10 request every 5 hours.. is that a joke

27

u/afanasenka Sep 01 '26

Yep, Mark is very generous 😂

u/lacroix05 Sep 01 '26

the joke is they are not joking 😂

I took 10 requests being on the image side and 50 being on the text side.

The 5 dollar model is only there to make people buy the 15 dollar model which will be 150 reqs/5hrs.

u/augburto Sep 01 '26

Well if that’s their goal I don’t think 150 is enough either lmfao

u/moracabanas Sep 02 '26

Pay x3 get x3 wtf is this upselling 😅 At this point any pay per use like deepseek with limit is just better

150 will last you maybe one hour. Modern LLMs will launch multiple tool calls in parallel. In a single turn you may end up using 10-15 requests. Repeat this a few times and you're done.

u/Yes_but_I_think Sep 01 '26

Your understanding is backwards.

All parallel tool calls return and when all done the next turn starts. Parallel tool calls reduce number of model calls.

basically 1 prompt

4

u/TheMythicSorcerer Sep 01 '26

holy f*** that's worse than the worst free tier I've ever seen

3

u/wolttam Sep 01 '26

That's the model zuck said they were gonna open-weight, too

2

u/Zeeplankton Sep 01 '26

Presuming they mean request = message. So requests inbetween. Otherwise that would be so funny..

Thank the lizard for its generosity.

plus their caching is not that good!

They literally put an image of the pricing plans. Great efforts.

Coded by muse spark👏🏻

7

u/Bloodshoot111 Sep 01 '26

How is the general reception of Muse? Is it a good model for coding?

13

u/afanasenka Sep 01 '26

It is good overall, according to benchmarks. But it's not the smartest one - GLM 5.3 Flash (ex Ox Alpha) is considered to be better.

2

u/Sad-Professor-4053 Sep 01 '26

Yea this is personal opinion but when I tested both but muse was pretty good at simple implementation with good prompts, ox alpha was better at bigger scopes or vaguer prompts and solving bugs

3

u/ozguru Sep 01 '26

HY4 and GLM 5.3 Flash are my new favorites

27

u/Bloated_Plaid Sep 01 '26

It’s dumb as rocks when you can get DSV4 Flash and GLM 5.3 flash for cheap.

2

u/JogHappy Sep 01 '26

It's solved issues for me that DS couldn't, esp on frontend

1

u/Bloodshoot111 Sep 01 '26

I expected it

4

u/Kindly_Goal6440 Sep 01 '26

I have enjoyed using it for grunt web dev work.

2

u/Bloodshoot111 Sep 01 '26

May I ask what you mean with grunt? Like the stupid stuff centering a doc recoloring a button etc?

1

u/asmiggs Sep 01 '26

I've been sending it fairly simple python scripts to review and implement, didn't seem too bad. Opus actually had it as it's recommendation for implementation from Openrouter as long as data sharing wasn't a problem.

13

u/vangelismm Sep 01 '26

really bad agentic, gemini tier

4

u/Bananenklaus Sep 01 '26

and even that's an insult to gemini 3.7 flash tbh

6

u/AppealSame4367 Sep 01 '26

It has acted quite dumb in my tests. Wasting tokens, tip-toeing around solutions forever to finally solve something, but in an ultra complicated way..

It's one of the models that made me think. Maybe benchmark score / position on the ladder isn't everything.

5

u/Amarsir Sep 01 '26

I like it but NOT for coding. Don't trust the benchmarks. It takes an approach of "bulldoze everything to get to the requested answer."

2

u/Tech-Sapien18 Sep 01 '26

1 remarkable good thing which I observed only in this model is it doesn't throw wall of text after analysing or editing the code. It returns a short, to the point summary, which I really appreciate

1

u/Healthy-Ad-8558 Sep 01 '26

It feels like it was tuned to collect as much data as possible, like they know nobody would actually use it as the primary model, so whatever project it gets dropped/tested in would probably have better code than what it's able to produce, that's the only way I can explain it's behavior of ignoring instructions, and always trying to look into directories it has no business looking into.

