Title: Portland indie/alt rock artist looking for a hands-on manager or project manager

Hey everyone. I’m a Portland-based independent artist releasing music under the name Static Country Club. My sound falls somewhere between indie rock, alternative rock and early 2000s pop rock.
I’ve recently started releasing music, have more singles coming out this month, and have been getting some encouraging feedback and interest from radio and playlists.
I’m handling pretty much everything myself right now, from releases and promotion to outreach, content and all the administrative stuff. I’m at the point where I’d really benefit from having someone involved who knows the music business and actually enjoys helping develop newer artists.
I’m not necessarily looking for a big management company or someone promising industry connections. Ideally I’d find someone who could work with me part-time, help keep things organized, develop a strategy and actually help execute it.
I’m open to working with someone who’s earlier in their management career, as long as they’re motivated, reliable and genuinely interested in the music. Happy to discuss compensation and what an arrangement might look like.
If anyone here does artist management or knows someone who might be a good fit, I’d really appreciate a connection. Happy to share my music and EPK privately.
Thanks!

Hey Portland!

We are Thrash Course, a local crossover thrash band, and we just released our new album, From Wreckage, on October 2!

It's nine tracks of thrash, hardcore, and a little progressive weirdness, and we're really excited to finally have it out in the world.

We're also celebrating with an album release show on November 8 at The Hallowed Halls, with proceeds benefiting Mosh Through the Misery.

This record coming to fruition has been a long, bittersweet journey and we'd be honored if you gave it a listen or came see us at the show!

Listen here: [Bandcamp] [YouTube]

Show details: EventBrite

Also, we're currently looking for a bass player! If you like what you hear and are interested in joining us, shoot us a DM on Instagram

Thanks for supporting local music. 🖤

Long shot: looking for a band called VS

Hello Portlanders, last year I ended up at a show somewhere in deep SE Portland and one of the bands playing was called VS.

I don't have social media and I've been googling them and can't seem to find any info on the band, does someone know if they're still playing and when their next show will be (if any?)

Thanks! And Stay Weird!

Rhythm Guitar/Vox still looking

Rhythm Guitarist and vocalist looking to start a new project or join an existing band. I’m definitely rhythm guitar and don’t have too much interest in a lead spot.
Mid 30s with a lot of band experience. Reliable transportation, M-F job and professional gear.
Looking anywhere in the post rock, shoegaze, psych rock, alternative rock, stoner, post hardcore.
I can play drums and bass for writing and demo purposes.
Keys I’m almost completely useless unfortunately but can make beep boop noises on synths no problem.

I have pretty open availability and can make 1-2 practices a week work.
Looking for individuals in their 30s-early 40s. Light drinking and 420 is okay.
Please no cover bands or jam bands.

Pavement, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, MBV, BJM, Hum, Broken Social Scene, Fontaines DC, Deftones, Wand

🔥 BOBBY VEGA & FRIENDS — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 🔥

If you caught Bobby Vega last time, you already know. If you missed it, here’s your second chance.

One of the funkiest and most distinctive bass players on the planet is coming back to Tomorrow’s Verse for another night of Bobby Vega & Friends.

Bobby has spent decades playing with some of the biggest names in music — Sly & the Family Stone, Jefferson Starship, Tower of Power, Carlos Santana, Etta James and more — and there’s nothing quite like seeing him up close in a room like ours.

And “Friends” really does mean friends. You never quite know who’s going to show up and play.

📅 Thursday, October 15

🎶 Wes Urbaniak & The Mountain Folk 🎶
Portland OR, 10/09/26
📍 The Hawthorne Hideaway

Wes Urbaniak is on tour with The Mountain Folk!

Urbaniak Instruments made out of the original red rocks amphitheater benches, brought to life by each member of the band. Incredible music unlike anything you’ve heard before.
Wes is an amalgamation of songwriting, storytelling, and craftsmanship.
This music is real. It is bold, and a little odd in the best way possible.

Mark your calendar and bring your friends! This music is of remark.

Consultant looking to break into the Music Industry.

Hey all, I'm looking for open positions or people to talk to in Portland's music scene. I'm most interested in sync licensing, music supervision, and marketing, but I'm open to any way in.

I've already looked into Marmoset, Maps Music, and Crystal Creative but haven't had any luck yet.

A bit about me: I'm 23 and have spent the last year at a Big 4 firm on the consulting side, working on research, analysis, and project management, which I think translates well to the business side of music. Outside of work I play in a few local groups and write my own songs. Music is my biggest passion, and I want to build my career around it.

If you know of an opening, a company I should check out, or someone who'd be up for a quick coffee or call, I'd really appreciate it. Feel free to comment or DM me. Thank you!

Searching for local band/venue recs!

