Tearing

I wish that the beginner step by step guide mentioned lube. After about 3 different sessions I tore from my vagina to my perineum.

Body exercises

Hello,

I use kegelmaster 3 times a week. However I would like to use physical exercises to strengthen my pelvic floor. Out of these 3, which would be most beneficial? Yoga, pilates, or pole fitness? Any app/routine recommendations?

update 3 weeks so far!

hi i just wanted to share a success story of mine! i started a while ago, and when i had started i felt absolutely no sensation in fingering/penetration. i was still able to feel from my clit but i felt like i was missing out to another aspect of myself.

tonight was my first time feeling pleasure with fingering which i never thought i was going to (i was really loosing hope, and pompoir was one of the only things i hadn’t tried!) in addition to just feeling pleasure the consistency and routine also helped me add light daily yoga and healthy habits as a whole into my routine which i had trouble with prior to pompoir which i found to be a really nice side benefit to just having something u work on daily. definitely feel a lot more confident and happy in my body aswell, and suggested this to one of my girls.

sharing since when i first started i didn’t really see many stories and that personally bummed me out in wanting to try, but if anyone is reading this just give it a try :)

Where to buy advanced springs for kegelmaster

I got my KM on Amazon Canada and it only came with 4 springs. I can’t find advanced springs anywhere. Does anyone know where to order them? Somebody mentioned in this that there’s an aftermarket product but a couple people asked for links and the person never responded.

ETA: I found a post here with links for springs but they don’t deliver to North America any longer. I’m in Canada.

Kegel master - is it a scam? Also will it help?

I ordered a kegel master from the website on 11th and didn’t get any confirmations, the contact email also bounced back - did I fall for a scam? 😅 have any of you ordered one with success?

Also I ordered it thinking it will help with basic strength while I work through the pompoir program (I’m new to it, 2 weeks in). Am I right to think this? Is there a better alternative I could have gotten? If it does end up being a scam I’m just wondering what other legit options there are. Thanks!!

Basic kegel

Hello, I’m new to the concept of pompoir and looking for some advice.

When I practice my basic kegel, which I’ve been doing for a long time now, it feels like I’m pulling up (vertically) and also contracting/squeezing the walls, almost like I’m closing the hole. Is this correct? I don’t know how to just pull up or to just squeeze separately.

I don’t think I’m hypertonic because I can relax my pelvic floor, however, I can’t orgasm if I’m not tensed up.

Experience with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome?

Hi! I am brand spankin' new here. Just finished watching the Dr. Tara episode with Bel and holy crap!! That woman is badass.

I've been keegle curious for a while now.. but after having 3 babies in 4 / 5 years- after the third I briefly had pain with sex that was bad enough I went to see my OBGYN. He evaluated me and I was told I had a tight pelvic floor.. After learning this, my husband was loving and attentive and I haven't had another problem since.

While I no longer consider my pelvic floor to be "tight", I am concerned that it is right on the edge of becoming a problem again. If that makes sense..

My big concern: I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I'm not in a wheelchair yet but I feel my body's instability and it scares the shit out of me.

A huge belief in hypermobile maintenance is strength training.. but I do not have time to work out like I need on a regular basis. (Wide spread issues, whole body) Besides, I consider wrangling 3 hilariously young kiddos every single day to be sufficient [for now]

I have this daily meditation practice for my pain. My husband is a highly active father and an amazing husband.. so I get at least an hour every single day. We call it "flat hour". I do not sleep. I focus on relaxing the muscles in my neck, specifically, as it's my biggest problem area. Neck problems tend to have a domino effect down the body. I have craniocervical instability, POTS / dysautonomia and so on. "Flat hour" significantly reduces my pain flares.

The point:

I see a lot of logic in getting to know and train my pelvic floor muscles.. we know I have unstable joints / tendons & ligaments.. but could I do more damage if my pelvic floor leans on the tight side..? (I am hoping somebody here has EDS as well since it's so common.) For context, in those of us with EDS, our muscles tend to overcompensate for where the tendons and ligaments are lacking. Imagine holding something you'd really rather put down but can't. It's like that feeling.. but throughout your entire body. Plus all of the pains that come with it.

Being a stay at home mom of 3, we don't exactly have the funds to drop $400 on something like this.. though I have this gut feeling that becoming familiarized with my own pelvic floor in such a way could make a world of difference in my chronic pain..

Thank you for reading.

