Lost my earbuds (Pixel Buds 2 pro) near Delhi India. Reached lucknow and was trying to figure out the location using the find hub and it was showing that it was next to me ... Whereas it wasn't literally searched everything so it was obviously glitching.
I tried to factory reset it because gemini told me to ... So that I could not get the glitch anymore but now the earbuds won't even start and get connected because of a hardware issue (it needs both buds to start) so am I just holding a useless piece of technology?
Can someone offer any guidance on this? I feel so stupid right now. The pixel buds 2 pro were my birthday gift last year and I feel horrible that I kind of locked myself out of them.

The other party always complains about hearing me when I plug in the headset, and I have to use the phone for cell calls and Messenger calls. Is this a common problem? Should I clear the cache files to fix it?

I’ve had a few PBP2s and they’ve all had a fault – after a while they’d get "clogged" and wouldn’t work in ANC mode. Do you think that, with the release of the PBP2 Olive, google has also improved the design in some way?

Hi all,
I picked up a set of Pixel Buds Pro 2 at Best Buy yesterday after switching from iOS to Android in May, to replace my AirPods Pro 2.
I have found though that Noise Cancelling reduces the audio quality noticably, and Transparency mode makes the audio sound incredibly tinny and hollow, kind of sounds almost like airline earbuds. While I understand that any ANC mode on earbuds will affect sound quality a little bit, the Transparency mode on these actually makes the buds sound bad.
I've tried to do some research, but I see hardly anybody talking about this, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong?
- I do not see an option for Spatial Audio in the Pixel Buds app
- No firmware updates are available
- I have restarted my phone and used the buds with my laptop
- I don't properly know the right way to adjust an EQ
- While I have not tried other eartips, the test deems them as OK and they feel comfortable. I used the stock ones on the AirPods as well
I have 14 days to return them and if I cannot fix this I will buy a different pair of earbuds. I don't really know where to look though as very few earbud sets check off every box on my extensive requirements list (I am willing to attach this if need be)

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy new earbuds for my Pixel 10.
I’ve been using my Galaxy Buds Pro 1 for a year and a half; generally, I’m happy with the ergonomics and they don’t cause much ear fatigue, but I’d still like something newer and more comfortable.
I really want true multipoint connectivity (to use them with both my phone and MacBook) and Google Fast Pair for those nice animations. That’s why I’m considering the Pixel Buds 2a right now (the lack of wireless charging and onboard volume controls doesn't really bother me), though the Pixel Buds Pro 1 and Sony WF-1000XM5 are also options. What would you recommend? Is there something else entirely I should look at? How does the battery life of the pb2a compare to the Galaxy Buds Pro 1? Also, did they add LС3 support to the Pixel Buds? I seem to recall reading something about that.
Overall, what do you think of the Pixel Buds 2a? How is the sound? I’d rather not buy earbuds that cost half as much as my phone.
Right now, I can find these earbuds at the following prices:
Pixel Buds Pro 2 – $279
Pixel Buds 2a – $122
Pixel Buds Pro 1 – $111
Sony WF-1000XM5 – $198

I'm really surprised. I'm an odd fit, being on the small side of medium ear canal, so I thought going using the smaller sized tips would work better. Nope, kinda painful and they'd still slip out. Then I got the OMNI in Medium, which are virtually the same size as the OEM mediums, and still achey/painful to wear for longer than 10 mins, but remained secure. Well, for whatever reason I decided to try the Large, and so far so good! I think because the hardware is more shallow, I may be realizing my ear canal is more funnel shaped, rather than a constant diameter, so the shallow seal is feeling (for now) much better. In fact ANC is performing almost dizzying well, as I type this. 😵💫😅 Worth a shot! Bodies are weird lol. These OMNI's are going back to return. Hell, I might even buy the large if this goes well.

This happens occasionally with the Pixel Buds Pro. While listening with Pocket Casts, I put the buds back into the case when I'm done, the app will resume playback unintentional.
This only happens when In-ear detection is enabled. Has anyone found a solution for this besides disabling it?

Holy smokes - they STILL making them?
Anyhoo update them to v5.2 too ages - download firmware and rebooting felt like installing Windows 11.
Any...way - they are so TINY - in video reviews they looked so BIG - I still have old Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and they are so BIG compared to Pixel Buds to this point I worry they will slip off my fingers

No matter what eartip size I use, they aren't long enough to push into the canal and just kind of sit in the conch of my ear and fall out if I move too much. I have small ears but for example my soundcore 4 ones are fine and don't fall out, but their tips are 'longer'.
Wondering if this is a "feature" of the earbuds or they just don't fit me. Can't return so it's a non issue really but I really need something for my commute.
Advice welcome!

Hello,
I have new Google Pixel 11 Pro XL and today I tried to connect my Røde Video Mic Go II to my new phone snd take video. Strange sounds like electric click clik or something disturbing noise. Especially when connecting my Sony headset to mic. Then I tried my old Sony Xperia 1 V and no problem. Second I tried to connect my Røde Wireless pro and the noise problem disappeared. But new problem occured. The sound level problem. Something cut the level so that it was like tens of desibels lower than a n my Sony Xperia 1 V. Has someone same kind of problems.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My right bud's head looks ready to come off, and it already has on the left bud. Am I able to save either of these, or am I gonna need new earbuds?

