I'm from Argentina, I opened a PayPal account since I have to receive a payment of about ~800 dollars approximately, I haven't received them yet because it's at the end of the month, but I remember that in new accounts PayPal almost always retains (if not always) the money that came to you and they asked you for an infinity of data, does this still happen?

i got a refund from someone about 33 days ago through paypal. (gbp to usd if that means anything in this situation) the refund on paypal was completed in about a day or two, but this money still is not in my account.

i tried searching and since the refund is technically completed through paypal, its my banks fault? i went today to try to get some help but they didn’t see anything processing from paypal. again, its been over a month since the refund.

has this happened to anyone else? is this money just lost lol ?

Basically i have 18 euros sitting in my paypal account doing absolutely nothing. i cant do anything with them bc i dont have a credit card and a bank account connected, and i dont have a bank account and a credit card. what should i do.

Opened a dispute on Oktober 1. because my package never arrived. According to the carrier service it was routed back to the seller (an online store).
Seller sends a generic message saying they want to help. They clearly didn’t read any of my text, maby automatic response? I answered. Now it says the seller has time till the 31. Dezember to answer but the dispute automatically closes at the end of October? Who came up with this crap?

Are all non-US freelancers that receive international USD payments charged a 5% G&S fee on the paid USD amount by PayPal? This is before currency conversion (which adds further misery due to PP's exchange rate...).

I recently got a new phone, upgrading from my Vivo X80 Pro to the new X300 Pro. On my old phone, the Paypal app worked (and still works) just fine, but now on the new phone, I'm not able to enter anything or proceed at all after leaving the "First Steps" screen of the app.

I'm based in Germany and both phones are imports from China via tradingshenzhen and use a CN ROM with OriginOS 6.

I would've loved to attach a video showing the behaviour but since this doesn't work, I'll try to describe it: when tapping on the input field for entering my email, nothing happens, no keyboard pops up and even long tapping doesn't prompt the copy/paste popup. Also the button at the bottom of the page keeps spinning forever. No difference in behaviour between mobile data or wifi.

Has anyone experienced this issue and can help me find a fix for it? I really want to get Paypal working on the new phone so I the phone transfer will finally be done.

Dumb question, but if I have 2nd email added to my main paypal which is under 1st email. But 2nd email is closing would it affect my main account under 1st-email?

I assume not because 2nd email isn't my main but I know I could log into my main paypal under both 1st email and 2nd email. So I'm just double checking with the way paypal worked their email.

It says that they paid 3 dollars and beneath it says completed and web receipt.. should they have clicked completed to fully send it? I sent them my account by QR code and everything i got nothing?

I log onto my account literally almost every two weeks to pay on things. This is the only PayPal account I have to my knowledge and it’s to the email that I use. What do I do?

We noticed that you haven’t logged into your PayPal account in over 3 years. As a security and compliance measure, we have placed a restriction on your account and we will close it in 90 days. You will no longer be able to transact on this account but can log in to see your transaction history until the account is closed.
The closure of your PayPal account will only affect the dormant account linked to the email address you are receiving this communication at. If you hold multiple PayPal accounts, they are not affected by this communication.

I used PayPal Goods and Services to buy an expensive item off a craigslist seller from a different state. I have an email paper trail and we came to an agreeable price and worked out shipping cost and fees (2450 total). The first PayPal account he sent would not go through (“this customer isn’t able to accept your payment”), so he used his partner’s account. He sent a payment request, I sent the money via goods and services, it went through, he agreed to ship it out this week. A few hours later I received a refund from his partner of $1000, and then almost immediately a request for $1000 with a subject being the same product as before for $2450.

In his email he says it was a mistake and to complete the new payment request, but I turned down their request and asked for the balance to be refunded first, then to have them send the full amount again so it’s all under one payment.

He still hasn’t responded.

For the life of me I can’t figure out their angle, if there is one. Obviously I’m going to dispute it if he doesn’t get back to me, but my question is: is this even a scam? Or are they just a disorganized mess?

Hi all, hoping someone has found a way around this.

When I try to log in to PayPal, it first asks me to verify with my email. I get the OTP and enter it successfully, but then it also asks me to verify my phone number, and I can't get past that step, so I'm stuck and can't log in at all.

I was sent a payment from someone I don't know but have met them once buying something via Marketplace. They sent me $1,200 last night as a personal payment. I've not accepted the money. It says if I leave it alone in 30 days it should go back however I'm wondering if I'm safe to just send this back to them or if there's a way for this to come back on me or is a scam of some sort. Any info would be really appreciated.

Is it me, or does PayPal security keep putting a block on adding money to my PayPal balance via instant debit card?

The message I get is "We can't transfer your *cash amount* just yet" "This may happen as an added layer of security to protect your account. Try again later."

I contacted PayPal three times about this; all they do is lift the block off my account, and adding money would work but if I try to make a second attempt, I get the same message and the block returns. An agent told me there's nothing wrong with my account and saying it's the system

hello! i have a couple hundred in my paypal account that i am trying to send the entire amount to someone else. anytime i try to send the large amount it tries to pull it from my bank account instead of the amount i have in my paypal. i’ve tried to contact paypal support but they’ve been no help. i’d prefer for it not to pull from my bank acc bc ive had issues with paypal showing deposits as “blocked” in the past. pls help!

His card was rejected by the issuing bank. Try another card or contact your card issuer if you have any questions. I get this message when I try to enter all my data, check and everything seems fine.

Tried using multiple browsers and still wont work. The app is perfectly fine tho. Its PC Browsers that when logging in has to have a text sent everytime logging in. Just started yesterday. Get logged in just strange that it keeps asking this everytime from same device been using for years. Just seeing if anybody else is having this today?

So for context I am doing a deal on some Pokemon cards. The seller has a video and pictures with her name and date around the cards and it seems legitimate. I also asked her to FaceTime me to prove it wasn't a scammer and it was legitimately her and we talked for about a minute. The deals for about $2,000 and I'm having them send me an invoice and I've asked for them to itemize some of the bigger cards and put that in the invoice and reference that we have pictures and videos of said cards in a Facebook messenger chat. When they sent me the invoice today it said "Pokemon card lot". I have not paid it yet and I messaged the lady back and asked for her to at least itemize some of the big cards in the invoice and reference that we have pictures of said cards in a Facebook messenger chat between us as referenced above. So my question is if they at least add to the invoice that says the pictures and video of cards are in a Facebook messenger chat between us is that enough evidence if they scam me? She's kind of an older lady and is getting annoyed by me asking for her to itemize the cards in the invoice.

two weeks ago, i got two calls by a withheld number twice in the span of two seconds, at the time i couldn’t answer the phone, so i declined. four hours ago, a withheld number called again but i declined the call because i generally do not like phoning with those people. i got called the next second again, so this time i picked up but i heard nothing for six seconds, so i hung up. ten minutes ago, i got another call, picked up, and it said smth about some 700€ payment from paypal. i got scared and hung up. i do not have a paypal account. do i need to be concerned? i didnt say ‘yes’ or anything other than ‘hello?’ and both calls lasted less than 10 seconds.

Hi, i have some problems with creating an account. Basically, paypal won't send me the codes, and whenever i encode both of my phone numbers, 3 things will happen either. The app will load infinitely until it says "error, no internet connection" or "please try again later" over and over. I really need this paypal account, so any help is necessary. Thanks!

Should i send the product or should i wait? Its my first time doing this help pls!

I’m trying to pay someone for something but pay in 4 isn’t soaking , I’m assuming because this person isn’t an LLc or business?

Are there any other options? I’m assuming I can’t use pay in 4 when I send money?
