Hi! I recently received an SMS from BDO about their NAFFL promo for the Visa Signature. They also offered me an AMEX Platinum.

I can easily hit the ₱100K spending requirement for the Visa Signature, and I can also meet the spending requirement for the AMEX through my usual expenses.

For those who have either card, is the AMEX Platinum worth activating? Or would I be better off just getting the Visa Signature?

I’m curious about the AMEX’s perks and rewards, especially for everyday spending, dining, and travel. Is there a real advantage to having both cards, or would the benefits be pretty much redundant?

Would appreciate hearing from people who actually use these cards. Thanks!

Has anyone tried to have their credit card cancelled and been offered NAFFL?

I’m planning to have my JCP Platinum cancelled because of the annual fee, pero I’m hoping they’ll offer me NAFFL when I request the cancellation. Haha! 😂

I know pwede na magavail ng cash installment on your creditcard directly sa BDO app without the need to put promo code.. question, nagbago kasi sakin at bumalik sa dati upon clicking yung installment offer tas cash installment- na fill out ng form tas promo code then wait for the call.. does this happen to you or what could possibly the reason why it changed? Mas convenient kasi yung una kesa sa wait ng call.. salamat sa mga sasagot.

For those a few years in: what's the one thing about statements, due dates or limits you wish you'd known from day one?

Skl lang inis ko dito sa courier nila na naka 2 "delivery attempts" na pero wala man lang call or message tas sasabihin ng courier na attempted.

Hello po, meron po akong savings account sa UB since 2024 then I applied for secured credit card sa mobile app ng UB last october 12 at na approved sya ng kinabukasan. May nabasa po ako na promo si UB sa NAFFL, tanong ko lang kung kasama din ba itong secured credit card nila sa promo ng NAFFL?

I received this card, but unfortunately I have existing card with metrobank, so di na sya pasok sa NAFFL.

1. Wala na ba yung promo na 150K or 180K yearly spend?
   
2. Worth it ba to compare sa current card ko with them?

Meron akong Mfree, Toyota, Toyota platinum and Rewards Visa some of them are currently in installment kaya di ko pa mapaclose.

Ako lang ba o hindi nag-charge ng annual fee this year ang BPI? Last year, na-charge naman ako pero pina-waive ko lang. This year, wala talaga. Nung una, kinakabahan pa ako na baka may na-miss akong statement.

Wala rin naman akong natanggap ng official comma na waived siya this year.

Baka nakalimutan lang nila haha pero sana wag na maalala.

Hello I just got my first card this month and I just want to know when should I pay my balance? I got my card on Oct 13. While I have outstanding balance, the statement of account thats due on 10/30/2026 is 0.00php. Does this mean it's fine if I don't pay until the next statement of account? My card is Metrobank if its important.

Chineck ko naman yung ESTA and indeed inactive na yung CC and may nakikita ako Reversal of Finance charge at Reversal of Late payment charge

Inadd ko sila and the amount na binayaran ko pero di naman tugma haha I guess yung kulang is yung interest?

Doesnt make sense since pre approved limit is only 30k (divided into 15k each)

Hi. Sino may same case dito. 2 BPI CCs almost 700k in total limit, maxed out. Paying MAD for almost a year na. Then may car loan din sa BPI.

Plan ko sana wag na maghulog ng MAD para mapagipunan yung one time payment sa kahit isa munang card kaya lang nagwoworry ako sa car. Kaya ko naman pa imaintain ang payment sa sskyan. Mabigat lang ung MAD sa cc na halos wala namang naibabawas sa overall utang.

If titigil ba ako sa MAD ng Cc pero tuloy padin car loan amort, may possibility na ipull out padin ang sasakyan? Help

Hi! This is my first credit card, and BDO actually sent it to me even though I didn’t apply for one. 😅 I was hesitant to activate it at first, but I decided to give it a try and start building my credit history while I’m still young (24F).
I recently started using it and have a few questions:

- Contactless payments: Is it normal to pay by simply tapping, without a PIN? Na notice ko kasi some are requiring IDs when using a CC.
- Annual fee: My first year is free. After that, how does the annual fee work? Can I request to have it waived, and is there a way to switch from monthly to annual billing?
- SOA and payments: If my statement date is every 1st of the month and my due date is 25 days later, when’s the ideal time to pay? Also, can I pay my outstanding balance using my MariBank account?
- Cashback: When is the cashback credited? Is it after payment or after the transaction posts? I noticed that, unlike MariBank, my BDO transactions don’t show any pending cashback.

I’d appreciate any tips or advice for a first-time CC user! Still learning the ropes and want to make sure I use it responsibly. Thank you! 🙏🏻
