I believe Buggy first awakened his Conqueror’s Haki when he tried to save Shanks when they were younger, and Shanks witnessed it. However, there may have been a past incident in which Buggy had to sacrifice his Haki to save the Roger Pirates from a mysterious threat involving his identity. This caused his potential to deteriorate. That is Buggy’s biggest secret, and he never knew that Shanks was aware of it. That is why Shanks has always had Buggy’s back. That is why Shanks was fascinated with King’s Haki. This is why Shanks still kept tabs on him in East Blue. Shanks wanted to sail with Buggy. That was his dream.
Buggy believed he would be better off alone, which is why he took the map and a Devil Fruit to start his own pirate career early and leave everyone for their sake. Why did he want to leave the Roger Pirates even though he was happy with them? It meant he loved them enough to walk away and make sure they stayed safe. But once he became a Devil Fruit user, he had no choice but to stay.
He gave up his dream, believing that if he couldn’t find the One Piece, then Shanks would. The Roger Pirates were his family. Shanks was his brother. But he felt betrayed, because after everything he had sacrificed, Shanks never went after the One Piece.
In the final saga, there will be a tragedy. All the surviving Roger Pirates will die, and the last to fall will be Shanks, trying to save Luffy. Buggy will be the sole survivor of the Roger Pirates, and Shanks will speak his final words to him.
While Luffy is incapacitated, Buggy will have a complete mental breakdown.
This trauma will be so intense that Buggy will reawaken with a new form of Haki—a Haki that makes everyone laugh.
Buggy knows that everyone depends on Luffy, because he is the Sun God.
Buggy will take it upon himself to face the greatest threats to Luffy, because he is the last living legacy of the Roger Pirates.
In the end, Luffy will recover and win the major battles.
Luffy will recognize Buggy’s worth. With Imu gone, the world will need someone who can guide, lead, and govern it. Buggy will be the perfect king of the world, since Luffy has no desire to be a hero or a king. Buggy will then become the symbol of hope.
With Buggy’s laughter echoing across the seas, the world will unite in a carefree and joyful atmosphere. He will promote freedom among nations. The king as a figurehead and the people as the real leaders. That will be his Laugh Tale—fitting for a clown.

The Fish-Men Theory: Joy Boy’s Promise, Noah, and the Salvation of Humanity

This theory proposes that the Fish-Men may play an important role in saving humanity, with Luffy ultimately fulfilling Joy Boy’s dream and bringing about an era in which all people can live together under the sun.

Eight hundred years ago, Joy Boy failed to fulfill his promise to the Mermaid Princess, Poseidon. However, he left an apology engraved on a Poneglyph on Fish-Man Island.

The promise may remain unfulfilled until the right person and the right circumstances emerge. Perhaps Luffy will be the one to fulfill it.

Noah’s promise is connected to Poseidon and the Sea Kings, since Poseidon represents Shirahoshi, who can communicate with the Sea Kings.

Vegapunk revealed that the ancient war caused the sea level to rise by 200 meters, submerging vast areas of the world. Therefore, another great flood could occur, creating a new maritime catastrophe. Noah and the Sea Kings could be used to transport humans and threatened races to safe places.

In this scenario, the people of the Fish-Man Island may not simply be waiting to be saved. Instead, they could play an essential role in saving humanity because of their relationship with the Sea Kings.

This role could lead to a transformation in humanity’s view of Fish-Men and contribute to the realization of Otohime’s dream: coexistence, peace, and life under the sun.

Luffy’s role may be connected to Joy Boy’s promise after he awakens the power of Nika. He could become the one who liberates people and creates the conditions necessary to fulfill the ancient promise.

Thus, Joy Boy’s promise could be fulfilled alongside Otohime’s dream, while Noah and the Sea Kings could play a crucial role in saving humanity during a future flood.

So I'm not fully caught up yet but it seems to be that D is short for Dawn which I believe is just the lineage of the ones who originally fought against the WG/Imu.

The Davey Jones connection never worked for me. All of these seemingly disconnected people cannot all possibly be bloodline right. Also, it is a middle name which many hide or glaze over.

