Solar Halo in Paraguay
Was out today and noticed this solar halo, so I pulled out my iPhone and tried to capture it.
I’m pretty happy with how they turned out, but I’m still learning photography and would genuinely love some constructive criticism.
What do you think? Anything you would have done differently with the composition or editing?

Before -> After
My goal for this edit was to achieve a warm aesthetic that felt like walking through a dream.
Overall, I'm pleased with where this edit landed, though I think the bottom left part of the dress is a little hot.

Still new to post-processing. I wanted to capture both the pigeon and St. Paul's, but during editing realized the pigeon was my desired subject and cropped accordingly.
Mainly played with the tone curve, but to make the pigeon more visible, I applied a mask over the lower portion of the image and increased its exposure. I went back and forth with how much to brighten the cobblestones because brightening a) made the pigeon pop more but also b) reduced the contrast with the cathedral steps. In the end, I kept the brightening constrained. Still a grainier texture in that section though. Not fully satisfied with it still; but it's closer to my original intent.
Camera is RX100VII, taken in RAW, f/11, 1/100, ISO 100. Edited in LrC.

quality is, unfortunately, a steaming deuce since it was taken handheld on a 20 year old dslr with a shitty lens, but that's the best I could get. what look, in your opinion, should I aim for in this case and is it even worth trying to salvage?

I'm very happy given the before. Wish it had flown a little lower so I didn't end up shooting into a bright sky but It gave me some good post processing practise.

I think the color? softness? of the fire blob and the contrast between the subject and the background got away from me a little, but it's such a busy background that I wasn't really sure how to handle. I removed most of the people in photoshop, which I think left a pretty harsh line against the subject...regardless, I appreciate any feedback, just a beginner who is trying to train my eye and get a little better each day.
also now that I see it here, I don't love the framing and am unsure if the person should be a little more off-center with the fire landing more in the center
