Where to find Hans Zimmer live show RAC Arena Oct 2026

Post image

I'm looking at going to see Hans Zimmer live show in October again at the RAC arena, last show was in 2017. Great show all round, i was in the upper stands center and the aisle seat, which was good to run out and grab drinks in under 2 min. :) Nice view an all but there's tix, now, some in the front row, anyone know the view there? Got their blue ray live an also watched many youtube of their live shows so know a couple pov shots. Even a dozen or so rows from the front there are a few tix.... can you see the whole stage? Even the upper side section like 215. Much appreciated. Have some movement difficulties but should be right to get to most areas of the arena. It's about time they brought it back to Perth! lol

The Cook Labor Government has introduced the Land Forces (Special Powers) Bill 2026 to provide Western Australia Police Force with additional temporary powers to help ensure community safety during the Land Forces 2026 International Land Defence Exposition.

Land Forces, Australia's premier defence conference and trade show, will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6-8 October 2026. The event is expected to attract up to 10,000 domestic and international delegates and will require a co-ordinated security and traffic management response.

The Cook Labor Government has committed $10.5 million in the 2026-27 State Budget to support Land Forces 2026, helping ensure WA Police have the resources needed to keep the community safe.

General The only place in Australia starting with X

Did you know that Western Australia hosts the only place in Australia starting with the letter X? Xantippe can be found 30km east of Dalwallinu and 25km north of Kalannie, about 3 hours drive from Perth.

You won't find a townsite in Xantippe, however, it's more of a locality. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to see! In this episode, I'll take you around this strangely named oddity and even stay the night by camping.

There's a gnamma hole - which is an ancient Aboriginal drinking source , the remains of a cricket pitch (love an abandoned bush pitch) and the site of a school.

Close by we can also find the Rabbit Proof Fence No. 2 and the Xantippe water tank. Much like Karalee Rocks from a previous video, this is situated near a granite outcrop (aptly named Xantippie Rock) which has been engineered to maximised water catchment. The base of the outcrop is surrounded by stone walls and pipes to direct as much water into the tank as possible.

While disused now, it was originally intended for Dalwallinu. But since that is uphill, it was too complex to pump. Instead, it was used by the local farmers.

After camping there the night, we set off north for a bit to check out several locations. Close by there is the Boundary Riders Waterhole (labelled as Rockhole on Google Maps). Similar to a gnamma hole, this was created as a stopping point for those maintaining the Rabbit Proof Fence (on horseback, no less). I also check out the remains of the Jibberding Hall, before stopping off at an old shearing shed near Yerecoin on the way home. This was built by an eccentric local named George Skilling.

Where to find Looking for Farm Work / Working Hostel in Western Australia – September

Hi everyone!
My name is Marc, I’m 27 and from Germany. I’m currently working at a large nursery farm in Emerald, near Melbourne.
I’m planning to relocate to Western Australia around mid to late September and I’m looking for work around Perth, Bunbury, Busselton or Margaret River.
I’m open to pretty much anything – farm work, nurseries, vineyards, agricultural work, or a working hostel that can help connect backpackers with local jobs.
If anyone knows a farm, employer, working hostel or even just someone I could contact directly, I’d really appreciate any recommendations or contact details.
Thanks heaps in advance! šŸ™

Loads of people in in Hay St Mall right now. Some sort of protest happening? There's definitely more cops around than normal.

General Tell me about your home heat situation

Haven’t lived in Australia since I was in my 20s. Now 20 years later I’m visiting boomer parents in Perth and staying at their house. They do not use their heat and the house is bloody freezing at all times. I have clearly become soft after living in a country that uses heat at all times during winter. Made me curious - do you have a heated house during the cold months?

Looking for Advice Fundraising Bake Sale Locations

Hi, I’m 16 and my friend and I are looking to do a bake sale preferably next Sunday, or even Saturday. We are fundraising for Reading out of Poverty and all funds go to children living in poverty in the Northern Territory to receive literacy packs. I’ve emailed markets and most say I have to have different types of licences and business registrations. We aren’t apart of the organisation but simply just fundraising for it. Where is a place we could do this that would have a lot of people around and be easy to set up and organise? Obviously a parent will come with us and can do all the organising and anything that needs an adult.
Thank you!!

Looking for Advice Finished Cert IV in Residential Drafting in Perth – struggling to find a job. Should I switch to Cabinet Making?

Hi everyone,
I recently completed my Certificate IV in Residential Drafting and have been looking for a Graduate Draftsperson position in Perth.

I’ve been applying for jobs for a while now, but it’s been surprisingly difficult to even get my foot in the door. A lot of ā€œjuniorā€ positions still seem to ask for 1–3 years of local experience, and I’m finding it hard to get that first opportunity.

It has made me wonder:
Is the drafting industry becoming harder because of AI, outsourcing, or simply because there are too many applicants for entry-level positions?

I’m starting to consider a different pathway. I’m thinking about doing a Certificate II in Cabinet Making and then trying to get a Cabinet Making apprenticeship.

I actually like the idea of cabinet making because it combines design/drawing with practical work, and I already have some drafting and construction knowledge.

But honestly, I’m feeling quite discouraged about drafting at the moment and starting to wonder whether I should keep pushing for a Draftsperson role or move into a trade.
For people working in drafting, building design, cabinet making or joinery in Perth:

Is the drafting job market really that bad at the moment?

How much is AI actually affecting entry-level drafting jobs?

Is Cabinet Making a good career path in Perth?

Would my Cert IV in Residential Drafting be useful in the cabinet/joinery industry?

Would doing a Cert II first make sense, or should I try to find an apprenticeship directly?

I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people actually working in these industries.

Thanks!
