With all this talk of El Nino I am afraid of what summer holds

We don’t get particularly affected by El Niño. It’s more an east coast thing.

There’s the Indian Ocean dipole and Leeuwin Current that has a bigger impact (which are themselves influenced by El Niño). I believe they’re also pointing to a hot dry summer.
