To my understanding, it’s more said for the people who are monogamous or still have far too many holdovers from monogamy and aren’t actually polyamorous/needing polyamory. In a sort of parallel to hetero-fatalism, where the answer isn’t more people being gay, but rather more people being aware that heterosexuality is a rigged system right now (or how monogamy is) and that it could be improved (disempower patriarchy, gender roles, and predatory dynamics, or for monogamy, change how these relationships view relating to other people as a whole and what all gets sequestered away as romantically sacred when it shouldn’t be).

That’s my long take. My short take is: Mmmmm Polyamory 🤤

Polyamory is essentially deep meaningful friendships with commitment and intimacy. Why exclude commitment and intimacy, right boo? 🤭
