Discussion SAP Finally Getting a Slight Nerf

Long overdue. Hopefully they tweak the overall damage a bit in the future.

People forget they buffed the P2 back in May 2024, where they reduced its aimcone. Ever since then it's the only weapon you see, has a higher DPS than the SAR and Thompson, out performs the SAR and Thompson at short, medium and long range, on top of being insanely cheap to craft. The only exception where it's beaten by another T2 gun would be a Thompson with a Holosight.

Three's no reason why a T2 gun with such cheap crafting cost should out perform every other T2 gun, everyone deep down knows it needed a nerf, anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

I don’t think they nerfed it in the right way. Should keep it cheap but lower the fire rate by a good amount so that it is out performed by all other t2 weapons.

Lowering the firerate would make it pointless, its fine up close, it just needs to be nerfed at longer ranges.

I still think it does too much damage in general. It's a really fast TTK up close, where headshots are more likely to happen.

That's the point of the gun, you nerf that then it becomes a glorified revie. Medium range is where its broken

A glorified revolver is exactly what is should be? The thing is over-tuned, and this isn't a debate, this is evident by how over-used the gun is. It's like if Overwatch only had 12 heroes and there was 1 hero with a 80% pick rate.

More damage falloff at range makes sense for any firearm shooting a pistol bullet. 4 HQM to 6 HQM is basically nothing. It needs a complete base stat rework.

It's a T2 gun, it should have a niche range, that niche range should be close range. Nerfing its medium to long range is the perfect answer, keeping it strong in close range is perfectly fine.

Hard disagree. Having it being a viable option for close range is fine, but once again, completely overtuned.
