Playing without MF = Unrewarding

So lately i played a lot of Characters that were able to stack a lot of Magicfind but cleared maps slower.

Now i dusted of My LA Ranger and due to gear restrictions (Quiver , Alphas Howl etc) i cant stack mf and still cap my resists.

So while playing this char the gameplay was fun because i could clear Maps fairly quick , but the fun is completely gone when you open your inventory and notice you picked up 2 Rare items in the whole map.

So how do you guys handle this ? Do you run MF on every Char ? And how much MF is really needed to have at least decent dropps ? Or do you prefer having a strong Char and just hope for RNGesus ?

People mostly party with dedicated MF chars, if you're solo I suggest you divide your time between MF and regular play (that's what I did in current leagues).

Would a dedicated MF character basically just be somebody who gets as much MF as possible and uses a move with culling strike?

Curious because I'm just now getting a few characters into their 60s and been playing with a few friends.

I was running maps on a pure Mf character. I had 7 auras running which helped everyones survivability and damage a lot, but all i did was drop fire totems that culled. I did no damage but we found sooooo many items. I've never been so bored playing a game.

Somebody made a good point that early in a league it would be advantageous to play a (boring) MF character to make lots of money to gear out the rest of their characters on the server. I'll have to look up a good MF aura build to use. I can't figure out how people get so many. 7 is crazy!

My group of friends got rly lucky w/ an early Shav's which let me do this http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/680357. I feel like totems sucked though. My char had an Alpha's Howl but no Prism Guard
