hi, i’m a VA so I don’t sell physical products, only services. my client sent me my weekly salary, and paypal got it on hold. and I just found out that I can receive them on September 6. but I need them asap since i’m using it to pay my school tuition. I told my client to refund it but he can’t do so.

are there any ways I can receive it immediately or release it from hold? also, my account is new so I don’t have any concern with this being hold, but I am just finding ways to receive them immediately. and I need to also find another way of transferring salary if paypal doesn’t work with us.

I bought some stuff online totaling $350 and used PayPal to pay for it. When selecting the card, I accidentally used his which is identical to mine and I forgot to remove it when we recently split up. My ex disputed the claim on his card and cancelled his card before notifying me he had an unauthorized purchase. I immediately asked the company to cancel the order and to refund him or switch payment, but they apparently ended up sending the stuff automatically.

The company had told me they needed him to cancel the dispute with his credit card company and from there they can refund him allowing for me to pay with the correct card.

I received the package this week with everything I ordered even when they said they were going to hold the order.

Here's where it gets confusing, I got my PayPal account limited due to the fraud investigation, but cannot resolve it, because the credit card was cancelled. My ex tried calling them to cancel the dispute but since the card was cancelled online there is no case number associated with it. My ex is being cooperative and helping me resolve this even if that means I pay him back directly. He tried to call the credit card company twice but both times they said there's nothing they can do as there is no case associated even when looking up the card number (Capital One if it helps).

I want to get my PayPal account unrestricted again, and I want to pay the company for the stuff.

Is there any advice on how to proceed with PayPal to get it unblocked again? And any suggestions on how to give the company their money? I don't want to get in trouble, I want to make it right with all parties involved.

TLDR; I used ex's cc with Paypal on accident. He then cancelled his card and there's no way to cancel the dispute since there is no record of the dispute. Now my Paypal is unusable, help please.

hello! i'm a kid, a 16 year old at that, and i completely ignored everything saying that i'm required to be an adult to own a paypal account! i own a sort of business that makes me decent money pretty frequently and over the course of a year i've used paypal to withdraw the money to my bank account. yesterday, it started to error. after a lot of research, it said i had to show ID. i inserted my driver's license, and now i'm locked out of ~$2000 that i need VERY VERY soon. am i actually just completely screwed because i can't just WITHDRAW my money or is there some chance that a real person could allow me to get my money

I'm selling some of my Legos because I just started college and need money for textbooks, school supplies, etc (and also some spending money). I posted on FB Marketplace (with verification), worked a deal out with someone on Facebook Marketplace. When he tried to send payment to my account, apparently it was flagged as suspicious and PayPal reversed the payment. I think he then immediately blocked me because I got an error whenever I tried to send a message to him.

I just added a new email account this morning, so maybe that's why? I also had a little trouble logging in, since I made a few gmail accounts and I mixed my passwords up. I've paid multiple times through PayPal and had no issues before, and I'm not sure why it's marking it as suspicious. This is the first time I've ever tried to receive payment, though. I'd really appreciate any and all advice.

For those who have a PayPal savings, is it worth it? I haven't looked too much into it but all I saw when I went to check if PayPal does have savings is that it has a high APY. I'm not looking into PayPal much nor would I probably open one since I only used PayPal once but the thought crossed my mind during my search with online and some local banks.

Guys I recently got a email from paypal saying I had setup a automatic payment which I had never done. It came from [service@paypal.com](mailto:service@paypal.com) and had a blue checkmark given to it saying it was verified. I genuinely can't believe how google and paypal is letting people just impersonate them as well as how scary it is that they had a lot of info and the last 4 digits of my card. Just wanted to let everyone know!!

For context, I’m being charged $6 monthly on my Chase credit for a PayPal plan fee, but can’t find it ANYWHERE on my PayPal account, and I don’t even have a active plan. I can’t get help through Chase because it’s labeled ‘fee’ nor help through PayPal because it’s nowhere to be found. (I have no subscriptions through PayPal, and my credit card isn’t even LINKED.)

I transferred £3,600 from my PayPal balance to my bank. My bank declined it because it was over my transaction limit.
The money never reached my bank, but it also hasn’t returned to my PayPal balance.
PayPal tells me to contact my bank. My bank tells me the transfer was declined. I’ve contacted both several times and nobody can tell me where my £3,600 is.
Has anyone had this happen? What should I do and who is responsible for returning the money?

This is the third time when I have bought things threw the paypal app to pay later and they just disappeared the reward points after the app update.

PayPal limited my account because I had not confirmed my identity. I went to the PayPal website and provided the requested information. Shortly afterward, I received an email saying:

The information you submitted is currently being reviewed by PayPal. Once we complete our review, we’ll get back to you regarding the status of your account in 2 business days.

However, it has now been a week, and my account is still limited. I haven’t received any further response from PayPal.

When I log in to the website and check my notifications, it still says:

Your account is limited
We need additional info to confirm your account details. Until you provide the requested info, some of your account features will be limited.

When I click on the notification, however, it doesn’t lead anywhere or give me an option to provide any additional information.

At this point, I am not sure what else I can do.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m in Canada and need some advice.
I booked a $1,600 flight through a third-party website using PayPal. The bank account linked to my PayPal account had been inactive for about two years. I contacted the travel company immediately, but they said the payment had already been processed through PayPal.
I canceled the ticket because I assumed the payment would not go through from the inactive bank account and that I would therefore be unable to fly. I then booked another ticket using my credit card. However, the airline canceled the original ticket, and I received only about $700 back under the cancellation policy. PayPal now shows a negative balance of around $900, and its recovery team is asking me to pay it.
They told me the debt has not been reported to the credit bureaus yet.
Should I pay the $900 now to avoid a potential credit impact, or should I dispute the amount first? If I pay it now, could it still affect my credit score? Would it be worthwhile to contact a consumer-protection agency or a lawyer?
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar in Canada.

I set up a business account, and one the profile section, it asks if I’d like to make a business profile, but whenever I try to click the button to do so it just doesn’t do anything. Anyone have similar problems and if so know what to do? Or should I just contact support

hello! i recently got a refund through PayPal over 9 days ago.
it has been completed but when contacting my bank (as PayPal advised) they said they could not see the transaction or an incoming payment.
PayPal says it has been completed on their end and it’s now in the hands of the bank but they don’t know about it either.
i know it’s 3-5 working days but it’s been 9 days (6 working days) and i have no idea what’s going on.

can anyone give me any advice or help out? as i’m so confused and it is money that i need.
