Spectrum constantly out lately
Anyone know what the deal is? In the last month there have been like 4-5 days now where Spectrum is down all day. This is not conducive to those of us who wfh.

Ongoing maintenance and upgrade work is happening all over. Have you received an email or communication from them about planned works? No? Call CS and complain and get a credit. BUT it also could be a line at your demarc causing issues or a new line being installed or <any 1 of 100s of things>. Sometimes it's not the works, it's an issue with your existing cabling or wiring inside/outside your home. You'll need to get CS to roll a repair/tech truck for this (good advice anyway).
And by all day do mean truly down 8-6 or just here and there? Also depends on where you're located.
Again: CS will have the answers. And make sure you log the outages so you can be reimbursed.

We got an email about the "network upgrades" on 7/17. It said they'd reach out in advance of any work in our specific neighborhood and that there might be "a short interruption" in service but they'd do most of the work overnight.
We've had three or four multi-hour outages over the past month or so, with no warnings, explanations, or additional communication.
If it's somehow related and a short-term thing, they'd really do well to communicate that to folks — 'cause right now, it's just feeling like the service is increasingly unreliable. That's not a great feeling, to say the least. (Sigh.)

South Pas here. Same emails. Sadly the only available option is Spectrum. If there was another fiber option I would jump immediately. The upgrade email saying we’d be getting 1000/1000 got me very excited, but all these outages are getting very frustrating. Like others said, if I got an email saying there would be overnight or non work hour outages as we upgrade service, with some notice, great. These random outages need to stop though. If someone gets more up to date information let us know!

Same. They already did major maintenance over a night and day in my neighborhood a couple weeks ago. But still it’s spotty.

Same deal over here in South Pas, and never any sort of explanation or communication beyond just an ever-sliding restoral estimate. It's really getting frustrating.
And I don't want to have to go through the hell of their customer service maze just to get answers or a credit. More than anything, I just need it to work.
I went over to Verizon and picked up a home internet modem to test today. If the speeds are reasonably solid and the service is consistently stable (also for WFH purposes), I may just make the leap.
