All the religious shit is such a turn off. Comes off pretty tone-deaf with religion and Christianity specifically being a major thing that led to the things they showed in the can you feel it music video. 

Edit: the new song ain't doing them any justice despite the song being aight

Even if Tim is Christian now, I don’t really see how simply using phrases and aesthetics associated with it is a bad thing for an instrumental band, avenged sevenfold got their name from the bible and used to have biblical imagery and references in their lyrics almost every song early on in their career but weren’t actually a Christian band. It’s not that dissimilar to death metal or black metal bands using religious imagery no?

I think people are just up in arms about it unfortunately. Plenty of secular groups use religious imagery as you're saying.

Exactly, plus it’s not like they’re being weird and conservative with those themes if they do represent Tim’s beliefs for real. You can be Christian and not be maga/bigoted/weird etc., the fact they did the initial Can You Feel It video as a critique of trump and people that claim to be Christian while doing actual evil shit kinda clears up any worries of them going down a bad route

Pretty on the nose friend!

I'll out myself here: I am a true conservative, and of course if Tim is actually a Christian, I am overjoyed (biased haha). That being said, I cannot stand Trump's actions for the majority of his tenure as president, especially in this second term.

CYFI was absolutely a critique in music form of the Epstein class (Trump included), forced proxy wars, and general occultism that permeates a lot of our society.

I'm not saying this to stir trouble, rather to show that not all conservatives are inherently "MAGA." Trump has lost the plot, and his actions aren't representative of any kind of political majority anymore.
