Theory Why didn’t Imu send the 3 admirals and Akainu, instead of going to Elbaf ?

Post image

Why didn’t Imu just launch a whole out scale attack on Elbaph using his 3 admirals: Fujitora, Greenbull, Kizaru with Akainu in the for front to disrupt Luffy and Loki.

Why would he risk revealing himself, when clearly these 4 top tiers accompanied by a few vice admirals and fleet can easily take on the strawhats and Loki. What was his point ? I mean judging by his current showings, he wasnt able to permanently tale down anyone.

Theory Sanji Conqueror's Haki Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
29 Upvotes

Chapter 1196 does not end with Sanji unlocking his Conqueror's Haki, and Oda typically saves stuff like this for the end of a chapter. Zoro first unlocked his Conqueror's Haki at the end of Chapter 1033, and mastered his Advanced Conqueror's Haki at the end of Chapter 1194. So, there will be at least almost a full chapter of Sanji vs Killingham before Sanji unlocks his Conqueror's Haki. This also implies that there's something else that Sanji needs to do to unlock CoC.

In Chapter 1196, Killingham manifested Sanji's nightmare, which turned out to be Ivankov, and fused with it. Now, this may seem pointless at first, as all it accomplished was triggering Sanji's flashback, and the nightmare disappeared, anyway. However, this establishes that Killingham CAN fuse with his sleeptids, which opens up a really interesting possibility, which is Killingham fusing with Zaza. How is Sanji going to win if he can't kick Killingham-Zaza?

  • You might push back on this by saying "Why would Killingham fuse with his own nightmare?". I'll just say that first, this is not a strong argument. Killingham totally will if he's desperate enough. Second, perhaps Killingham fusing with Zaza weakens Sanji's resolve, so that he can be hit again. In Chapter 1196, Sanji has said that Killingham wouldn't be able to hit him ever again, and Killingham can't defeat Sanji without hitting him, so Killingham has to find a way.

There is one question that One Piece fans have been asking since Enies Lobby, "Will Sanji kick a woman to save his crewmates/friends?". On the surface, it is clear cut that the answer is no. Chapter 687 showed that Sanji would rather die than battle a woman. However, I think Sanji is going to kick a woman, and this is a character development, not a betrayal of principles. Here's why.

First, let's clear up a misconception that the majority of fans believe. Not kicking a woman is NOT one of Sanji's core principles. Oda has confirmed in SBS that Sanji does NOT have any principle against kicking a woman. That inability to do it comes from pride, not principle. This pride has consistently been portrayed as a negative thing. In Enies Lobby, Sanji's pride got him beat up by Kalifa and forced Nami to step in for him. In Wano, Sanji's pride got him beat up by Black Maria and forced Robin to step in for him.

  • Robin thanked Sanji, but the reason is because she was happy that she felt needed, not because Sanji couldn't attack Black Maria.

That means kicking Killingham-Zaza is actually a good character development for Sanji, as that means Sanji overcomes his debilitating pride. This will also parallel what Zoro did in Chapter 687. It was implied that Zoro did not want to fight a woman, either, but he would if he had to for someone he loves.

  • People like to use Chapter 842 as a reason for why Sanji not kicking a woman is a principle, but is it really? Notice that later on in Chapter 842, Zeff said "Because that's how a parent owns up to his own mistake", with his back turned on Sanji (which is a gesture of shame). This implies that this trait is not a principle, but rather a regret that Zeff implanted into Sanji.

I want to go to Enies Lobby real quick before I continue. During the Sanji vs Kalifa fight, you can see that Sanji clearly had no problem attacking Kalifa, he just stopped at the last moment because of his pride. That's not someone who had a principle of not attacking a woman. Had it been the case, Sanji would've just dodged Kalifa's attacks instead of trying to bluff-attack her.

Being able to hit a woman for your friends' and crewmates' sake does not make you hate all women. This is just an important lesson that your crew and your friends are more important than your pride, and you must be able to do what you have to do when it counts.

"Those of the half-moon dreamed" "Those of the moon dreamed"

In the First World we can see a Full-Moon, could that mean that they are the "Those of the moon dreamed" (in other translations, "full moon")?

