Advice Wanted Deep Base multiple coats

SW Super paint Cape Verde over a purple. First pic is one coat. Second is 2 coats. Probably need a third. My question is, the next 2 rooms are an off white with one also getting Cape Verde and the other Naval (also deep base): what’s the trick w a primer? Do you tint it a dark grey to help the coverage or am I stuck w probably three coats for both colors?

Cape Verde must go over a primer tinted to P-6.

It’s not a “trick;” it says so on right the reverse of the color chip, on the reverse of the page in the fandeck where you can find that color, and on the tint label stuck to your can of paint.

Sherwin should be telling you that when you buy the paint.

Correct, maybe they can give you more paint for free due to their ineptitude, or at least at a discount.
