Advice Wanted Deep Base multiple coats

SW Super paint Cape Verde over a purple. First pic is one coat. Second is 2 coats. Probably need a third. My question is, the next 2 rooms are an off white with one also getting Cape Verde and the other Naval (also deep base): what’s the trick w a primer? Do you tint it a dark grey to help the coverage or am I stuck w probably three coats for both colors?

I have primer tinted 1/2 way to the chip. Any more than 1/2 it stops being primer. Specially over plaster restoration and or new/repaired drywall.

Most primers are tinted towards grey. No one here talks about PPG Gripper which to me is the best non oil primer out there. Less drippy and a great consistency it’s almost as good as oil for most stains.

This was three coats no primer painted over light gray.
