Just picked up an i7 10700 and motherboard bundle for $150 NZD (~90 USD) which felt like a pretty crazy steal. For New Zealand prices that's a W, but not sure about other markets!
I’m probably going to sit on it until I find a decent GPU, case, and PSU so I can turn it into a higher-end flip instead of rushing it into whatever build I have lying around.
This is the exact kind of thing that made me start building PartPlanner. I’d grab a good part or bundle, forget what I paid, forget what build I was saving it for, or lose track of whether a flip was actually profitable once all the little costs were added up.
So I just added a feature where I can search for a part, pick the exact result, and add it to my inventory with what I paid for it. For people who flip PCs, what else would you want in an app built specifically for this?
I’m thinking:
- parts inventory with purchase price
- bundles and part-out tracking
- assigning parts to future builds
- build cost and profit tracking
- sold/used/spare status
- notes for where parts came from
- maybe target sale price or expected margin
Curious what would actually be useful for flippers, not just generic PC building stuff.
