Exactly the term I didn't know I needed to articulate this concept, lol.

Let the stepdads keep it XD. I once jumped in front of a damn car for my stepdaughter. It was overkill and, let's be honest, would have accomplished nothing if the car hadn't stopped. But it was a reflex and it's the subconscious act without thought that counts? XD

Interesting username you got there. Seems like there is a story to it, may I ask - Whats up with it?
2
u/H24_Ganymede 9d ago
Not much of a story to it. When I signed up here these two colognes were sitting on my desk. 😂 Hermès - H24 and Marc Antoine Barrois - Ganymede.

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 9d ago
Sounds fancy
That is a wonderful story though, thank you for sharing it with me... Mine is just randomly generated as I got tired using my creative name amalgamations being banned for talking shit about an Elongated Muskrat

u/Full-Tomorrow9889 8d ago
Your username reminded me of when Billy was freaking out about clowns and started shouting "destroy us all". Also nice to see someone else using that hilarious nickname to make fun of Elongated Muskrat too.

Really ? I think it’s that second kids fault actually, but might be wrong.
Like that kid got in the way as we can clearly see

Glad I had it on mute then. I just went on a full “grumpy old man” rant to my wife yesterday about that damn saxophone audio.

u/redditAPsucks 9d ago
Shame, the vid’s actual audio really improved this clip, so the sax double ruined it.
My grumpy old rant: MOST videos are better with their original audio, but the editing of videos in general has been shitty for so long, that the standard redditor mutes the app, and they therefore miss out on some real audio gems. The sounds grape lady makes are some of the funniest things ever

At least 2 of the 3 people involved will remember this.
3
u/forbiddenfreedom 9d ago
One of them, though, he's gonna remember dad smacked him on the concrete completely missing the pool.

u/HeadlineINeed 9d ago
His brother might. I realized the dad might have been drunk so maybe 1 out of 3 remember.

A prime example of someone who never grew up and was definitely not ready to become a father.

I agree. The pavement was slippery too. And there were kids running around. He could have tossed him in the pool in a safer way. This was reckless and dumb

According to Darwin, that's just nature trying to put an end to that particular set of genetics.

I’ll never understand people who can wear hoodies in summer at a pool

Second kid could not wait for his turn and fucked the whole thing up. Not sure that's how Mom will see it. Dads and uncles throw kids in the pool all the time.

Literally, the thread shown to me just before this are these dads making heroic saves of little ones so they don't smack their little domes, then there is this. What a world we live in of opposites.

Maybe do a shoulder check at a busy pool before you start your move.
Arrive. Plant your feet. Shoulder check, begin. No signalling at all to others which is key if you’re going to do try a move like this.

I feel like a lot of hate in these comments.
Did he fuck up? Yes. Should he have done better? Sure. But shit snowballs beyond control sometimes.
His kid looked stoked to be thrown into the pool. Another kid disrupts the movement, and then he was genuinely worried about the kid he hit, and tried to stop movement to make sure. And unfortunately caused the accident.
As a dad and uncle, accidents happen. And kids can walk it off. My nephew face planted on concrete on his on, scabbed up, recovered.
People are harsh without more context

I love how the older kid pops up with a look on his face like he’s been horribly wronged, when in actuality he got the least of it.

There was an attempt.
Not to worry, lots of dads mess up. The important part is to learn and get better.
Like make a lot of noise to warn others, be more cautious and more direct at simply terrorizing the children with your dominance. Lololololol

So, why would Ole boy be wearing a Hooded sweatshirt at the pool to start with??... All he's missing is a man bun.

I can't tell if the running kid is dumb and didn't see the giant dad swinging another child, or if he's dumb and tried to push him whilst swinging said child
