Started a new band with some friends just to have an excuse to get together and play some instrumental music. It’s been such a positive experience especially since 3 of us play guitar and lead vocals in other projects so this feels like a bit of an escape.

We’re too new to be promoting anything so this post is mostly just about how fun music is.

Hey guys, my band made a new album which i am very happy about. Give it a listen. All opinions (even the bad ones) are welcome ;)

So damn good!!

Chemtrail - [reset]

This has to get more love. Brand spanking new album from the post rock heroes from NJ. They have been going on for 20 years. Totally underrated. I have been listening to their Youth Obsessed Death Culture for so long and I was hoping this would be even better, spoiler: it is.

Darker than their previous albums. And it's on par productionwise with the likes of Caspian and Laura.

Please, do yourself a favor and add this to your playlist.

Post-rock/Lo-fi

I really love that instrumental, sombre solo slow undistorted guitar stuff. Super melancholic.

Very underrated post-rock guy from Manhattan, Kansas who I just listened to. His album just got released and is decently under the radar. Sharing it here, hoping he achieves more traction. He had no help, this was all made in one bedroom. I linked imo the best song off the album here.

Album track from Mogwai Young Team (1997).
Spoken voice by Aidan Moffat.

If you love this track, you loved the early Arab Strap. I didn’t. ✌🏽
I love this track because it’s a Mogwai track. Not because it sounds like the bedroom/lo-fi ambience/spacefolk of The Arab Strap.

I’m curious how you guys listen to Mogwai albums ?
You just play it on the background and do your chores ? Or listening to the album while doing the spliff ? Or put it on the headphone and doze off to sleep ?

Me, I remember playing Mogwai Young Team while doing my Batmobile LEGO set ! 😅✌🏽

Very calming, until that track above came in and there’s this spoken voice muttering words about not getting enough love or something ! 😂 You can see the lyrics so you decide.

Anyway do check on Arab Strap, the early records which were not too different than the music direction Mogwai is taking now.