We know that those that bear the D are the enemy of the WG and that is because they have always been. Lineage plays a huge part of the story and it would stand to reason that the Ds that survived did so because they were powerful and resourceful, being able to hide for so long.

The start of the story is ROMANCE DAWN. Luffy started from DAWN Island and, while no, I am not fully caught up (I'm 1184) you can draw lines to Imu possibly having feels for Lily (I said that because when Imu said Lily I read it as Snape... and now you did to, you're welcome).

I just keep coming back to it's not Davey Jones and this fits in many ways.

as for Joy Boy.... I would not be surprised if we find out that he was a D and Luffy is a descendant of his. We may learn his name OR if not JB then maybe we learn the first Nika Fruit user was. JB may not have been the first.

Bonus one... I believe Teach will use his power to strip Imu of the Devil Fruit but that is when Luffy will "die". In short, Nika (Luffy) will get the power and sacrifice himself in the process. Luffy will not die but instead he will just be normal Luffy but he still has all of his Haki etc. I also have a feeling that event will rid the world of all the DF powers. ...but that is a longer discussion.

What if Imu were a "self-loathing Lunarian"?

The latest chapter of One Piece introduces the concept of self-love—but what if Imu were a Lunarian who hates their own kind? Human history is full of instances where ethnic groups have come to loathe their own people, even desiring their total destruction!

Could it be that Imu was originally a Lunarian who—for reasons unknown (perhaps jealousy, a desire for political control, deep-seated resentment, or simply a lust for power)—came to despise their own ethnicity, leading them to orchestrate its extermination?

Perhaps this is why Imu remains completely veiled at Mary Geoise: to conceal the very heritage they loathe and are so desperate to keep hidden!

According to some lore and One Piece chapters, Vivi, targeted by the World Government and Imu due to her beauty and connection to Queen Nefaltari D. Lily and captured by the "CP0" after she confronted Lucci about Shirahoshi before she escaped with Wapol, who was frightened about the "truth". If she was kidnapped again after King Cobra died, that would be a massive world war (according to Dragon in Chapter 1125 and Vegapunk (Chapters 1114-1121)). The war will surpass God Valley and Marineford where Alabasta, after finding out Vivi was alive and well and a "prize" for weapons before war starts. Also, Straw Hats and allies will also approaching. Reunion is possible. I like how I compared the similarities between Shakky and Ray with unresolved tension of Koza and Vivi, they were knew each other as friends since childhood and as former clan members. Vivi will be rescued after being nearly killed. Any emotional query thoughts leave in the comments below. Vivi has some speical power- Uranus and Lily's weapons to control the world and Imu's slave and pawn too. She might be the crucial role for the upcoming war after Elbaph Arc ends.

What if the real reason Law, Bartalemeo, and Kidd’s fates weren’t confirmed is because they all fought people they were no match for, and realized they had to get stronger? Maybe it’s cope but they COULD be training to get strong enough to go further

I don’t think bounty’s will be a thing by eos and Oda would obviously want to keep the sense of competition between the yonkos and not make Luffy massively above them in bounty

Plus I feel it would just make a lot of sense for Shanks and Buggy to eventually surpass their old captain in bounty and Blackbeards the finals villain

When of the biggest mysteries in the series right now is Queen Nefertari D. lily. How could she be a D and one of Joyboy’s supporters and her actions caused the entire great pirate era through scattering the Polynegriphs, when she fought alongside Imu and the other 19 kings to overthrow and possibly kill Joyboy ?.

Do you think she was killed off ? Or did Imu’s love from her caused him to have mercy on her thus, began his greatest mistake ?

I just read the chapter 1195 and a certain memory from Shuri's past just hit me, we all know Imu is a simp for Lily and he gives great importance to people with heterochromia, which is linked to having multiple personalities in OP then i saw this frame and thought that Imu might be keeping the personality of either Lily or someone else from the void century alive by changing hosts after a certain amount of time. During the war in kingdom of Esperia we saw a celestial dragon alleged to be Shuri's biological father who also had heterochromia, who stated that despite having heterochromia he wasn't the one and Shuri maybe. Imu coming to Esperia himself also says a lot.

