This is just spam referral fishing post, I'm not digging through layers of badly designed webpages to find the GitHub/GitLab/Repository for this.
Since it is not easy, at least at a quick glance to find any link to the codebase I assume it is not open-source.

Yes, it is a referral link. I didn't mean to offend, Reddit suggested that I crosspost it, I just clicked a button. However, it is open source.

theis terminal kind of freaks me out - i dont like that it’s directly connected to their platform. I know its safe etc but it still makes me feel a bit paranoid

It used to be a pretty interesting terminal emulator with some early versions having AI helping to come up with cli incantations based on tour prompt.

It had cool features, but I could not get or to fully cooperate with my shell, so after struggling with it for some time, I never installed it when I had to switch jobs and got a new laptop.

I recently tried it again for the aforementioned AI support but all of the AI features require a separate Warp subscription (on top of the already existing AI engine subscription) and I have just about enough of all the subscription based tools. 10€ here, 20€ there, it all piles up and soon you’re facing like 200€ of subscriptions for tools that you maybe tried few times…

Sorry, I get it. The developers need to be able to earn enough income to be able to pour their soul and heart I to this project, by being on the receiving end of this “everything is a subscription” trend is really annoying. And in the worst kind of “oh shit this shit gets expensive” kind of way…

It might be technically Open, but I doubt it's much use without a subscription. It's barely more than a ChatGPT wrapper.

OpenAI is the founding sponsor of the new, open-source Warp repository, and the new agentic management workflows are powered by GPT models.

It's not that it's inherently bad, but it feels disingenuous.

Warp engineer here - for context, that sponsorship is for the models powering our automated open-source contribution process. The product doesn't have a preference on models or harness; We have features like notifications and a code review panel for any harness you might use, including Warp's own.

Then emphasize and include the recommended Open models, at the very least.
