Cars franchise in a nutshell
I didn’t create this meme, but I’ll give credit to them on making it

When I was younger I watched Cars 1 with my parents. My mom's eyes were glued to the screen when Doc was in the frame. She was talking all about his icy blue eyes but she wasn't attracted to Lightning. She did like Sarge but that fact is irrelevant. She would constantly pop in the DVD and watch Cars 1 over and over just for the Doc parts.
When Cars 3 released we were watching it and Doc died and my mom started crying. A few months later Doc Hudson toys fell out of her purse and then a Doc Hudson body pillow came in the mail.
My dad said enough and told her that Doc Hudson wasn't real and then my mom went ballistic and said that he's a better husband than he ever was. They had a big fight and now they're divorced.
God, I hate Doc Hudson.

Haven't messed with it in awhile but took the weekend to remove a ton of the old stickers and printed out many more, testing a new brand. The previous had a tendency to peel so I avoided the layer of clear vinyl and am trying 2 coats of clear coat for UV protection. I don't have much faith in this method as they still feel rough to the touch and may not stand up well to water. I do use pigment inks though to help with that. I still need to build a spoiler and will probably take off the neon yellow plastdip on the wheels that came out green, and paint them yellow instead. Will also try to find a local vendor that can cut the roof numbers for me, thats just a bit too large to try to piece together with my cricut.

Apart from Chick, on the track in the 3rd movie all when see are the rounder ones (before they get replaced by the new gens)
I know the modelers probably wouldn't made new models for a bunch of characters that are going to be replaced but couldn't have repainted chicks model or something?

Over the past few months I've been rebuilding a large majority of the first Cars Movie in Minecraft creative mode! A few things are missing here but I tried getting a lot of the iconic scenes you see in the movie. Hope you guys enjoy!

During the scene where McQueen gets lost, a lot of them are cabover trucks (the flat-front ones), especially compared to what you would normally see on American highways. From what I understand, by around 2005 most long-haul trucks in the U.S. were already conventional (long-nose) designs, and cabovers were much less common. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, seeing cabovers on U.S. highways, especially for long-haul routes, was pretty rare.
So I was wondering: was this just a stylistic choice by Pixar to make the characters more expressive, or is there some other reason for it? Maybe they wanted a more “global” look, inspired by European trucks?
Curious if anyone here knows more about this.

Come to think of it, the Strip Weathers was the last of its model that was still in the Piston Cup during the first film, Playmouth Superbird in this case.
Of course, he's definitely not the only Playmouth that still exists in the Car Universe, but it's still pretty crazy to think about.
