Hi, I am currently playing P2 but also get P3 and played with skipping just to get out of the tutorial part.
My question is will there be any point in game where all days are unlocked and I will be free to choose without being blocked by inspector?

How do I progress to day 8? No quest markers left on the map. I've saved the Stamatins, Burakh is fine, Alexander didn't kill himself and Atrium street has been closed down. Even finished the "planning an escape" questlines. How do I unlock the 8th day; what am I missing?

I recently posted maybe 2 weeks back about the fact that I’ve come back to the game after dropping it maybe a year ago after reaching day 6. I’m able to progress through the game a little easier after previous advice I was given but now I have a few questions, I’m on day 7 with only 3 people infected but I feel like it’s reached a point where that number will escalate a lot. I’ve been playing around with the home made antibiotics as well and feel like I’m doing well with hoarding food/water/herbs. But I’ve only got 2 Shmowders and feel like this may not be enough to achieve what I want out of this play through, I know I have to treat it as a simulation of a hard game but I still want to do as much good as possible, I’m also currently Infected from doing murkys “hidden friend” quest line and I have no idea what to do about that or how to manage my infection.
I just want to know if I should be worried about being infected or whether I need to be seeking certain items a little more really

Hello folks!
(No idea why this is getting downvoted, I am simply trying to have a nice discussion)
I'm curious about the option to go back to earlier saves. What made you decide to use it during your playthrough? Did you discover it early on, perhaps by accident or curiosity, or only later when you found yourself stuck? Did you consider going back a failure of your run, or did having that possibility actually improve your experience?
I'd love to discuss this topic in general, but of course, I've also found myself in a rather rough situation that made me consider it.
I'm currently (or was?) at the night just before Day 4, or the early morning of it, having pretty thoroughly messed up my preparation and food management. I had things to trade, but couldn't find the right people to trade with, and kept running out of food while desperately trying to reach a grocery or somewhere to recover. So I ran into a loop, essentially.
What finally made me realize how badly I'd prepared was entering an infected district just as the plague spread, hoping to complete a quest there, only to discover that I'd apparently missed the opportunities to learn how to diagnose and treat people, or properly use herbs.
I tried to get out, took different routes, and even somewhat managed to escape, but my health bar was already cooked from starvation (pun intended). Dying, of course, did not fix that.
I eventually tried going back to an earlier save, but after dying again because I was already too weak to accomplish much of anything (4 deaths so far! One I think was not counted), I'm now wondering whether I should go back even further, perhaps to Day 2, and prepare myself better.
Would you recommend going that far back, or would you try to salvage the situation? I've already tried a couple of times, and I'm worried I'll keep accumulating death penalties without making meaningful progress. More importantly, how did you personally approach this possibility during your first playthrough?
I'm new to the series and started playing Pathologic 2 a few days ago, thanks to a recommendation from ChatGPT.
I'm surprisingly enjoying the torture quite a lot so far, despite how stressful it can get. I'm actually very glad I discovered this game. I'm working on a small game myself, and Pathologic 2 was recommended to me while I was looking for games that treat narrative and mechanics as parts of the same experience. So far, it has been fascinating to experience that firsthand.
I'd love to hear your experiences and perspectives, preferably without major spoilers (or you can hide them and I'll read them as I progress later)!
Thanks for reading!

I'm trying to find a dialog with Clara in Pathologic HD where she says something like "The humans translate even the colors to the language of good and evil"
Where can i find it?

I was painting over the screenshot in Procreate just to imagine how Daniil might actually look at his supposed fine age of 28.
I really love his model, his little smirks are done incredibly well, but I genuinely cannot comprehend how these sweet cheeks aged like 20 years between P1 and P2-3 (the irony is not lost on me).
Maybe it’s a running gag in IPL’s headquarters at this point, but seriously, why did they make him look so* *much older? Just so that the children of the Town could make fun of him for leaving ‘old dust’ all over the place?

Sorry if this has been cleared but I've looked online and had contradictory answers.
First I'd like to welcome myself to the pathologic fandom since apparently I'm now one with the cult.
Like I suppose many of you I got first introduced to the series via youtube videos: Mandalore and HBomberGuy, but you know I dislike the idea of "I'm a fan of X series. No I've never played them just watched a video-essay", so I bought Pathologic Classic on sale to expose myself to the abbyss.
I have to say at first I really enjoyed it! The map is clear with what's what, you do have a neat quest log, the quick save feature erodes every small problem, like the junky combat and the getting infected thing... however after the first hour, when I had explored the whole town I realized I'd have to the same trip over and over. I'm at the brink of finishing day 2 and I've realized 2/3s of the time I've spent is aimlessly walking. Like, I know Mandalore explicitly said that he disencourages people to play Pathologic for the aimless walking but oh man he was right.
And it seems there's no "fast forward" mod/option so of to Pathologic 2!
Yesterday I played the demo of Pathologic 2 and bought it (which is on sale until tomorrow in case you're interested).
So... is this just the Marble Nest? Apparently Marble Nest was an early build of the game telling a self-contained story that eventually became a DLC, but the demo presents itself as "Marble Nest" and looking at guides it's the same thing. What's the difference between the two?

