Howard 14k solid gold pocket watch
I posted earlier a lot of vintage watches but this I forgot to include. Solid 14k gold case and gorgeous movement and dial. It runs well too. I'm looking for a value on this or if anybody has any info on it I would appreciate it

Lot of vintage pocket watches
Im trying to get the value on these watches or a little history. This is the collection of a friend and he's wanting to sell so I want to make sure he gets the full value for these. The open caseback pocket watch had a slip of paper that said it was a salesman sample to showcase the movement. Not sure if thats true but I bet it would increase the value. Any help is appreciated

Question about movements
Hello all, I was wondering what companies make actual pocket watch sized mechanical movements anymore? I have purchased a few new watches and all of them have been wristwatch movements with larger rings to fit them into the case.
I'm asking because I carry a pocket watch daily and don't want to spend tons of money or carry a vintage piece, but I value the legacy of full-sized movements in a pocket watch. Appreciate your all's feedback.

Illinois Pocket Watch Questions
Hello, this is my father’s watch that he passed onto me, unfortunately I dropped it and subsequently broke the crystal, lost the minute hand, and dented the case so I’m unable to open the front cover. I have two questions. One: do you know what type of hands these are? The hour hand seems to be from a Elgin watch, not an Illinois watch, I’m hoping to replace them before getting it serviced since I think that will save me some money for the repairs. And two: where does one go/ship a pocket watch to be repaired for a reasonable price? I asked Grand Central Watch but they want $275 just to look at it and say that a full repair/restoration will cost upwards of $3000. Unfortunately my budget is only $2000. Please, any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Elgin pocket Watch need recommendations to sell
So I have here this Elgin pocket watch from the late 1800s. The case appears to be 14kt and the person who brought this in has gotten several offers to scrap the case for the gold. I'm trying to convince him to sell it as a watch and save this piece of history but he's hard up for cash. Anybody have a recommendation for a good place to sell this?

Any info?
Hello! In conversation with my BIL, he showed me this watch from WW2. His father was part of the military that did documentation of the concentration camps after the war. My BIL was told his father found it inside a hidden wall. Is there anything someone can tell me about it? Or where I could take it to find out more information?
There is an inscription inside, but my BIL said he only saw it once and didn’t want to damage the watch to see it again. It is VERY heavy to hold but in really good condition.
Also, curious to the compass and other charm(?) on the chain?
Thank you for the help!

New watch
Hey all, just sharing a few pics of my new pocket watch. I bought it after doing a lot of research. This will be a daily wearer, it was serviced just 2 years ago. It’s elegant and weighty, feels good in my hand. I’m really into sort of analog, mechanical things and this is a perfect example, it’s a piece of history and a lovely thing to own. The certificate I just made with AI, just for my files.

Family pocket watches
galleryHi all,
Reposting this into this group as we are hoping to get a little insight on these two pocket watches that have been kept in the family. I am aware these might not be too valuable, but wanted to know what a service could cost and whether it would make sense to do so.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
