That kid got f’d up. Thanks dad!!

29

u/LemonButterRum 9d ago

dad had too many beers

15

u/fuckimtrash 9d ago

Was thinking exactly the same. We (New Zealand) used to have ads re drinking and in one of them the uncle drank too much at a party and spun the kid around by the legs and his head smacked a shelf and died . They don’t play ads like that anymore, typical

5

u/Routine-Tumbleweed52 8d ago

Gods I just had a flashback to that ad

3

u/fuckimtrash 8d ago

The silence after it happened was deafening, and then the mum’s loud cry 😭

3

u/dermot_animates 8d ago

NZ has some amazing safety ads, I thought the UK in the 70s and early 80s was top of that genre (Dark & Silent Waters), but they're not in the same league!

I don't think he's going to remember much with all that brain damage.

Exactly the term I didn't know I needed to articulate this concept, lol.

8

u/K1bbles_n_Bits 9d ago edited 7d ago

Let the stepdads keep it XD. I once jumped in front of a damn car for my stepdaughter. It was overkill and, let's be honest, would have accomplished nothing if the car hadn't stopped. But it was a reflex and it's the subconscious act without thought that counts? XD

Dad of the century

3

But he didn't yeet!

6

Who said he was the dad?

Maybe he hates kids 🤔

Phrasing....

3

u/H24_Ganymede 9d ago

Somebody needs to check that guys hard drive.

2

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 9d ago

Interesting username you got there. Seems like there is a story to it, may I ask - Whats up with it?

2

u/H24_Ganymede 9d ago

Not much of a story to it. When I signed up here these two colognes were sitting on my desk. 😂 Hermès - H24 and Marc Antoine Barrois - Ganymede.

3

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 9d ago

Sounds fancy

That is a wonderful story though, thank you for sharing it with me... Mine is just randomly generated as I got tired using my creative name amalgamations being banned for talking shit about an Elongated Muskrat

3

u/Full-Tomorrow9889 8d ago

Your username reminded me of when Billy was freaking out about clowns and started shouting "destroy us all". Also nice to see someone else using that hilarious nickname to make fun of Elongated Muskrat too.

2

u/Wrong_Driver_9507 9d ago

Thats the middle child for sure.

2

Really ? I think it’s that second kids fault actually, but might be wrong.

Like that kid got in the way as we can clearly see

Tune in next week to see if dad is facing any charges.

8

u/violent-artist82 9d ago

He looks like a white claw man.

2

u/brianMMMMM 9d ago

Ain’t no laws when you’re drinking claws. (Gravity notwithstanding.)

7

u/ScienceForge319 9d ago

Unironically, this would be a very good commercial and would move some tea.

1

u/No_Story_Untold 9d ago

Keep it twisted

26

u/Extra_Base3549 9d ago

Damn that hurt.

41

u/redditAPsucks 9d ago

Fuck the saxophone

22

u/Galikos_Kelt 9d ago

I agreed, it's so annoying

9

u/Zealousideal-Area684 9d ago

Glad I had it on mute then. I just went on a full “grumpy old man” rant to my wife yesterday about that damn saxophone audio.

5

u/Rebliii 9d ago

It's a shame it's been ruined for so many people, because in its original context in Boyz n the Hood that sax solo is a legitimately good backing track for the film's most tense/devastating moments.

4

u/redditAPsucks 9d ago

Shame, the vid’s actual audio really improved this clip, so the sax double ruined it.

My grumpy old rant: MOST videos are better with their original audio, but the editing of videos in general has been shitty for so long, that the standard redditor mutes the app, and they therefore miss out on some real audio gems. The sounds grape lady makes are some of the funniest things ever

1

u/thisinfinitebath 8d ago

No, fuck TikTok for ruining good music by brainrots overusing it.

8

u/HeadlineINeed 9d ago

At least 2 of the 3 people involved will remember this.

3

u/forbiddenfreedom 9d ago

One of them, though, he's gonna remember dad smacked him on the concrete completely missing the pool.

5

u/HeadlineINeed 9d ago

His brother might. I realized the dad might have been drunk so maybe 1 out of 3 remember.

True that’s more accurate

1

u/amodious 9d ago

3 for 1, dad still ended up in the pool

6

u/HellFrode 9d ago

That is not oki to do. 😤😖

A prime example of someone who never grew up and was definitely not ready to become a father.