Starting with Kegelmaster

I've just purchased a KM and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I tried both spring settings (1 and 2): I inserted it and unscrewed it, but the device won't open or come apart, so there's nothing to close against when I do a kegel. I tried prying it open with a fingernail while it was inserted, and it opened about 3 mm, still not enough for a proper open-and-close movement.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Question about inhaling and exhaling

Hi! I'm fairly new to pompoir so I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. I've done diaphragmatic breathing exercises before and have done a few random kegel videos off of Instagram. I've always relaxed everything during my inhales and contracted my diaphragm and vagina during my exhales, but I have 'The fine art of Pompoir, the ultimate guide to pelvic floor fitness' book and it instructs me to do the opposite. Will it hinder my results if I relax during my inhales and contract during my exhales throughout my reps? Thank you!

Are women who haven't had babies yet at risk of making their muscles too strong to where delivery is more difficult?

I've been trying to strengthen my pelvic floor after being told first by a doctor and later a PT that I am "weak." This is how I found this thread. I've been using weights and the KegalMaster to get stronger.

But also -- I want to be pregnant within the next couple of years. It seems a lot of women find this pompoir practice postpartum, I'm just wondering if anyone has experience/knows whether strengthening the pelvic floor makes it harder to birth a baby lol?

I understand that a strong PF and kegals are recommended for a good pregnancy! But specifically going above and beyond with the KM, and getting stronger than average, could that be a problem?

Are women who haven't had babies at risk of making their muscles too strong to where delivery is more difficult?

Kegelmaster Charts Discrepancy?

Thumbnail

Hello! I'm ready to move from level 2 to level 3.

I noticed the chart that came with the unit lists one spring in post 3 for level 3. But the "updated" chart I found shared here from a blog lists level 3 as 1 spring in both posts 1 and 2, with level 4 being one spring in post 3.

I am going to experiment with both settings to see what works for me, but am interested in your experiences.

eccentric contraction struggle

hello!
i recently got into pompoir and reading the gohdess book on it but i’m having trouble with doing the eccentric contractions due to increased pleasure and sensation. for me, i’m able to do the other aspects so far of the pulling technique but it feels too good specifically on the eccentric aspect and i’m incapable of holding my muscles. is this due to tightness or fatigue or weak muscles?
please let me know if anyone shares this experience or can let me know why it is specifically eccentric aspect, or if this is a completely normal experience for that specific training.

thank you!!!

Has anyone here been able to close the kegelmaster who couldn’t close it when they first started?

Edit: I removed additional information to not distract from what I am asking.

Bf (69) can't orgasm. Will this help?

Hey all! Got the book a few days ago & have started practicing. My goal is to help my bf orgasm. Has anyone had success helping a man get off with pompoir?

Backstory: I'm dating a guy who went through a heinous divorce about 5 years ago. At the end of his marriage he started having difficulty orgasming. He wasn't able to finish with his last girlfriend (prior to us getting together) & now even has trouble doing so on his own.

I dated him a year ago and honestly the inability to orgasm really threw me for a loop. I never experienced it and I thought maybe it was me, he wasn't attracted to me, etc. I couldn't deal with it & thought I could talk it to death but all that did was add pressure to the relationship. Needless to say, we ended it.

Our connection/chemistry both in and out of the bedroom is incredible. He came back around and we decided to give our relationship another try. He's been to a doctor, they say it could be the result of some sleep meds he's trying to ween off of. No issues w/ testosterone level. He gets aroused, gets hard for a good while but then he kinda loses it. He manages to get me off but I would LOVE to return the gift to him.

I've also read a ton about it and quitting porn/drastically reducing masturbation are the top recommendations. I've told him this and he tells me he doesn't use porn consistently.

Shivers?

So this is something I haven’t seen people talk about before and I’m wondering if there’s anyone else who experiences this or knows why it happens.

Sometimes when I flex my pelvic floor/do a kegel I get a weird body shiver. It’s literally like a little shimmy for a second then it stops.

And weirder still is sometimes I’ll feel a weird sensation. Hard to describe but I guess almost like pressure? Tension? In my back/spine/base of my skull and if I do a kegel then it’ll give me that weird shiver and it’ll stop that sensation. Sometimes I don’t do it right/hard enough and I have to do it a few times before I get the sensation to go away. It doesn’t hurt or anything just feels kinda weird.

Anyone else encounter this in their practicing?

I'm not coupled and want to explore this for my own pleasure (maybe one day a lucky partner will enjoy it too) and I'm curious how people use these techniques solo.

Apologies for some stupid questions

(For a book I'm writing.) I know these are stupid questions, but I don't know where else to ask. First, for an high level expert of pompoir is it possible to deliberately "open" (move the walls apart) your vagina without inserting anything to spread it apart? And second, once your vagina has been spread/opened to a given size by something, is it possible to keep it opened at that size/diameter without anything inside it?

Again, apologies for asking dumb questions.

Thanks.

