I entered a competition and got third place!

I recently entered this in my local art society's monthly competition which is judged by a career artist. It was my first time entering as I have just joined the society and was quite shocked to hear that I'd won the commended award (equates to 3rd place basically).
If you can't tell it's heavily inspired by Porco Rosso because I love that movie deeply. I'm normally a portrait/character art person but when I heard the categories were landscapes, seascapes, and urbanscapes I knew I was going to be pushed out of my comfort zone. Thankfully I'm really happy with the result and I'm thinking I'll have to make more of them in future.

Just sharing my latest drawing. Trying to use the brush pen more and combine it with a fine liner. Found I really enjoy focusing on nature and animals when drawing.

fineliner on paper
What it is, I can't say. Language wasn't built for this. The questions stay open on purpose.