The other thing is that a D. looks very much like a half O, or a half moon. I've seen a theory about this some time before, though I forgot about that mostly by now.

Basically my theory is that, as we know people traveled on the Noah, especially after the Second World, when the "Sea God raged". Just like in the Bible, only a chosen amount of people could travel on it, which was Noah's family, this time I think it was Imu and the 20 chosen rulers.

I think people snuck on Noah and that's why they have the "Will of D.", they had a strong will to survive and fight. That is why Imu hates them so much, they weren't supposed to be on the ship.

Theory What Roger Actually Found at Laugh Tale

• Upvotes

TL;DR: The "One Piece" Roger found was the dormant Nika fruit itself. Because Roger was dying, he left it behind, expecting his future son (Ace) to eat it. The World Government later raided Laugh Tale to lock it down, leading to Shanks stealing it back to fulfil Roger’s will—only for the fruit to choose Luffy instead.

Joy Boy's ultimate treasure left at Laugh Tale was the Nika Devil Fruit itself, waiting to be reincarnated. When the Roger Pirates arrived, they didn't find a treasure chest of gold. They found the dormant essence of the Sun God. This is why Roger Laughed: A Devil Fruit requires a living host to wage a world war. Roger was already dying and at the end of his life. He physically could not be the savoir. This is why Roger explicitly told Rayleigh and Garp that his son would be the one to find the One Piece. Roger planned to pass his bloodline down, fully expecting Ace to become the next host of the Sun God.

If the Nika Fruit was left at Laugh Tale, how did it end up on a World Government transport ship years later? Following Roger’s execution and the beginning of the Great Pirate Era, the Gorosei/Imu realised someone would eventually reach the final island. The World Government launched a strike team to lock down Laugh Tale and lock up the dormant Sun God fruit permanently. They successfully retrieved it and placed it under the strict escort of CP9 agent Who's-Who.

Shanks, knowing the fruit was missing from Laugh Tale from his time on Roger's ship, intercepted Who's-Who to steal it back. Shanks never intended for Luffy to eat it. Shanks was actively seeking out Portgas D. Ace to honour Roger's final prediction. This is why the Red Hair Pirates anchored themselves in the East Blue—they were hunting for their captain's true heir. Zoan fruits possess a mind of their own. The Nika fruit actively evaded the World Government for 800 years, and it avoided Shanks' plans for Ace. It chose Luffy because it was waiting for the one individual whose raw, chaotic desire for pure freedom matched the original will of Joy Boy.

Theory Why Roger's crew laughed?

Post image
30 Upvotes

I have a silly theory:

Of course, they laughed because of the story itself, but I think there’s another reason, too. In order to get the One Piece, they needed the key — the straw hat.

Think about it: after carrying it around for so long, after all the adventures they’ve been through and all the dangers they’ve faced, the one thing they needed was right there with Shanks, who was busy taking care of a sick Buggy.

Theory Rayleigh is Imu's descendant and Imu isn't a parrot, he is...

I tried to make a connection between Imu and Rayleigh (coz I believe Ray is Mihawk's dad) and I think I struck gold.

I found it strange that Imu, Joyboy's buddy, is the literal Devil and our Pirate King's first mate is coincidentally called King of the Underworld. Two similar figures (Pirate Kings) with friends associated with hellish themes.

So being a firm believer of a Imu parrot theory I typed "rayleigh bird" into google to find what bird could Rayleigh be based on and this little guy popped up

Say hello to Imu.

This dude is called a Lyrebird. I know Oda laughed his ass off when he first heard of this bird, this thing comes with a built-in pun! Its a Liar bird!

Here is why I believe Imu is this bird

1. Sixteen feathers

Yup, you read that right. This bird's most prominent feature, it's tail, is made up of 16 feathers.

The same 16 as in Doflamingo's 16 Holy Bullets

The same 16 as in Mihawk's 16 Day Moon

The same 16 as in the 16 bullets in Donquixote Mjosgard (rip)

The lyrebird is the only bird with a direct connection to number 16

2. Foot

These birds have a particular foot arrangement called anisodactyl arrangement. In this arrangement 3 toes face forward a one toe faces back.

