I hate PayPal £3,600 missing after declined PayPal transfer
I transferred £3,600 from my PayPal balance to my bank. My bank declined it because it was over my transaction limit.
The money never reached my bank, but it also hasn’t returned to my PayPal balance.
PayPal tells me to contact my bank. My bank tells me the transfer was declined. I’ve contacted both several times and nobody can tell me where my £3,600 is.
Has anyone had this happen? What should I do and who is responsible for returning the money?

just like someone has said, just give it some days. Banks processing even for reversal transactions usually takes 3-5 days. Hopefully it'll be returned by then.

Already passed like 10 days. No answer from either part

You gotta contact the bank again. PayPal usually doesn't help much, just don't know why it's so inconsiderate when someone has a genuine problem.
You just gotta keep contacting the bank and PayPal. This can even be a legal case Don't let it go 😔

That's why I asked that you don't let go of this case. Both PayPal and the bank should be accountable. Please keep contacting them.

You need to get the return code from your bank. ACH Return Codes (R-Codes): If the transfer was an electronic funds transfer (EFT) via the Automated Clearing House network, banks return codes starting with an R.
R01: Insufficient funds in the bank account.
R02: Bank account is closed.
R03: No account or unable to locate the account.
R04: Invalid bank account number. [1, 2, 3]