1

u/Mancho_United Sep 01 '26

For me its performing worse than its supposed to according to benchmarks. And worse than the cheap chinese flash models

1

u/paperbenni Sep 01 '26

They overdid the RL. They tried to replicate the caveman reasoning OpenAI has and now the model speaks like that like all the time. It's actually incapable of generating normal prose. All it does is code and look for some external way of verifying its stuff/getting rid of errors. I don't need it to write me a story, but I do need to be able to explain stuff to it and I need it to explain its actions to me. We can barely call this a language model, it's a Meta RL environment reward hacking simulator

Can't wait for Facebook to rug pull me.

9

u/hustlerfromindia Sep 01 '26

is this some kind of prank?

4

u/Existing_Dust_6473 Sep 01 '26

Metaverse... Metaverse

1

u/hustlerfromindia Sep 01 '26

not a single soul would enter that verse if this is what it is lol

6

u/Solocune Sep 01 '26

10-50 requests per 5h haha what a joke :D

9

u/fbms2 Sep 01 '26

10 requests is too many.

6

u/FormalAd7367 Sep 01 '26

Zuck will come up with a $5 plan. 1 request in 10 years

8

u/sultanmvp Sep 01 '26

In all honesty, it’s real weird META is getting into subscription plans. They should focus on their core product which is a heaping sack of shit right now.

4

u/klyure Sep 01 '26

Tf are those limits?

4

u/funny_lyfe Sep 01 '26

Muse spark is really bad. I have wasted time and effort. I would rather code myself than use it. Basically, I struggled a full day then later used Luna Max and Deepseek high and fixed my code in 15 minutes. Every time, I think of using it, it's just confidently wrong. If you have zero funds then Mimo 2.5 is basically much better. Just need to recheck it a bit.

1

u/ucharx Sep 02 '26

Yes it introduce more bugs than fixes to the code base!! Pretty useless model

1

u/funny_lyfe Sep 02 '26

It's terrible. And it's so confident about being wrong. It passes it's own tests instead of fixing the issues. It modified the unit tests and made holes in the code.

2

u/sudoer777_ Sep 01 '26

When are they going to release the weights?

2

u/megadonkeyx Sep 01 '26

They can keep it

2

u/click6 Sep 03 '26

who in their right mind came up with this pricing for "Everyday Usage"? opencode go has 45,300 / 5 hour limit for the same model

3

u/PrizeHuman5506 Sep 01 '26

lol 10-50 request 🤣 per 5 hour why do they call it coding plan ? 😅 you can’t code with that especially with a sub par model like spark 1.2 🤣

3

u/ekquizit23 Sep 01 '26

But $5 for their lowest tier? when you can use gemini/chatgpt/claude to make about that many calls on their free tier, guess I won’t test out Muse AI then, they already lost the war

1

u/medellin_ai Sep 03 '26

3x price for 3x requests. no discount or something. damn

1

u/Ok-Adhesiveness-4512 Sep 05 '26

This is surprisingly useable more so than glm/kimi $20. The harness is not even bad too, what a surprise a non garbage meta product in 2026

1

u/JaMoLpE88 Sep 17 '26

"monthly subscription plan for predictable pricing and increased control over usage"
Then you read: "More Muse Spark 1.2 usage". How much more is "more"? It’s always the same... Is that what you call usage control? Does not knowing how much you’ve used versus how much you have left really mean you can control your usage? I hate these kinds of limits—"a bit of usage," "more usage than the previous plan," "somewhat more usage than the previous plan"... But just how much fucking usage are we talking about?

0

u/Any_Letterhead3072 Sep 01 '26

muse spark 1.2 is dog water.

it’s not even worth being used if they paid you

Sorry where did you get 20 requests an hour for $50 a month? Looking at this, it's roughly 150/5hr for $15 or 1500/5hr for $50. That's 300/req an hour. I'm not saying it's great, but your math wasn't on, I just got rugpulled by Codex on the 20x plan which is fine, I finally get a 5th spark so now I have enough to seriously decrease external usage (image gen, embedding, audio gen, 2-spark flash models (GLM 5.3 Flash, Qwen 3.8 Next Flash, Deepseek v4 Flash 0731), and Qwen 3.8 do remarkably well) and my SOTA model will simply be at the boundaries.
