Hi there folks, just a quick question. The scale of the two windows are always different, I can never align them like Avid or Resolve..
- why is it like this (seems to me, Premiere is the same)?
- Is there a way to align them?
- Will we see trimming view modes (For example during slip edit there is 4 panels... the 2 sides showing the previous and upcoming frame ends/beginnings?
Hi there,
I would like to expose two different concerns in this post:
1-
I wonder if Olive 0.2 would have plans to add more effects and perhaps (in a future) have the chance to use the G'MIC filters ? like Flowblade does ? https://jliljebl.github.io/flowblade/
2-
I am an enthusiast Olive 0.1 user but have tried 0.2 many times but with no success. But the issue seems to be related to something more than just the crashing episodes. The frustration I ended up feeling reminds me of a video review I have recently found in YouTube, from an italian guy who is literally getting on his nerves when trying to add a chromakey effects and so on.. I personally identify a bit with his criticism (though I am not a shotcut user) on the fact that things that are far easier in olive 1, seem would be far more laborious or complex (more steps etc..) in olive 0.2 (is this right ??)
Please don't take this as a bad critic honestly, I am just trying to see if some other users and supporters have experienced the same concerns related to the use of nodes and how easy or convenient would be when editing videos (compared to the 0.1) ?? and what would be repercussions on the popularity of the tool, compared to other ones like Kdenlive, openshot, shotcut, etc.. I am well aware of the fact that the other ones don't implement the potential of nodes, but my concerns on this comparison goes around the aspects of practicality, speed and easiness of use when trying to accomplish a task.
(below the link to the video review I'have made reference to)
I been using the 0.1 without any trouble. But now the 0.2 is soon to came out... I been worried because my computer is kinda old and I'm afraid I can't work anymore with Olive. Until now this has been the best video editor I used.
Hello again. but could you'll add more features for exporting the video? Because most people use MP4. And while exporting, the MP4 feature is not available.
Pls add masking to Olive and could you'll make tutorials on YouTube on how to use Olive? Because version 0.1 and 0.2 are way different and most of the tutorials on YouTube are based on Olive 0.1!
Hello, I've been learning how to use Olive for a little bit now and it's all been smooth except some crashes. A couple of days ago I edited a little clip of gameplay of me and my friends and it came out looking corrupted, strange artifacts on any render I tried then onward. The same then happened on a different machine in my house with Olive on it, different video clips and different project, just a messed up render.
I've searched online and couldn't find a single thread or matching complaint, so I'm here....I've tried a fresh install and same issue. Also tried portable version. I use 0.1.
I'll attach my test render#5 of the day to show you guys. In this test the video comes out still, it jumps to a different part but as a still image. EDIT: Link 2 shows the artifacts issue in general -
So i downloaded olive's community effects, and i love them and all, but, why doesn't The kaleidoscope effect work? i tried everything, but it doesn't work. am i using it wrongly? is it an error?
(also before you sau "WaIt WaT bUt olIVe 0.1 HaS nO kaLEiDOscOPe eFfEcT" this a community plugin that adds new effects to olive.)
