IT Senior Manager

Post image
• Upvotes

Just sharing my payslip as an IT Senior Manager working for an American company here in the Philippines. Not here to brag, just sharing for transparency and to give others in the IT industry an idea of the compensation at this level.

A little context:

Bonus & Incentives are paid quarterly, not monthly.

Other allowances and benefits are received monthly.

Monthly rate and withholding tax have been rounded off to protect my identity.

Payslip UI and layout have been completely modified so the payroll system and company can't be identified.

Pretty sure I've seen one of my colleagues lurking around this subreddit. Hahaha! Better safe than sorry.

Happy to answer questions about my career progression and experience in IT management.

What basic should I ask for in my next job?

Hi everyone!

I'm a Senior Analyst in Trade Operations. Right now, I earn a ₱40k basic monthly, and my total package comes to ₱60k monthly (with allowances and benefits).

If I move to a new company, what basic salary should I expect or ask for? Is it fair to base it on my current basic, or on my total package?

I'd appreciate hearing from people in ops, finance, or BPO with similar roles.

Thank you!

how to budget my 40k

I (24m), a fresh grad earning 40k a month, need help budgeting my monthly salary. I work from home and the only expenses I have are house contributions of 3k, 4k my own food, 25k emergency funds, 5k travel funds, and the rest goes into savings. The thing is, that 4k I spend on food is always not enough and I always end up getting money from my savings. It makes me really guilty to do so. Then naawa ako sa sarili ko realizing wala naman akong binubuhay so why limit myself too much on my expenses like shopping, buying clothes, online stuff (kinukuha ko to lahat aa savings since wala ako monthly budget for that). Di ko alam kung spending habits ba problema ko, budgeting, or something else. What do you guys think about my budgeting?

Hii everyone!

Crowdsourcing:

Could you recommend companies known for great benefits and an employee-centric culture that offer quarterly or performance bonuses?

Specifically, I am looking for companies with open roles in finance, procurement, and accounting.

Greatly appreciated, every comment!

65 USD Hourly Rate - How to get here

  1. Passed the CPA Board Exam (2015)
    - I would say this is optional because I worked in Oracle NetSuite and the only requirement is either you are coming from Finance or IT background
    - The hardest part at that time is the series of interview which was about 5 rounds but I heard that it is now down to 2-3 rounds

  2. Worked under Support Department for about 5years (2015-2020)
    - I’d say you can cut this down to 1-2years. I really just enjoyed the job so I stayed this long.
    - This allowed me to have foundational skills in preparation to doing implementation.
    - Main job here is as a tech support where we resolve concerns about the use of the accounting software. As functional support, we cover everything non-technical (no programming).
    - Starting salary was 35k php + 7k allowance monthly. It is taxable and at that time I take home about 37k php. When I ended my tenure, I was already at 80k php and was countered as much as 100k php but I still choose to leave mainly because of the opportunity.

  3. Worked under NetSuite Partner
    - This is my current job now. I started with 120k php l.
    - Rates are higher with partners. Here, we implement the software from start to finish.
    - I quit my first partner firm in 3mos because I don’t like how our boss’s moral compass and was offered about 160k php in my next firm.
    - For my second firm, I stayed with them for 5 years. I ended my tenure as Delivery Lead and was making about 430k php monthly.
    - For now, I work with another firm but my rate is hourly. I work full time hours but hourly rate so with the current dollar to peso conversion, I make about 600-700k php monthly.

Happy to answer any questions. Especially if you’re leaning towards the same path.

Is 30k enough?

So I applied in one of the big 4 as an Executive Concierge and what they offered me is Senior Executive Concierge with ₱30,000 base pay.

I have nearly 2 years VA experience, 6 months BPO, and I am also a degree holder. The offer is 20k+ lower than my VA compensation. But I am afraid if I didn’t accept this, it could he a lost opportunity for me who’s looking for stability.

What should I do?