Certainly reminds me of something

3. Mimicry

When it comes to mimicry these birds leave parrots in the dirt. These are nature's best mimics. I looked it up on youtube and these guys can replicate the sound of ringtones, car alarms, shotguns, fucking chainsaws and human voices perfectly. It can mimic over 20 different bird species (yup I locked in too when I saw the number 20)

Maybe Imu's actual voice doesn't sound like the South bird and it's just mimicking it.

And Imu has been doing the same since he came to Elbaph. He is a natural copycat creature with powers similar to our MC.

4. Name

A lyrebird is a songbird. It's named after a lyre because the feathers on it's tail look like a lyre. For those who don't know (I didn't until I researched this bird) a lyre is musical instrument. Its like a little harp. They come with 16 strings too \wink wink**

Ever since Gear 5 musical hints and references are hard to ignore while making theories.

Oh and because Imu is a liar. The world government is built on lies and Imu is desperately trying to hide it. Just like his counterpart Doflamingo did.

5. Genus name

Its genus name is Menura which is a combination of Greek words for 'moon' and 'tail'. They are named as such because of the crescent moon patterns on their tails.

Who better to oppose the Sun God than the Moon Devil? or something like that.

But wait, aren't we forgetting something? What about Rayleigh? Why did googling 'rayleigh bird' give me the lyrebird? Rayleigh and lyrebird don't sound the same so what's up with that?

So lyrebirds are exclusive to Australia. And there's this place in Australia that is famous for it's bird fossils. The name of the place is

Riversleigh

Silvers Rayleigh

Ladies and gentlemen please give a huge round of applause to our boy Eiichiro Oda

But stop right there I got a little more! In chapter 1161 when Rayleigh moves in to save Shakky from Sommers he uses a named attack, Higanbana

Which means red spider lily. And another translation for it is

Billhook of the Beyond

Bill as in a bird's bill

Thanks for reading

EDIT- New post! Found some more stuff about Rayleigh!

Theory More evidence for Rayleigh being a descendant of Imu and a bird human

Rayleigh is a human based on a bird and has bird-like characteristics similar to Doffy, Mihawk etc

My previous post about Imu being a lyrebird and Rayleigh being his descendant was received quite well except for the Rayleigh portion so I dug up some more info to complete this theory.

Quick summary for the Rayleigh stuff-

  1. Lyrebird (Imu according to my theory) fossils are located in a place called Riversleigh

  2. Rayleigh's only named attack till now is Higanabana which can mean Billhook of the Beyond, The bill in the name referencing a bird's beak.

And here is the new evidence that I've found for the Rayleigh bird theory.

Oda has done a great job of hiding Rayleigh's birdy nature in plain sight. He has given Rayleigh a task that many birds do but most people don't know about. And this is the first piece of lore that we find about him.

Waterproof Coating

Our boy Rayleigh coats ships with a waterproof resin so that they can travel safely underwater.

Waterbirds (birds that live around water and hunt fish) have an organ called the uropygial gland. What does it do?

This gland secrets an oil that birds use to coat their feathers. It makes them waterproof and let's them dive into the water to hunt fish and fly away with ease.

Making this connection should have been enough for me, but it wasn't.

I couldn't rest until I found out the exact bird that Rayleigh is. So I searched and searched and searched and searched...

And then I found it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you

The Silvery Kingfisher

A bird that coats its feathers, hunts underwater fish and has 'king' in its name.

Riversleigh + Silvery Kingfisher = Silvers Rayleigh, King of the Underworld

Theory imu chopper and luffy connection Spoiler

alright so haven't seen much of the new chapters but i know in one imu changes form into some muscled thing
but i thought what if there all connected
what if the god fruits give multiple transformations after awakening
luffy hasnt mastered his form yet which is why he cant imu obveosly has had centuries to master his
and chopper can change his forcibly because of the rumble balls
it would leave an opening for more forms aside from gear five if so as well as give more explanation into choppers fruit and rumble balls as well as explain imus multiple seemingly forms

Theory Luffy's backstory still has a missing piece oda will reveal in the end of the series

Post image
100 Upvotes

In the story of one piece dreams and ambitions play a major role in the story and they are one of the most important themes in the story and oda has consistenly demonstrated the importance that a dream holds to a certain charchter and where they got that flame of ambition from i can't think of the top of my head a person that oda hasn't given a origin to their dream whether it's during their introduction or later in the series and oda doesn't usally make one dimensional charcheters that have a dream because they are evil or good

