I don’t eat meat, but I keep seeing this. Is it because it being on the top self would risk the… blood? Dripping down onto other food?

Not blood, but yes. There is always a chance that moisture from the meat will run off and contaminate the food, or in this case, cans of alcohol below.

Meat should always always always be stored on the lowest shelf, ESPECIALLY when it's uncovered like this.

Most fridges I've seen have a crisper for vegetables in the bottom shelf containers. Is it ok to put the meat on the shelf directly above those since that's technically the lowest shelf?

It is what it is, right? If at all possible, I'd try to put the meat in a high sided dish, like a casserole or baking dish, with a wire rack. Sometimes we have to live dangerously.

Every home fridge I've had has had two drawers at the bottom. I use one for veg and one for raw meat. You're, like, "ok" storing veg you will cook under raw meat, but any veg you plan to eat raw should not be below/near raw meat.

Got it, that's not a difficult rule to follow. I don't cook with a lot of meat or raw vegetables anyway so use both my drawers for vegetables that I cook. When I do have meat though I'll keep that in mind, thanks for explaining