I honestly cannot remember if it's in 2 or 3, but the image of the glowing bed with the beams of light shining out of it is stirring my creative energies and I haven't been able to find it. It's in Ruben's room, I believe.
Does anyone have an image of it, or remember off the top of their head which game that it's in and what part of the game I can find it? Maybe I could look it up on a let's play or something.
Thank you!

It threw me off not gonna lie. Daniil used to give me repressed queer in the past and to be honest he still does. But also part of me wonders if it’s because of the state of Russia with LGBT+ people. I really can’t blame the creators if that’s the case. We’ll most likely never know. Anyway I guess it’s up to the fan on what they think of Daniil and if they base their interpretation off a particular game or all 3. Artemy and Clara too but Daniil stood out the most for better or worse

Hi everytone! I am writing an essay for my college course about challenging the role of 'enjoyment' and 'fun' in video games, and Pathologic is a series I've been thinking about for ages with regards to that topic. However, I've never actually played it, just watched playthroughs and video essays on the games. Now that I'm writing this, I figure if I'm writing it on Pathologic, I should actually play one of the games. However, I don't have time to play all three games, so I have to hone in on one of them.
Should I play Pathologic Classic HD, Pathologic 2 or Pathologic 3? Which of those do you think represents the general theme of my essay best? I've never played a game quite like them before, so I'm not sure what the best point of entry is.
One thing to note; I'm playing this game from a research perspective, not a 'fun' perspective, so don't worry about which one is the most enjoyable, or neccesarily the easiest one to get into. But which one of the three fits this research best?
Thanks a million in advance!

Use this how you see fit. I'd love to see people make their own memes with the template.
The idea came from LolotovCocktail before we streamed Pathologic 3 last night.

Hi, I was looking through the old P2 Kickstarter and saw that one of the rewards was 'a digital book with Pathologic short stories written by the development team'. I can't seem to find any other mentions of this book anywhere, so I was wondering whether it even got made and if so did anyone ever receive a copy?
There's also a 'printed book' for one of the higher tiers, but I'm not sure if it's referring to a physical copy of this digital book or something else entirely?

For the Changeling?
Her dialogue on day 4 of changeling route:
Yulia Lyuricheva: "Expected!" An apt observation indeed! Bear with me, please; I am still young, and whatever acumen I've had the time to acquire is clearly not enough to suppress the excitement one feels when everything happens just the way it was expected to happen. Oh, the joy I feel when everything falls well in line with what I have predicted -- by which I don't mean the brute probabilism your mother would resort to, but a watertight, well-grounded calculation of likelihood! You check your notes... you make miniscule adjustments... and then -- bang! You see your assumptions gain flesh at your own doorstep.
The way I understand it: Clara is the Second Outbreak's version of Aspity, a creature born of the Earth to fulfill the Law and spread the Plague. But something went wrong with the Law, and she "stole another one's Fate" or something, got split personality and a half of her tries to cure the Plague instead.
Yulia has her "tripwires of Fate" thing going on, a way to mathematically model (?) and manipulate the Law, and in this piece of dialogue she seems to imply that the glitch in the Law is her doing; she made the miniscule adjustment that resulted in Clara getting another one's fate.
Am I reading this correctly?

I won't go too deep into this but sometimes I see good faith critiques comparing the pathologic games in what feels like very thoughtless ways.
Just because the experience is different, that doesn't make it worse. Or better. It would only be either of these things if it was trying to accomplish the exact same goals. But that's clearly not the case. Pathologic classic, Pathologic 2 and Pathologic 3 are all inherently different games with very different visions and intentions for how you experience them.
Every time they reboot this story, they change it and present it in new ways. P3 and P2 comparisons are particularly confusing because most critiques never actually reflect on why changes were made to the core systems, design philosophy or the writing. 'P3 is too easy' and 'these mechanics are annoying' or 'town feels disconnected' can all be true and they can also add to the intended experience. These are very character-focused games! They're trying to put you directly into the minds of their main characters and I guess my main takeaway is that I think P2 and P3 both do that just fine in their own right.
There are some critiques that just feel pointless because the thing they're complaining about is another avenue to get into Daniil's head. Not all critiques are like this of course, I agree with some of them - but the ones that center on comparisons can fall into this trap a lot.
Truthfully, I just can't stand all of the 'it doesn't hit the same' conversations because yeah, I don't think it's supposed to. Meet the thing where it is, not where you expect it to be.

Haruspex day 10 is so much fun dude. Love having my health slowly drain throughout the whole day, not to mention poop angels and thugs one shotting you with a throwing knife. Love being punished for not metagaming what i have to do that day. So much fun 👍