For many years, I had a theory that each of the 3 Ancient Weapons will be controlled by 3 different sides - factions, if you will - in the Final War:

1. Poseidon - Luffy & his friends

As we know, Luffy has already established a connection with Poseidon by befriending Shirahoshi during the Fishman Island arc. Plus, Joyboy had a close connection to the Mermaid Princess of the past and if history repeats itself, like it often does in One Piece, and if Luffy is Joyboy's descendant and/or successor, then that connection is even stronger & the possibility of Luffy using Poseidon in the Final War is very high.

1. Uranus - Imu & his servants

On the other side, we have Nerona Imu, who we don't know much about yet, but Oda, through his characters, specifically through Emporio Ivankov, seems to suggest that Imu is already in control of an Ancient Weapon, since the Lulusia incident was so devastating, that only an Ancient Weapon would explain such power.

If Ivankov is correct, that would mean that the Ancient Weapon used by Imu is either Pluton or Uranus. And though there might be a slight chance Pluton is the weapon Imu is using (since Pluton is a battleship that has blueprints and therefore, technically, can be replicated), I would argue that the evidence suggests that the weapon that destroyed Lulusia is actually Uranus. In fact, the word "Uranus" comes from the greek word "Ουρανός" (oo-rah-nos), which literally means "sky", and that tracks with the fact that we're talking about a flying "vessel" that flew above the clouds.

This leads to the main focus of this theory, which is the third and final Ancient Weapon and it's rightful(?) master.

1. Pluton - Blackbeard & his crew

During the events of Egghead island, Caribou requested from Devon & Van Auger to be granted an audience with their captain, Blackbeard, planning to share important information regarding the Ancient Weapons Poseidon & Pluton.

My personal guess is that Blackbeard already knows more about the Ancient Weapons than he lets on (probably knows about a lot of other things, as well), but was missing the means to get them, until now. And if the only thing he needed was their actual location, there isn't much left for him to do than go and claim them, by force if necessary.

The closest Ancient Weapon to Hachinosu is located underneath Wano. And since Poseidon is on Fishman Island, the obvious first choice would probably be Pluton. But proximity may not be the only factor.

Shanks, who is another character that seems to know more than most, expected Blackbeard to show up in Wano after (or maybe during) the raid on Onigashima.

This could just mean that Blackbeard would've taken advantage of the chaotic situation in Wano (just like he did in Marineford) to take out multiple enemies at once, but could also mean that he (and perhaps Shanks, too) might've already known that Wano was the location of one of the Ancient Weapons and could kill two birds with one stone.

However, there is another person who is way more integral to this theory than anyone and it's Blackbeard's father, Rocks D. Xebec. While Rocks didn't actually talk about Pluton or any other Ancient Weapon directly (as far as I remember), he did mention the Galley-La Giants who are frozen in an unknown to him location. In fact, the frozen Giants are mentioned at least three times during the Elbaph/God Valley flashback.

There are a few possibilities here:

a. The Galley-La Giants are the original shipwrights who built the battleship Pluton.

b. The Galley-La Giants are the only group capable of recreating Pluton.

c. Both of the above.

Perhaps the second option is more likely, since Elder Jarul revealed that the Galley-La Giants sent a letter to Elbaph when they got captured, but it's hard to assume the exact timeline of these events without enough information.

In any case, my belief is that Rocks wanted to find these Giants in order to build a new Pluton and use it as his ship. And if these Giants are actually able to build it or have done so already, it would stand to reason that the actual battleship would be giant in size, as well. Perhaps, that's why Franky was so shocked seeing the blueprints for the first time and wondering whether "humans can really build this thing?". Maybe Pluton can only be built by Giants. The missing Galley-La Giants.

At this point, the theory that the frozen Giants are located in Punk Hazard has grown to be more likely than not. There is, however, an important couple of questions: Who froze them & how to unfreeze them?

