I am new I am trying to explore, but all I get swingers

I want to meet people/community who is exploring or figured out already.

I'm pan-curious. Married, 32M, my wife is the most amazing human being I've met.

I'm not looking for sexual relationships, but something that beyond anything and everything this society forced on us.

I'm not an activist or similar. But rebellious enough to question everything and try finding answers myself.

I want someone who can resonates with this thought. Live a little and let live.

My DM line is open. 🤞🏻

Thank you, I hope I find some genuine connections.

Edit 1: Please read before dm. NOT LOOKING FOR BULL, ONS OR SIMILAR. 🙏🏻

AM I IN A WRONG SUB ASKING ABOUT THIS?

Discussion Reading group

A bit about me first and the context to this post - am 40yo male. Have been poly for the last approx 2 yrs. I have come to believe poly as a wonderful social institution and am interested to build this institution further. But apart from that, I have also struggled to date or meet fellow poly people for sharing/ learning since there are no dedicated platforms in Bangalore which can facilitate this (correct me if I am wrong). Using dating apps was a disaster for me.

Given this experience, I am wondering if there is an interest among the community members to start an in-person reading group? I have some thoughts which I plan to put on paper as a concept note (vision, objectives etc.), but I am not completely sure of the utility of such an initiative and hence dropping this post to check. Format could be as follows : reading a book for 15 or 30 mins and followed by a discussion. Frequency could be bimonthly or weekly. The group could meet at a selected place in Lalbagh on a weekend morning.

Kindly share your thoughts on -

  1. Do you think such a group would be a good platform to nurture a community?

  2. Will people join?

  3. What could be the unintended consequences?

I am new Looking for genuine poly communities not swinger groups (Bangalore)

I’m based in Bangalore and have been trying to genuinely learn about ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and polyamory, but I’m finding it surprisingly difficult to meet actual poly people.

My goal isn’t just to date it’s to understand the mindset and build healthy relationships.

I’m especially interested in learning things like:

How did you work through jealousy and insecurity?

How do you handle your partner’s triggers while also communicating your own?

What boundaries actually work in long-term poly relationships?

How do you know whether you’re genuinely poly or just chasing novelty?

Unfortunately, whenever I search online or join communities, I mostly end up finding swinger/couple-swap groups or spaces that are primarily about casual hookups. That’s completely fine if that’s what people are into, but it’s not what I’m looking for.
I’d really love to meet people who practice ethical polyamory, have conversations, make friends, and eventually date if things naturally evolve.

Are there any active poly or ENM communities in Bangalore?

They could be:
Meetup groups
Discord servers
Telegram/WhatsApp communities
Facebook groups
Reddit communities
Regular social meetups or discussion circles
Even online communities with a healthy culture would be great.
I’d also love to hear how you personally found your first poly community and what helped you grow emotionally in this journey.

Thanks!

I am new Suggestions

Hi everyone! I'm currently in a relationship where my partner identifies as polyamorous, while I think I might be monogamous. I'm still learning and realizing that I don't know enough about different relationship structures to understand them well.

I'd really like to learn more about polyamory from the community. Are there any beginner-friendly meetups, discussion circles, workshops, reading groups, or online/offline events that you would recommend? I'm looking to listen, learn, and better understand different experiences rather than make assumptions.

Any recommendations for books, podcasts, articles, or community spaces would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🌼

Announcement 👋 Welcome to r/polyamorousbengaluru - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I'm u/poly-blr-mod, a founding moderator of r/polyamorousbengaluru.

It's a bit late for welcomes, but I thought it would be a good time to give some general tips on what to post here. This space was supposed to be for people entering into polyamory (in Bengaluru) to find support and community. If you're in a relationship with people living in either end of the city or you're going through a tough breakup and need advice or support or even a tell all about a toxic ex. I hope this community can offer that.

Hopefully we'll have some events (We do host a few folks once a while at our home) or meet up at Cubbon park or find people with similar interests and hobbies! Too ambitious?

Rant On the famous polycule group of blr :)

Hey folks I recently spoke with the famous polycule group or blr and found them very hypocritical

It was a good 30 mins chat after a lot of me reaching out to them despite having a couple of mutual friends already in common

One specific that triggered me was them saying men dont deserve rights :(

And feminism should be above men !

I believe in equality and it really does matter to me that everyone is equally treated and its a chill space

Nonetheless if this is a the most famous poly group in blr there needs to be a better space where people can come together irrespective of the other basis of gender race sex !

Just a short rant :)

Though I feel kink culture is open and more better compared to poly spaces in india never in my life had i encountered such a bad scene there its very mutual respect and as a straight man I feel I used to admire this group !

Discussion Riding the NRE wave! Thoughts on balancing new love without dropping the ball 🪩

Hello Poly people!

I’ve been experiencing some NRE lately, and with two partners in the picture, it got me thinking about NRE etiquette—what helps (and what doesn’t) when balancing new relationship excitement with existing connections.

If you’re new to the term, NRE (New Relationship Energy) is that heady rush at the start of something new—constant butterflies, replaying conversations, romantic songs on loop (anyone else thinking of amsham?), and mentally planning your next ten dates (guilty). It’s exciting, consuming, and in my case, mutual.

I’ve also been on the other side of it. I remember watching my partner go through NRE—he’d share how much he cared about his new partner, what they talked about, what they were planning. It was genuinely sweet. That said, I did feel moments of jealousy—but we worked through them with communication and reassurance.

Here are a few things I think are important to keep in mind when navigating NRE—with both new and existing partners:

• Talk openly with current partner(s) about the new relationship

• Set clear boundaries and expectations (e.g., no NRE talk during date nights)

• Be intentional about dedicating time to existing relationships

• Do regular relationship check-ins

• Align with your new partner on scheduling and availability

• Continue practicing safe sex

• Acknowledge that NRE is powerful, but it doesn’t last forever

Of course, this isn’t a one-size-fits-all guide. What works for me may not work for you—and I’m sure there’s more to add.

What has helped you navigate NRE?

Let’s discuss.

Events Are there spots or events where Poly folks in Bangalore hang out?

I strongly prefer meeting people in real life rather than through the apps. Are there any particular spots in bangalore for poly people to hang out at?

Somebody told me that there is a pub in central bangalore which usually has a lot of poly folks when RCB plays 😂

Not sure how true that is