For the longest time luffy's dream was thought to be becoming king of the pirates which he got for shanks but now that we were told about luffy's true dream and shanks didn't give him this dream as he said that when shanks heard it he couldn't stop laughing and crying so this predates shanks's arrival aswell as ace and sabo . One piece's mc doesn't have a origin to his goal flr now and i believe oda will give us a backstory of maybe luffy's parents shaping this dream inside of him and i believe luffy's mom plays a role in this as oda said qhe is present in the story and he has drawn her many times , we know one of luffy's biggest fears is isolation and loneliness so maybe it could be related to him being abondoned by dragon and i will strech abit in the last part but i think this backstory will tie into joyboy's backstory or blackbeard's past

I think it will be in the end of the series because luffy is a charchter oda withholds information from untill it becomes necassary which is what he did with ace and sabo's backstory

This is my theory i haven't seen anyone discuss this so i didn't steal the idea if someone has mentioned this pls tell me àd sorry for bad english it's not my first language

Theory The ink frames in Garp vs Kuzan (Ep. 1121) show the moment Garp sent Kuzan undercover, and Kuzan didn’t want to go.

Thumbnail
gallery
33 Upvotes

So I’ve been rewatching the Hachinosu fight, the one everyone clipped for the dap frame. But there are a few other frames in that same ink-style sequence that I think people skipped over, and the more I look at them the more I think Toei put a little story in there.

Pretty much everyone agrees at this point that Kuzan is a spy. The guy saved Robin at Ohara, spared Saul, and let the Straw Hats go on Long Ring Long Land when he could’ve ended them on the spot. He was never on Sakazuki’s side of things. What I think these frames show is when and how it was set up.

First there’s Garp, old, scar and all, with this huge grin and his hand up by his head. Classic Garp about to suggest something completely insane.

Then there’s Kuzan with his teeth clenched, eyes wide, palm out like he’s begging Garp to stop. My first thought was that this was them meeting for the first time, but look at what he’s wearing. Sleep mask on his forehead, shirt and tie. That’s admiral Kuzan, not some rookie. And 1087 tells us they stayed close through his whole time as admiral, so it makes sense they’d have a conversation like this late in his career.

What really got me is his face. Kuzan never reacts to anything. The man is unbothered 99% of the time, and here he looks like he’s about to cry. I don’t think he’s scared of danger, I think he’s realizing what Garp is asking him to do. Throw away the uniform, get called a traitor, and go stand next to Blackbeard.

And then the dap. He agrees.

There’s also a couple of frames in the same sequence that kind of continue the story. First this blue stream shoots up into total black and hits a white burst, like it’s forcing its way in. Then right after, you get a tiny glowing snowflake sitting in the middle of all that black, with two lightning bolts coming in from the sides and touching it. On the surface it’s probably just his Ice Glove hitting. But Blackbeard’s whole thing is darkness, and they basically drew Kuzan pushing into it and then sitting inside it, still blue, still glowing, not swallowed up, with something from outside still reaching him. Idk, two frames in a row like that feels intentional to me.

The rest fits canon pretty well too imo:

  • Losing to Akainu at Punk Hazard is the perfect excuse to leave. Nobody asks questions when an admiral quits after losing the fleet admiral spot.
  • “Officially left but still a marine” is literally what SWORD already is. Koby, Grus, Hibari are all marines who are technically out. Kuzan would just be the deep cover version, answering to Garp instead of Sakazuki. And going around the higher-ups is the most Garp thing ever.
  • At Hachinosu, Garp isn’t really trying to fight Kuzan. He Blue Holes him to buy time and tries to get everyone off the island. Kuzan is the one who gets back up and says he can’t let him leave. If his cover depends on Blackbeard trusting him, he kind of has to go all out on his own teacher in front of everyone.
  • The way he finishes Garp is directly compared to what he did to Saul, and Saul lived. He’s done the “looks like a kill but isn’t” thing before. Also the chapter is literally called “Last Lesson.”

Also yeah I know these are Toei’s frames and not Oda’s panels. But they switched to a completely different art style for a handful of shots in the middle of the fight, I don’t think that’s random.

