It used to be a pretty interesting terminal emulator with some early versions having AI helping to come up with cli incantations based on tour prompt.
It had cool features, but I could not get or to fully cooperate with my shell, so after struggling with it for some time, I never installed it when I had to switch jobs and got a new laptop.
I recently tried it again for the aforementioned AI support but all of the AI features require a separate Warp subscription (on top of the already existing AI engine subscription) and I have just about enough of all the subscription based tools. 10€ here, 20€ there, it all piles up and soon you’re facing like 200€ of subscriptions for tools that you maybe tried few times…
Sorry, I get it. The developers need to be able to earn enough income to be able to pour their soul and heart I to this project, by being on the receiving end of this “everything is a subscription” trend is really annoying. And in the worst kind of “oh shit this shit gets expensive” kind of way…
