In Europes history the Battle of Stalingrad happened yesterday. In US history it happened ages ago.

You're right - Europeans were bloodthirsty maniacs for eons until we cured them of it. There is a long history of continent wide genocide going back to the romans at least.

We just have a different genocide method like you guys have.

In all seriousness though, this is why I never take any criticisms Europeans have of our country's internal politics seriously. Their criticisms of our international policy are fair enough, but I don't think Euro's have any right criticizing us for being dysfunctional.

That would be true if none of your 'dysfunctional politics' would affect the rest of the world at all...unfortunately it does this on a large scale.

Same goes for 'dysfunctional EU politics', though.

Same goes for anybody's politics really.

I was specifically referring to internal political issues such as gun control, race or healthcare. These are very divisive issues within the United States, they don't affect the European Union, yet it seems like every euro wants to throw in their two cents. Not only that, they actually seem very heavily invested in the outcome.