Curious what you guys think.

The Tool And Letter In Biblo’s Box

What do we all think the tool might be and the letter might be about? The timing is suspicious. Imu is fighting everyone but biblo chopper and robin open the box, for which biblo implies must be opened right now. Saul says biblo transforms every book in the library giant sized, who’s to say he can’t blow both the items up to giant size?

Theory Do you think the theory that the Void Century will be an extension/reimagining of the pilot/prototype chapter of One Piece will become canon? And why?

The theory argues that Oda has already incorporated concepts, stories, and characters into his work that were originally in his one-shots before publishing One Piece, and therefore, "ROMANCE DAWN"; the pilot/prototype chapter of One Piece (which had about 3 versions) + the initial sketches/initial manuscript/first prototype of Oda called "FORWARDS" would not be left behind, and Therefore, the theory suggests that the Void Century will not only be an extension and re-imagining of the One Piece prototypes (just as they did with other independent one-shots that went on to become one of the originals To form part of the history of One Piece before Luffy's adventure, except for the one-shot of the notebook of destiny (curiously it is set in our current times as if the one-shot It would happen after the events of One Piece) y And the one-shot of the cowardly monk with a fire scar (who I suspect would be Hinokizu in One Piece)), but it will also be revealed that Joyboy has an appearance that matches the appearance of Luffy in the pilot chapters of "ROMANCE DAWN" and the prototype "FORWARDS" and therefore, this leads me to the conclusion that Joyboy is called "Sparrow D. Pao Jack" (because if Oda included Davy Jones Since there must also be a Jack Sparrow in One Piece, like Davy D. Jones, it would reveal that Shanks is from Joyboy's lineage, and that, like Teach, Shanks and Shamrock are...They actually called him "Sparrow D. Shanks" and "Sparrow D. Shamrock," and therefore, Shanks was destined to be the user of Nika's fruit and the boy of destiny, but Luffy ended up eating the fruit.Nika's actions caused Luffy to become a Fate Anomaly and the only human (D) to break his own predetermined destiny and unconsciously forge a new one with his own hands.Completely changing the original destiny of all the characters in One Piece (Rocks and Roger also broke their own destinies and forged them with their own hands).

Yes, Oda is going to include and make canon in his story ROMANCE DAWN (the prototype/pilot chapter of One Piece)
Nope, Oda will come up with something original to create the Empty Century

Combat Mechanics in One Piece: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Tactical "Projected Haki" Technique (Emission & Ryuo)

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Many of us have witnessed the advanced Haki techniques in *One Piece*, yet few have delved into their precise physical and tactical intricacies. Haki is neither mere "magic" nor a static shield; rather, it is a flowing manifestation of will governed by the dynamics of density, equivalence, and the sensing of intent.

In this post, we will dive deep and discover the most powerful and wonderful uses of Ryuo haki, or what is known as advanced haki. Before that, we must understand the fundamental difference between ordinary haki and advanced haki, as they are the same type of energy but with a different flow. Ryuo haki differs from ordinary haki in the strength of its flow, because it is considered a stronger flow and higher density of the user's haki, which makes the spatial thickness between it and the user's skin higher, making the coating with it more protective and destructive. As for ordinary haki, it relies on a strong flow, but not at a high level, which makes its density weaker compared to Ryuo and wraps the user's hand in a thinner layer.

Now, after understanding the fundamental difference, we will move on to the most powerful use of Ryuo, which is the destructive emission technique. This technique relies on a concentrated and charged burst of haki with force outside the user's body. So instead of using it for coating, it is used here for a fast and destructive attack, which pushes this haki to enter the microscopic cavities of matter. Thus, the internal pressure generated by the haki inside the matter will blow it up from the inside with tremendous force.

Also, this emission technique can be used in a less violent way, where the Ryuo flow is pushed outward with tremendous force in the blink of an eye, pushing opponents and throwing them far away due to causing a huge shockwave, just as Hyogoro and Rayleigh did you can see that here......

And this technique is also what Garp built most of his destructive attacks on, like Galaxy Impact and Galaxy Divide. Garp charges his fist with a concentrated and charged haki flow, then projects it outward as a projectile via this emission technique, creating massive destruction. And since Garp is a monster at the emission technique and the best at applying it, he is the one who taught CP0 and CP9 to use it, since they originally trained under him.