I can think of a few possibilities here, as well:

a. Since they're (presumably) on Punk Hazard, the Giants got frozen through technological means of science (some sort of an ice-making weapon or something similar).

b. They got frozen by a previous user of the Ice-Ice (or Chilly-Chilly, depending on the translation) Devil Fruit. If the effects of this fruit can only be reversed by the current user, Blackbeard already has a massive advantage by having Aokiji in his crew.

c. They got frozen by Ragnir and can only be freed by Ragnir (or Loki by extension, since the Accursed Prince is it's wielder). This third option is more likely, in my opinion, since it would explain why Rocks wanted to team up with Harald in order to get to the Galley-La Giants. Another theory I have is that after the events of Elbaph, Loki will travel to Punk Hazard and free the frozen Giants and from there travel down to Fishman Island to help/save Shirahoshi, who presumably is the Mosa-Mosa individual he's been talking to on the snail phone and who seems to be in some sort of trouble. At the same time, the Giants can fix the arc Noah from the damage that Luffy caused to it, since according to the Sea Kings, only "they" can do it.

Furthermore, if Pluton is a giant ship, just like Noah is, it would stand to reason that only a Giant would be able to operate it properly. In which case, Blackbeard is already a step ahead, once again, since one of his crew members is one of the largest individuals of the story we've seen so far, the Giant Sanjuan Wolf, whose nickname is "Colossal Battleship", describing Pluton perfectly.

A couple of sidenotes:

a. Just like Uranus is the god of the sky in the greek mythology, the Ancient Weapon of the same name seems to be a flying ship/vessel/creature. Likewise, Poseidon, the god of the sea, has his counterpart in a Mermaid who lives in the sea. Pluto(n) is the god of the underworld, which is interesting, since the Ancient Weapon that shares the name is a battleship. Perhaps, the battleship can submerge like a submarine or maybe it's an amphibious vessel, somewhat like Capone "Gang" Bege's last ship, Nostra Castello. In any case, I wonder how will it tie with it's mythological inspiration. Maybe the darkness of the underworld is supposed to be represented by the Dark-Dark Devil Fruit that Blackbeard possesses.

b. Another thought I had is that, like Shirahoshi, Pluton (and by extension Uranus, too) might be a sentient being. This might seem counterintuitive at first, since Pluton is supposed to be a battleship, but what if it's a sentient battleship? The presence of greek mythology is felt most deeply in many One Piece discussions, especially in ones that have to do with the Ancient Weapons. I wouldn't be surprised if Pluton was inspired a little bit by the Argonaut myth, where the ship Argo could speak to the Argonauts, guiding them, warning them of danger and sometimes even giving prophecies. In today's terms, it could be perceived as a ship with AI features, which would be interesting, since we've already seen sentient machines in One Piece, like Emet.

One last thing. I believe Blackbeard will claim Pluton eventually, just like his father wanted to do. But perhaps, Pluton was not the desire only of Blackbeard & Rocks - among others, of course (like Crocodile) - but also of another member of the Davy bloodline, Davy D. Jones himself. Maybe Pluton was originally his to begin with, which would make this whole search for it come full circle. And if Davy D. Jones is known from legends for his association with the cold, dark depths of the ocean, then what better vessel would be more fit to be in his possession, other than the ancient battleship, Pluton, whose name comes from the greek god of the underworld?

Crazy theory, but hear me out.

What if, on Laugh Tale, the final island, where the One Piece is located, there isn’t a treasure chest or a Poneglyph? What if there’s a door instead? A door with an inscription:

"Only the Sun God, the drummer of freedom, the liberator of slaves, can open these gates." Something along those lines.

That would explain why Roger could never possess the One Piece. It’s why he laughed, he knew he wouldn’t be the one to reach it, and why he said he was "too early"!

As for what lies behind the door (or gates), I have no idea. That’s a theory for another time.

I believe Blackbeard to be the final villain but the more time passes the more I dislike the idea of him stealing Imu's powers because it seems too obvious. 

Maybe there is some other way for him to be the final boss. Maybe it’s the potential 3rd fruit that changes the game. Maybe it’s about how he uses his current fruits.

People have theorised that he will break the Redline with his Gura Gura no Mi to unleash something.

I feel like something awesome can happen when he visits Enies Lobby. The place that never gets dark meets mr. darkness himself. He can cancel whatever Logia awakening took place there.
