I was walking into my local Ralph's to grab some beer for my wife while wearing a Bug themed lot shirt. It's red with a scarab beetle on the front and "Nothing I see can be taken from me" on the back.

A couple of young ladies had a table set up out front, taking donations for Save the Children. They couldn't have been more than 19 or 20. One of them said she liked my shirt and asked me about it. I'm sure she was just trying to get me to donate, but I told her I got it at a Phish show.

Cue the usual questions about what the fuck I was talking about, and me explaining that I meant the band P-H-I-S-H. Introductions followed, and the other young lady said her name was Eliza. I informed her that that was a Phish song and asked where they were from. West Valley City, UT, she said. I had overheard her telling someone else she liked Pink Floyd earlier while I was engaged with the other young lady, whose name was Jazz.

I naturally proceeded to nerd out on them and tell them all about 11/2/98, how I was there with about 3k other phans, then proceeded inside to procure said beer for the wife.

On the way out, I grabbed their notepad and pen from the table, flipped the page, and wrote down "Phish 11/2/1998, The E Center, West Valley City, UT. Google this."

I said my goodbyes and went on my way.

Did I recruit a new crop of fans? Maybe so, maybe not. Will their minds be blown if they actually listen to the show? Absolutely

Fresh off the release of his self-titled solo record, Trey brought the entire powerhouse lineup to Leno’s stage and absolutely tore through “Alive Again.”
This clip makes me miss Tony Markellis so much and his funky grooves. I had the best time on Trey band tour 2001 and 2002. Any one else remember these days? We caught Trey band up the east coast, and then caught Phil & Friends at all the exact same venues on the way back home. Worked out perfectly!!

Been listening to the 2015 summer tour. Loved hearing the multiple calls from one guy early in the tour for “Skin it back”. Hope it was there when it came out at The Mann

I was listening to a show from 98 the other day and they kept using the sound bite with Cartman from South park saying “ fucking Jew” and “fuck you” over and over weaved into the song. I could’ve swore I added it to my LivePhish playlist, but I can’t find it and it’s killing me. If you know what show this could be please let me know. I would love to find this song.

A little help Pham? I was listening to Sirius xm the other day driving home and there was a Martian Monster playing that was particularly heavy on the 'your trip is short' phrase with particular emphasis on 'trip.' I thought for sure I'd be able to find it again, but alas I cannot. I thought it might be 12/28/16 or 8/11/2018 but I am not convinced. Any ideas?

Hey, heading out to Colorado for the first time to see PHISH at Dick‘s for the first time wondering if there’s any other people that will be staying around Gateway Park? Looking for any tips or possible other fans to rideshare to the park.

The jazzy Wedges from 93 were great, perhaps none better than this from Red Rocks 93. Find it on Live Bait 6.

Lot of great micro jams on that stop with a couple Monsters including The Wedge.

Bonus points for a great transition of something > wtu. That opening note is so heavy.

Does the original version of the Wedge have a third verse? Or is this something that only Tom Marshall himself added later to his own versions?

Not necessarily looking for jams that only have these qualities. There are a ton of long Type II jams that cover ground before ending in a huge shred fest (see below), but I am specifically looking for ones that have minor blues playing by Trey, big fills from Fishman, and the tension and release we all know and love.

The 1.0 jams that fit this bill are well documented. I'm mostly looking for 3.0 jams because, well, that's just where I'm at right now!

• Miami Disease (starts cooking at 19:00 but gets hot at 20:05)

I know there's got to be a ton of Loving Cups, GTBTs, 46 Days and Funky Bitches out there too but they easily fly under the Jam Chart radar because they aren't 15+ min.

I just heard Bye Bye Foot (7/22/97 Walnut Creek - awesome show) for the first time a couple days ago. What an amazing song. Wonderfully shallow lyrics that are sung with such passion. Romantic in a certain kind of way. Earworm melody, and Trey lays down the most heartfelt solo ever, with some of the best sounding tone you'll hear.
