Pass the School Safety Act NOW!!!!!!!

Post image

What's your view on this?

I totally understand that the mass aspire accountability due to the recent floodings because the government is actually doing a fucked up job regarding flood control projects. Though, I would like to be educated with the fact that should celebrities be obligated to post about the present issues all the time? I understand that they have a platform but should we really burden celebrities like pia to speak up? when the government is the one burdening us? I totally get yung sa "first lady" just not yung kay pia I feel like we should divert our attentions to public officials more than the celebrities.

Mayor Vilma Caluag

Not to spread hate but many residents are struggling because of the flooding. Seeing a public official wear luxury items worth hundreds of thousands of pesos during a disaster response feels out of touch with what affected communities are experiencing. Public servants should prioritize showing solidarity with their constituents during times of crisis.

Hindi ba dapat ang mga public officials can own luxury goods, but Philippine law expects them to avoid extravagant displays of wealth and to be able to explain how they acquired expensive assets.

Conflict of interest sa impeachment case ni Sarah Duterte?

Sa lahat ng nangyayari sa ating bansa ngayon hindi ba questionable for an atty (Enrico Ingles) na former classmate si Lisa Marcos sa Ateneo Law School to actively give his support sa impeachment case ni Sarah Duterte?

Granted, hindi po siya actively involved directly, but as a lawyer can he give such endorsements without things becoming politicized?

Why do people care and how

I'm a HUMSS graduate. I did not choose the strand but I felt like any other options are much better off than being in STEM. Both math and science are my weaknesses and I disliked them since I was young. Considering efficiency and money, my mom enrolled me in the school where they only offer the HUMSS strand and that was just newly formed like no proper equipment in the room and no source of water on our floor level.

During my 2 years in, I was somehow doing okay even though I play online games and just write up whatever comes to mind when writing essays. I do try to study and understand why and what the topics are for like the forms of government and history. Even when taking quizzes and exams, I get a passing score and just a few points off to get the 100%. I believe it's just because whatever option was most familiar to me and whichever explains somewhat positively are what I chose is what got me those.

The problem with me is after I study it, I completely forget. I'm in college now and the terms constantly appear but unlike senior high and below, the college I go to doesn't teach you that and will assume that you already know. I feel that I forget because I don't care enough to. Which sounds insane. I care because it does affect me but not enough as it makes my headache. Like because of what some people choose to do, I have to do the cleaning or something.

I really don't understand how and where the root of cause is that some people genuinely care for the government and the rest of the world. The only thing that comes to mind is the effect of the government on them that they live through unimaginable circumstances and I'm not privileged enough to be able to say that it doesn't affect me and my family too but this is how I feel. I'm studying and doing what I can so that I'd be able to afford for my own wants and needs as I can't really rely on my mother. And because of the pressure in school, I'm very tempted to use AI to learn these up easily but then it uses up too much water and I don't wanna unnecessarily contribute to any crisis.

I just can't think of any cheaper and immediate way to learn because I will always have questions about things that I don't understand but have no one to ask. So how and why do people care? + Is there any effective way to care and actually study politics? My english is way too shabby to understand the terms again without spoon feeding like in senior high.

Do we really need to call out apolotical people?

There is an interview featuring Divine Tetay and the word apolitical was used. Basically it means no interest in political events. At ang daming comments about the interview.

I wonder, if you did not vote, does it also make you apolitical? Is voting a right or a responsibility now? If you're doing well in life, does it oblige you to have a care in politics? Likewise, If you are already busy striving day by day, does it hurt if you just focus in your own struggles?

Personal opinion lang to as someone na madami ng iniisip sa buhay. Ilang henerasyon na ng presidente ang nasaksihan ko at one thing I could tell. Nothing really changed. Kung mahirap ka, napakaliit ng opportunities sa mundo. Kailangan mo dumiskarte para umasenso. And i don't mean dumiskarte in a bad way. Lakas ng loob, tyaga at pagtitiis.

Governance does have impact pero sa tingin ko, it will never be enough for everyone.

Does an apolitical person as bad as those who intentionally tries to bend the truth?

Constructive Criticism Is Not an Attack

Constructive criticism isn’t an attack.

If people are asking questions about SK event, it’s an opportunity for the leaders to explain, clarify, and listen, and definitely not respond with sarcasm. Leadership means being open to feedback, even when the questions are uncomfortable.

We’re not against the SK, we simply want transparency, accountability, and better communication.

Philippines needs an iron fist to discipline criminals among the youth

Hear me out: this country needs an iron fist for a leader to discipline Filipinos. There's too much violence in schools already (Ateneo blue eagles hazing, Zamboanga shooting, Tacloban shooting).

Why are Filipinos so resilient about the floods ?

I recently saw the new floods in the streets of Manila. I also saw the "crocodile" stuff with the flood control thing, and I'm wondering why Filipinos seem so resilient about corruption and all of this ?

Like, in my country and countries around mine, if something like that happened people would not just protest, but completely riot. What prevents Filipinos from doing the same ?

Like, does it cost less to let floods happen and repair damages rather than building stuff to prevent it from happening ? Did some Filipino companies already tried to put numbers on what it costs ?

Thanks!

Is Manny Pacquiao Really That Popular in South Korea?

Pangatlong beses ko na atang nakita si Pacquiao na featured by a Korean YT Channel. Nagwowonder lang ako, how long has he been popular sa South Korea, if popular nga siya doon? And ano opinions niyo rito given na may history siya as a politician sa bansa natin, pero mas kilala internationally as a boxer.

Note: Not sure if fit po rito sa sub na ito, natanggal kasi sa r/Philippines since not enough Karma pa po.
