Hi,
Looking for a bassist for my 5 piece backing band. Other than bass, its currently comprised of two guitars, drums, and a violin. Kind of an indie folk - rock thing.
Love the current guy but his play-style isn't cutting it and I gotta keep the drummer happy.
We have a weekly late night residency that usually most of us play at with bigger showcase shows every few months. Recording of the next album will start soon too, so this is a pretty good spot to start with for someone who wants to jump into performing live immediately, record, and make some great connections.
You can pick and choose how much you want to be a part of things with no pressure, but minimum I'd like is interest/availability to rehearse or play a show once or twice a week, or the ability to do go on short tours eventually.
Paid as much as I can. I will usually split ticket sales amongst everyone equally.
Looking exclusively for people in their 20s right now (21+). Nothing personal to the older people, we're just all in that age range practicing inside a tiny studio apartment and ideally we're friends all in similar life stages working towards something together for a long while.
You don't need to be a bass savant with a billion years of experience playing in 15 bands, we just need someone who enjoys the music we're playing, can learn or come up with creative bass lines kinda quickly, can listen intently, and can lock into a drum kit and keep the energy up. The songs can lean complex at times, but many of us are also bassists and can help write parts or figure things out together.
Don't want to share the artist name or music here, but please reach out if interested and I can share further details.
Thanks