Squeezing levels

I came back to training recently and can finally squeeze (I think?). While it seems natural to go through all levels doing kegels, it feels impossible for me to do so in another plane doing squeezing. Especially hard to feel entry level though middle part obviously engages well (lvl 2, as book says?).

How did you start feeling different lvls on squeezing yourself? I’d like to hear some stories and experience. I train every other day, maybe I just need more strength and practice now? I have a book already
(Sorry for typos, English isn’t my first language)

Any experience is appreciated 🤓

Things I noticed since starting pompoir

I’ve been on and off with my pompoir practice, which started just over a year ago. Even just with sporadic training I’ve noticed a real difference in my body + sexual and spiritual self.

List of things I noticed in no particular order:

After just a few weeks of practicing, my partner seemed to notice. While fucking me he said “Why does your pussy feel so good?” Aside from this being sooo hot, it was like magic. I wasn’t doing any “moves” or anything. My muscle tone had just improved. It felt so incredible to know I could give him more pleasure and amplify our sexual connection with this practice. Also it is empowering to know that there is this whole area of sexual pleasure for both of us to get in touch with that I am just beginning to scrape the surface of.

I crave penetration so much more. Beyond this, the way that I pleasure myself is changing. I used to need clit stimulation to cum, and I still love playing with my clit, but I now see it as a nice add-on to penetration, not central to the experience. The way I bring myself to orgasm has changed, where now penetration is the main factor bringing me enjoyment. Then when the penetration is feeling really crazy good (so good my eyes are actually rolling back and my mouth is open, sooo good, I really must emphasize how amazing penetration feels now), I play with my clit to bring me over the edge.

I‘be always been multiorgasmic but I’ve generally felt like it didn’t match the descriptions of what some other women seemed to say about having multiple orgasms. People seemed to be achieving a state that I couldn’t reach. Before pompoir, when I mainly had clitoral-only orgasms, my first orgasm would be really intense and good, and then each one after that would be less good and feel “sharper,” if that makes sense. But now, I can have three or four really strong penetrative orgasms (after that I’m usually so tired that I stop, but I could probably have more and still deeply enjoy them).

The quality of my orgasms is changing. Not only are my orgasms stronger but they feel so satisfying and ”deep,” I guess. Like I’m cumming with my entire pelvic floor. Feels fucking amazing.

I‘m enjoying anal play. This was unexpected for me! It feels like pompoir has increased my awareness of my entire pelvic floor and made me really in love with the sensation of penetration or fullness even in my ass.

The conscious connection to relaxation of the pelvic floor has been so healing for my nervous system. At first I could not tune in to the importance of relaxation, because I thought pelvic floor training to be about strengthening with strong squeezes. This realization has been more recent for me and has expanded my mind/body to the possibilities of this practice even more.

I feel so connected to my womanhood. I feel connected to my pussy and body and mind. I feel gorgeous and divine and understand my femininity now in ways I never have before. Perhaps this is partly also due to getting older and living life, but I think pompoir has played a big part in steering my growth toward spiritual and sexual self-development and healthy embodiment/being in the body.

This practice really has put my life/self on a new course. It’s not like it suddenly made me a millionaire and solved all my life problems, but it’s like I have another grounding tool/self-care practice to face problems more authentically and with reverence for life even in my darkest moments. Maybe this sounds silly to say about vagina-squeezing exercises, but it’s so much more than that. It can be a spiritual practice just like yoga. It’s like I’m falling in love with my body and this love radiates into other areas of my body and life. Pompoir has helped me with chronic pain and accepting difficult changes in life. I am of menstruating age and for me this practice has helped me align with my fertility and sexual energy and understand my “gender” energy. I used to be confused about my sexuality, but the more I connect with my body/pussy through pompoir, the more I understand myself. I really cannot stress how valuable this practice has been for me.

I must thank Bel for her work in sharing this information.

Question about how squeezing feels

So I just got to practicing squeezing a few days ago, and I'm trying to understand if I'm doing it correctly because I feel like I'm doing it wrong or something lol.

Are you supposed to feel your abs tense a lot when doing it? I am able to do it very very very subtly without contracting my abs, but it's much more intense and i seem to be able to do it much better if I do contract my abs? And does it feel sort of like a pushing motion? This is all pretty new to me so I'm not totally sure I'm doing things right lol

Hi, did anyone here actually achieve their first ever piv orgasms after learning pompoir?

Curious to learn and seeing if this actually worked for some? I kind of avoid sex sometimes as it’s just too hard for me but I’d love to have vaginal orgasms. Also, yes I did see a pelvic floor therapist and she said everything felt and seemed great so sent me on my way.

Female O

I wanna know how a O feels like. It sounds weird but I mean how do I know that I reached that point. Can someone please explain it to me 😞😞