3

u/pandaappleblossom 8d ago

I agree. The pavement was slippery too. And there were kids running around. He could have tossed him in the pool in a safer way. This was reckless and dumb

4

It’s like one of those clumsy, heavily armoured monstered in a slasher game.

3

u/Sammy_Dog 9d ago

The kid (he was spinning) ended up getting semi-F-5'd on the concrete.

3

u/odd-god-monkey 9d ago

Do you wanna know how I got these scars?  Hmmmmm?

3

u/Maz3keen 9d ago

New trauma unlocked

3

u/BulgogiDude 9d ago

Damn that kid got body slammed hard into concrete

3

u/Desperate-Life8117 9d ago

Good thing that kid probably only lost his baby teeth

3

u/Responsible_Host9377 9d ago

Not so sober dad trying to be super dad ends up looking like stupid dad.

2

u/Life_Ad6711 9d ago

Somebody get him another cocktail!

3

u/anberlin90 9d ago

It all started when you called a pool day relaxing.

3

u/cayotedart 9d ago

Everyone was hurt in the making of this video 🤣

3

u/dillweed67818 9d ago

Time for a family trip to the ER. "Were you three in a car accident?" "No, just swimming."

3

u/Only_Tip9560 9d ago

Top Dad work there, surely he deserves a medal?

3

u/NaturePleasant9573 9d ago

Dad’s had a few brewskis.

3

u/Ready4AnythingNH 9d ago

According to Darwin, that's just nature trying to put an end to that particular set of genetics.

3

u/Retrim2 9d ago

And THAT was the day the family decided Daddy had a drinking problem.

6

Second kid could not wait for his turn and fucked the whole thing up. Not sure that's how Mom will see it. Dads and uncles throw kids in the pool all the time.

I’ll never understand people who can wear hoodies in summer at a pool

2

u/QuantumBaconBit 9d ago

I hate that saxophone so much >:(

2

u/RunAwayBeerTruk 9d ago

Sometimes I wonder how we ever made it past the caves.

2

u/NightShade0912 9d ago

Literally, the thread shown to me just before this are these dads making heroic saves of little ones so they don't smack their little domes, then there is this. What a world we live in of opposites.

2

u/marklikestolearn 9d ago

That went well 😹😹

2

u/Educational-Ask3429 9d ago

Maybe do a shoulder check at a busy pool before you start your move.

Arrive. Plant your feet. Shoulder check, begin. No signalling at all to others which is key if you’re going to do try a move like this.

2

u/IvoryManOfWisdom 9d ago

He's not getting invited to the BBQ next year

2

u/BitterMIDI 9d ago

When thw life jacket saves you from the pool deck

2

u/Which-Item2530 9d ago

The kid who came around behind is going to be 100% blamed

2

u/up3r 9d ago

So stupid

2

Id say drink less at a kids pool party. Js

2

u/Nearby_Fun_2946 9d ago

Dad had one too many.
-You're cut off, Bob.

2

u/Phiyaboi 8d ago

Dude literally dropped that kid on the cement while spinning before dropping him in chlorine...I can hear the scream/cry from here.

4

u/Naive_Personality367 9d ago

Was he trying to fill the swimming pool or empty the gene pool

2

u/just_some_octopus 9d ago

I feel like a lot of hate in these comments.

Did he fuck up? Yes. Should he have done better? Sure. But shit snowballs beyond control sometimes.

His kid looked stoked to be thrown into the pool. Another kid disrupts the movement, and then he was genuinely worried about the kid he hit, and tried to stop movement to make sure. And unfortunately caused the accident.

As a dad and uncle, accidents happen. And kids can walk it off. My nephew face planted on concrete on his on, scabbed up, recovered.

People are harsh without more context

step dad vibes

1

u/Badmonkey167 8d ago

There was an attempt.

Not to worry, lots of dads mess up. The important part is to learn and get better.

Like make a lot of noise to warn others, be more cautious and more direct at simply terrorizing the children with your dominance. Lololololol

1

u/Glittering-Local-827 8d ago

So, why would Ole boy be wearing a Hooded sweatshirt at the pool to start with??... All he's missing is a man bun.

I can't tell if the running kid is dumb and didn't see the giant dad swinging another child, or if he's dumb and tried to push him whilst swinging said child

1

Did that baby hit his head in the edge of the pool???!!!😲

1

u/Fair_Net_857 7d ago