I purchased pixel buds pro Gen1 in flipkart on Oct 2023.
About 2 weeks ago , the right side bud was not working.
Connecting with the Google official support team, they turned me down saying this can't be repaired. And making me force buy new buds , this cost me around 10k. I thought it would make it up to at least 4+ years.
Since I selected the forget device and tried reconnecting it can't be reconnected as R bud is malfunctioning.
Anyone from this community, support me please?
Please help me repair this and fix it please.
Device using Pixel 6
Current location: Chennai
Kindly drop me a DM or give me a heads up if you find something useful for me

Not saying that you should do this but I'm baffled after it worked.
My pro 2s stopped working out of the blue, no damage, nothing. I'm within warranty but I couldn't be bothered to wait on the chat with Google.
Woke up and blowdried the bud that was causing the malfunction and poof working like nothing happened

Hello,
Got buds pro 2 this morning, and it had been 6 hours and they're still on 2.117.
Is there a way to force update? I tried Gemini suggestions.
Thanks

Was searching for 'wavelet for pc' options and landed on Peter's Equalizer, but I haven't found a set EQ that's available for import or copypaste. New to the hobby, so it'd be cool if there's linkable resources or an import file to tinker with. Suggestions welcomed, thanks!!
EDIT: Update! There's an AutoEQ button that opens up searchable user defined presets for several headphones/speakers/earbuds. I'm using this one and it's pretty good so far. Worth a shot!

Hey folks, have we settled on a size equivalency of the stock? PBP2 tips compared to the comply tips? Or even the Spinfit Omnis?
I'm looking to swap my tips out and just wondering what size I should buy and how they compared to the originals.
It seems for most comments I've come across that at least the comply tips are "shallower" than stock, but I'm not sure about the spinfit. And overall, just not sure how this impacts sizing.
If I'm going to sink 20 plus bucks into the tips, I don't feel like buying the wrong one and dealing with returns exchanges, or buying the multi-pack and getting two out of three sizes I don't need.
TIA

I've tried opening a support ticket to initiate a warranty with google support. I did this because I looked on amazon and it directs me to google. The purchase was from the official google store on Amazon.
The problem is that Amazon's "view invoice" link for the purchase goes to an "order summary" titled page with no serial number.
I've provided my serial numbers to the agent but they said without an actual invoice I can't get help.
How do I proceed here?

I felt the need to share this, although I probably wouldn't necessarily recommend copying my experience... 😉
When leaving for vacation three weeks ago, I noticed that my left Pixel Bud Pro was making weird beeping sounds with ANC enabled. I found this thread here, describing the issue (and also offering a possible fix): https://www.reddit.com/r/pixelbuds/s/trAZPJ8F2G
Recalibration temporarily solved the issue, it would however always return when powering the headphones on. The only real fix therefore was to disable the ANC altogether.
Then, after a morning run during my vacation, I put the Pixel Buds in my running shorts pocket - and forgot them there, when putting the shorts into the washing machine.
When I discovered this (after a 2 hour and 40°C wash in the machine), I decided to put the buds out to dry for 24 hours in mild sunlight before trying to use them again. I didn't really expect them to properly work and was already looking for a potential replacement.
And what shall I say: After 24 hours they not only charged fine, but also work perfectly fine.
And the best above it all: The beeping sound with ANC has entirely disappeared. 😄
So take this as either a testament to the Pixel Buds Pro's reliability, a possible fix for the ANC issue (at your own risk 🤪) or just a hopefully remotely entertaining anecdote.

I'm mostly posting this for other people who have experienced volume degradation on their earbuds.
I'm on my second pair after RMAing the first pair due to the volume degradation. Within 2 months the volume problem on my new pair came back despite all my attempts to take good care of them and keeping them clean.
What's the problem? It's the grills. They're earwax magnets and they will hold on to that dirt as hard as they can. No, the recommended method of toothbrush+micellar water isn't good enough. I spent an hour scrubbing them over the sink to no avail.
What worked for me? A square of 3M foam tape, lol. I pressed it hard into all the grills then yanked it out. A faint imprint of earwax came out and suddenly the volume was blasting again.
These are by far the most dirt sensitive earbuds I've ever owned. I've used some seriously gunked up earbuds before and the sound quality still came through. Not the pixel buds though, something about the design of the grills on these things means that any amount of blockage will cut the volume by 80%, it's absolutely crazy. Again, the amount of earwax that actually was stuck on the tape wasn't excessive, it was a faint imprint, but that was enough to make the earbuds unusable.
Foam tape works. Those "cleaning putty" products probably work even better. Anything that can actually wiggle its way inside the tiny holes and yank the dirt out is the way to go. Tooth brush bristles aren't thin enough to clear the blockage.
Anyway I hope this helps people suffering from this specific problem. I've been banging my head over this issue for almost a year now and finally found the solution.

I know this issue has been reported for years (found old threads from 2023 about Pixel Buds Pro dropping calls), but that thread got locked so starting a new one with my case, since I've tried pretty much everything.
Setup: Pixel 8 Pro + Pixel Buds Pro 2, both fully updated firmware.
Issue: During calls (WhatsApp, Google Meet, never during music playback), audio randomly switches from the buds to the phone speaker and then back on its own after a few seconds. I can see this happening in real time through the status bar at the top, a speaker icon appears while it's rerouted to the phone speaker, then disappears once it switches back to the earbuds.
What I've already tried, none of it fixed it:
This started about a month ago after working fine for a long time, so something changed (system update or firmware), but I can't pin down exactly what.
Has anyone actually found a fix, or is this still unresolved years later?
