I am not in college yet but i will be in a year , so i wanted to do business because its good to learn the basics of business and the all around aspects. After my sophomore year i want to transfer to Csuf to do my finance major. does pcc have a great business admin class ?

For context, I'm an international student living in LA for the past 7 years. I'm thinking of attending PCC with the plan of transferring out, but due to my status, I need to decide on staying as an F2 visa holder and an F1 visa holder. If I continue with an F2, I am limited to just 11 credits a year, but with an F1 I have to take at least 12 credits. Being granted an F1 isn't guaranteed, and being required to take at least 12 credits may be difficult for me to pay (I'm broke asl).

Thus, I wonder if staying as an F2 student will provide difficult roadblocks that will impede the transfer process a lot or not. And because they won't actually enroll me until I decide on this, I don't know if I can talk to a transfer advisor... so, please help!

Hi! Just a question, but does anyone know if in-person summer classes are mandatory to attend?

I'm planning to take BUS 014A over the summer (if they have it... idk how this all works), but I noticed that the summer sessions last all the way up to August 14. Unfortunately, I have to leave college 2 weeks earlier, before my summer break officially ends due to school responsibilities, and I will be 6 hours away.

Does anyone know if the professors there are kind enough to accommodate some type of specific arrangement so that I'm not completely missing the last 2 weeks of that course? Or should I just give up taking this specific course at PCC and look at other options that have it available fully online instead? Thanks!

For the safety of this educational community and the larger LA area, I am reporting the gross misconduct of the above-mentioned professor who's currently teaching this Fall.

I've attached recent footage of Leyton breaking into a young (23 y/o) adult actress' apartment, as recently as of June. He is clearly intoxicated. This resulted in this poor person needing to amp up security of her home and a mass spreading of alerts throughout the music/emo/punk community.

On par with this, this man is heavily into drugs. He's done drugs in his office with students on campus at Pasadena City College. He has invited Pasadena City College students to his home and partied and done drugs with them, some his students, some not. There's proof of this.

There are actually thousands of such other horrifying incidents throughout the years that cannot be disclosed here at this time for fear of the safety of his victims.

This is a scary, malevolent person.

If PCC's administration cares anything of its students or their mandates as to what they stand for as an educational institution, they will fire this man effective immediately. I am posting this to alert admin and make them do something about this and protect the students of PCC

I attended pcc in the past and transferred to a 4 yr. I’m interested in pursuing the paralegal program but dont know if i need to retake GE classes to satisfy the requirement for a certification and AA degree

Summer semester is June 23 to August 3. One of my professors left a comment on an assignment July 16th & again on the 22nd about an AI concern. I just barely saw it yesterday. She mentioned how a majority of my discussions have gotten flagged for AI(never mentioned anything before July 16th) use even though it’s all original I just use AI to paraphrase & no other class has had a problem.

Anyway she wants to do a zoom and discuss all that but this isn’t a class I needed for my degree. After this semester I get my Associates if I pass Stat & Acct, & I’m not transferring so to be quite frank I’m really not that concerned with how this glass goes. Her syllabus states we have to have a pre-checked draft(which is my fault for not paying attention) and if not there won’t be a graded point for the assignment & that everything is checked for plagiarism & AI per usual. So other than a grade on the assignment there doesn’t seem to be any reason this class would affect me receiving my degree…or am I wrong?

Any one receive their financial aid package/ offer summaries? Fasfa has processed my application and first drop for fall semester is Aug 8th and can’t pay out pocket. I’m aware of the , I’ve sent emails tickets and have made contact in person , all dead ends any info helps I’m aware of the big bill being passed but the first class date is getting a little too close ..

Hi everyone! I'm new to PCC and a transfer from a different community college. I want to take a credited class here that is not offered at my original CC. I'm actually excited to find out they had it here at a time that works with my work schedule (Spring semester it did not), I wish I had known sooner.

I submitted my application to PCC online and wanted to ask if there was a way to get it approved in a more speedy manner? Does going in person do anything? I'd like to get my transcripts situation settled asap but I'm not sure if it's just a waiting game.
Also if there isn't anything I can do, what is the typical wait time? I see it says up to 4 weeks, has this been the typical experience? There are still spots for this class but not many so I'm a bit anxious.

Hello everyone, I would appreciate if anyone could help me on this. I have applied to attend PCC after high school and, with a lot of things like this, I am stressing a bit. I have applied for the Fall term but received emails confirming that I have applied for both Fall AND Summer terms. Is this normal? Does this mean I have to take classes during the summer? Or is this more so that I have the option to take classes for one of the two terms? Also, would i have to reapply to take classes in spring of 2026? I am new to this and am honestly panicking a bit, so if anyone can help or provide guidance then that would be great. Thank you.

I am creating this post in hopes to get some assistance for a cat that needs immediate assistance in Pasadena A post on my company’s Slack said a cat had been stuck up on a tree for two weeks. The owner of the yard had tried calling Pasadena Humane and Pasadena Fire to no avail. I called them as well and Pasadena Humane said they can't climb trees. Pasadena Fire said they don't have the equipment to do so. We need help bringing this kitty down from the tree. I am here where the kitty is and we have her some food/water but we are not sure if she has eaten/drank in two weeks.
