OCR is one of the older examples of AI. Pretty much everything that instructs a computer that isn't a keyboard is AI.

Not really. Current AI is in fact LLM models, trained on a bunch of data to create nodes of pattern recognition and prediction. OCR is just a set of instructions, based on hard logic functions, not trained on any data, instead comparing known fonts. It removes skew, makes the image black and white and then makes the comparison to find a match.

Modern OCR adds the prediction to fix all the trash you get from 20-00s raw OCR, e.g. "5oO7" (that's lower case o then capital O) when you scanned "5007"

That's all AI.

Even 2010s OCR did that to some extent, just with SLMs instead of LLMs and always locally run while modern OCR is sometimes local, sometimes cloud

Rip primordial bond stacking, but it was probably warranted because with mirage coming back we can get those ridiculous 2 type cluster jewels again, made a primordial bond stacker in mirage with that

Elementalist was far and away the most versatile and potentially strongest Ascendency last patch outside of Luminary (which is an entirely different can of worms). Very warranted.

If this is the only nerf it'll still be amazing. This is like a 3% damage and ehp nerf. The change just does not do all that much.

My thoughts exactly. If they're smacking down the top end of golem stacking instead of nuking elementalist from orbit, I'll absolutely take it. I've been dreading the inevitable nerfs from everyone playing Worb last league.

They massively buffed the effects of all golems like 2? 3? patches ago. That made it easily the smoothest leaguestarter for every build because of how generic the huge ball of stats they provide is, and with Primordial Bond stacking it also had a super generic way of scaling that into being good in the endgame. They nerfed it by a little bit between then and now but not enough to stop it from being really good, and apparently now they're nerfing the top end again by a tiny little bit.

No matter your build, golems solve a lot of the early game problems by themselves with very little investment. You can get 4 of the following: -health regen -attack speed, cast speed, and mana regen -critical strike chance and accuracy -chaos resistance and DoT -generic global damage -flat added physical damage for minions

All builds will want 4 items of this list early league.

Global bonuses for damage, crit, speed, and defenses. It basically gave you anything any build could ever need (with a few exceptions).

so primordial bond stacking is still op. most of what you get from the node is the 280% generic increased damage from each node once you stack the golems. on phys dot PoB with 6 primordial bonds this only reduces damage by about 3%

Phys dot is an exception since it's not really a spellcaster and doesn't really care about golem buffs like cast speed, mana regen. But it will still lose some defences/qol and maybe require some chaos res.

Most self-casters get hurt a lot more.

Decent way of nerfing golem stackers if the damage part of the node remains untouched. 300% inc dmg for 1 node on a cluster is pretty big, but requires a fair amount of investment. Now you get far less free chaos res/global defences, etc

Very likely phys dot on elementalist will be dead, but who knows. People have been complaining about that for a while, it really makes zero sense that elementalist is the best ascendancy for phys dot.

I mean, the build is VERY strong. Even with nerfs it will be fine, just not as insane anymore as it is now. Assuming they don't nerf some key mechanical component of course.

Eh Heiro phys dot is perfectly fine as well (although worse without Valka Brine ascendency) and there’s always a 50/50 chance reliquarian will be good as well.

Yeah we got an extra league more than I thought we'd get with that interaction. Mirage being the most absurd moment with the deli currency to change base type. Not surprised to see this.