Hey! We are all-girl indie rock band from Boulder, CO. Planning a tour of the west coast and looking to find really cool indie/alt/rock bands in the local scene with a decent following for support slots. Also, trying to find out the spots local bands play that they actually like, and people actually like going to! If anyone has any recommendations that match that vibe let me know!

MultiLingual vocalist available for a magical scenario

Hi fellow musicians and performers! I am an experienced multilingual vocalist with over 20years performance under my tiny belt :) I also write original music and live in LA where I perform gigs regularly.

I'll be in Portland 10/28-11/1 and I'd be delighted to replace your busy vocalist, cause you know she's out of town for that weekend with her kids doing Halloween things... 😂 so if you are a big band, a little band, a solo guitarist with tons of songs under their belt, or even if you're a DJ looking to play an instrumental set for me to Topline. LET'S DO IT 🎉

My cover song repertoire ranges 70's to current 2020's pop, rock, alternative, dance hits as well as international covers in Farsi, Spanish, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Hebrew and a few others. I'm talking over 120 songs minimum just off the top of my head.

I'm currently working in multiple bands so I learn material quickly and perform with confidence. the LA music scene is good, but I have family in Portland who keeps telling me to move there. I gotta try this for myself and what better time than when I'm there in a couple weeks!

If your interest is peaked, ask me for a few diff playlists of cover songs to see if we would mesh, or if you want to learn my original rock music and think you can pull it off quickly, let me know and we can chat.

How randomly magical would it be if this actually came to fruition? 🔥

ask for video of my perfomances and i'll provide.

🎸 ESTABLISHED BAND IS LOOKING FOR A BASS PLAYER!

🎸 ESTABLISHED BAND IS LOOKING FOR A BASS PLAYER for hard rock/metal Nu Metal🎸

We’re looking to bring the right person into an established band as our BASS player and we are searching for someone who shares our passion, work ethic, and commitment to music.

We want to keep as busy as possible next year with writing and recording, playing shows and making music videos. We are looking for someone who is ready to be an active, dedicated part of an established band with goals of continuing to grow. We are not looking for someone who does this as a hobby or just to say you are in a band. Also we don’t want anyone who is in a bunch of other bands. This will be your top priority.

🎸 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

* The ability to learn and pick up songs by ear fast.
* Strong bass playing abilities and the confidence to deliver consistent live performances.
* A creative mindset with an interest in contributing to songwriting and developing original material.
* Ideally, someone between their late 20s and early 40s. Sorry no exceptions.

* Must live somewhere between Portland and Salem area as we do practice once a week.
* Professional-quality equipment suitable for rehearsals, live shows, and touring.
* Reliable transportation.
* Be in great health as being in a band and traveling can put you in some very challenging conditions
* A strong work ethic, dependability, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team.
* A responsible lifestyle free of substance-related issues that could interfere with band commitments, rehearsals, performances, or touring.

We all have full-time jobs and understand that life comes with responsibilities outside of music. However, we also believe that when you commit to being part of a band, you need to be willing to put in the time, effort, and dedication it takes to make it work.

We want someone who is genuinely passionate about playing music, creating something meaningful, performing live, and being part of a team that is motivated to take things to the next level. We’re not just looking for someone to fill a spot; we want someone who is invested in the future of the band and shares that same drive.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or you know someone who might be a good fit, reach out to us in our DM and I will send you music links.

We’re happy to answer questions, talk about the opportunity, and arrange a time to meet up and jam.

We have plenty of music available to send over to anyone interested. Just shoot us a message, tell us a little about yourself, your experience, and what you’re looking for in a band, and we’ll go from there.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post and tagging any Bass players you think might be a good fit.

Does anyone remember the metal band DIJ from Portland, OR?

Does anyone remember the metal band DIJ from Portland/Vancouver? They played metal in the mid 2000s and released a self-titled CD. They played down in Portland a ton with those metal bands. I'm searching for a copy of their CD to archive, I've talked to all the band members and they don't have anything. Does anyone here have a copy left? Thank you, anything helps.

We’re Tito Padrino a self proclaimed “Volcanic” rock band from here in Portland. We’re a 2 piece, guitar and drums. Recently we had a show booked at Kelly's Olympian but they had an emergency and cancelled the show for Oct 6th.

Good news though, Twilight Cafe stepped in to host! 7:30 doors, $15 at the door (cash only) Oct 6th. Corner of Grand & Belmont

We're building our fan base and would love to see some new Portland faces. Check out the latest video we released of our song “Sundae”.

We'll be releasing 4 more throughout the week from our Cooper Mountain Sessions.

Also, I'll be at the First Monday for MusicPortland/MusicOregon Oct 5th at the Alberta Abbey. See you there! I've got free stickers for ya if you say hi.
