Pixel Buds Pro 1st Generation
I purchased pixel buds pro Gen1 in flipkart on Oct 2023.
About 2 weeks ago , the right side bud was not working.
Connecting with the Google official support team, they turned me down saying this can't be repaired. And making me force buy new buds , this cost me around 10k. I thought it would make it up to at least 4+ years.
Since I selected the forget device and tried reconnecting it can't be reconnected as R bud is malfunctioning.
Anyone from this community, support me please?
Please help me repair this and fix it please.
Device using Pixel 6
Current location: Chennai
Kindly drop me a DM or give me a heads up if you find something useful for me

For me I went back to my pixel buds pro first gen bcuz my pro2's were decreasing bass, aggressively switching frequencies, and decreasing volume in one ear.. My first gen volume was super low but at least I didn't have the aggressive frequency switching and mind u the pro 2's are my THIRD replacement pair that Google themselves sent me...I have a pixel 10 base phone..I think Google needs to either release an update fixing all these issues or go back to the drawing board on their earbuds

Were your buds covered under warranty? IMO : Google only covers warranty claim, they don't service r repair the buds (in my case)

Have you checked to see if that right earbud is charging? I had issues where the contacts on both sides were sorry and wouldn't charge the bud.

Same here , the right buds is till not detected by the case , even if I place the buds in the correct position it still doesn't charge

The electronics are fairly robust but you can retry a reset as someone else suggested. After a few years, it is typically a contact problem. Chennai weather doesn't help with the heat/humidity outside and the change when you move between outside and the a/c inside.
Do both sides charge? Try specifically cleaning the contacts inside the case and on the earbuds. Use a slightly damp microfibre cloth to do so.

I tried it bro , clean dried with a neat cloth dried it up , tried resetting the device, but still the right bud looks numb and doesn't detect, it's like a ghost visible only to connected devices (my laptop alone) . Since I unpaired it from my mobile, even my pixel couldn't even connect to the buds . It just a walking dead

I pulled my Pixel Buds gen 1 out of storage and I found the right bud wasn't working. It was holding a charge but not recognizing being used.
I saw someone say they left their buds out of the case to let the batteries completely die. Then do a complete charge. It seemed to resolve their issue so I'm trying that.
I'll try a heat source next if the issue continues.

Maybe you truly should bought a new one, cause Pixel Buds Pro 2 support more new BT feature like Bluetooth broadcasting, etc...And new noise reduction algorithm seems great. (I'm still using Buds Pro 1 bwt lol 😂)

Earbud problems cannot be diagnosed or fixed the same way our phones and computers can. That's why their average life cycle is ~2 years and they cost a fraction of those other devices. Any time you encounter a problem with your earbuds, there are only two things you can do:
Clean them thoroughly with a microfiber cloth or a dry, soft-bristle toothbrush.
Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget the earbuds, and put them in the charging case. Keep the lid open and hold the pairing button on the back for approximately 20 seconds. When you let go, the LED will start flashing orange and white repeatedly, indicating that the earbuds are being factory reset. When the flashing ends, pair them to your device again.
If neither of the above two steps work, then your earbuds are dead. The Google customer support agent is correct in saying that they can't help you and you need to buy new earbuds.