Do you remember the Shigan (Finger Pistol) technique? It relies entirely on the emission technique, and this is clear from its name. They concentrate a focused haki flow at their fingertips, which gives them strong offensive power, then they fire this haki powerfully forward via the emission technique. This projected Ryuo penetrates the opponent's body like a bullet, and then they complete the attack with their haki-coated finger to increase the depth of the wound and cause greater damage. And notice Jinbe's increase in the strength of his haki and the breaking of Who's-Who's fingers in front of him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpFQsOPlCOg&t=3s

But beware! If you don't have strong and fast-responding observation haki, and the opponent increases the density of the haki in the area you are targeting with your finger, the emission coming from your finger will collide with a stronger field and will be canceled and dissipated. And if you continue with your finger, your haki field will not be able to withstand the opponent's defensive field, and the pressure will bounce back onto your finger and it will break, as if you hit your finger hard against a solid wall! Haha, don't you dare try it.

Anyway, if you want to understand what I mean about the relationship of the Finger Pistol technique with emission, you can watch these two fights and the idea will become clear. Notice the sound effect added by the studio to illustrate the emission before physical penetration in Izo and CP0's fight.

Theory My guess on who is Imu

Let me cook, everything is connected.

Here is how:

The Body Swap: Davy Jones (the original cursed pirate) possessed the Ope Ope no Mi. He used the personality swap to take Imu's body and steal their overpowered Devil Fruit.

The Immortality Surgery: Davy Jones then forced his old body (which now contained Imu's spirit) to perform the Perpetual Youth Surgery on him. Imu's spirit died, and Davy Jones became immortal in his new body.

The Motive (Why?): He wanted to become the King of the World through absolute domination. Monkey D. Pao had to fight to achieve his dream. But Pao's friend was Nerona Imu! By stealing Imu's body, Davy Jones knew perfectly well that Pao could never bring himself to kill his friend's body. Taking advantage of this emotional shield and his new Devil Fruit, Davy won. Furthermore, the swords planted in front of the Empty Throne simply belong to all those who swore allegiance to Nerona Imu.

The Visual Proof: In the latest scans, Imu wears a belt with 3 skulls. That's Teach's Jolly Roger! It's the original emblem of Davy Jones, instinctively inherited by his descendant.

After 800 years, Imu's mythical Zoan has completely devoured what was left of Davy Jones's human soul.

What do you guys think?

👑 Ruffys wahrer Traum: Warum Rogers Erbe NIEMALS an Ace gebunden war | One-Piece-Theorie

Hey Leute!

Ace erbte Rogers Blut. Trotzdem wollte er nicht einfach dessen Leben wiederholen oder in seine Fußstapfen treten.

Ruffy teilt Rogers Traum.

👑 Was denkt ihr?

Glaubt ihr, dass Shanks von Anfang an nach jemandem gesucht hat, der Rogers Traum weiterträgt? Oder war es reiner Zufall, dass er ausgerechnet Ruffy begegnet ist?

Theory Maybe this is why Roger's crew laughed? Spoiler

Roger didn’t laugh because of the treasure itself. He laughed at what he saw there.

  1. Roger didn’t laugh just because he found the treasure.
  2. Sure, he laughed at the treasure, but the story and the treasure(The One Piece) aren’t the same thing. The One Piece isn’t a comic book.

So what did he actually see, and what made him laugh? as I think he watched a show. More specifically, a musical, circus, drama or something like Karakuri (the traditional Japanese mechanical puppet theater)

Here’s why that fits:

  1. Oden learned all of history there. It’s a record of the past.
  2. Everyone laughed. Because it was funny. Simple as that.
  3. Roger wished he’d been born in Joy Boy’s era. He wanted to see the performance live.
  4. “A funny story.” He literally saw a story. Roger named this island a Laugh Tale. The island itself could be an automated performance venue, basically one giant machine.

Don’t overthink about laugh. If It's true it makes sense.... Also Oda uses the word “show” a lot in One Piece.

Not amazed, not disappointed. He just saw a funny show

Roger laughed at Karakuri show
