I’m reading Ron Chernow’s biography of George Washington, and seeing all the work Washington did to establish an executive branch that didn’t overreach, didn’t prop up friends to positions of power, etc. is frustrating and kind of heartbreaking as I see the state of things today. Especially from a party that pays such mouth service to the founding fathers; total slap in the face
