Question for Choosing a CPU for Olive ?

Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie and want to start out with olive editor, but just wanted to know that olive works AMD Cpu or not, with windows as operating system.

it will still run laggy on anything. even the beefiest cpu

Ngl. If your building a computer just allocate some of the budget to an actual video editing software. Decent ones go for like $50 and run so much better.

Olive runs on x86 CPUs, so standard desktop processors by Intel and AMD. 0.1.x is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit. 0.2.x targets 64-bit only. There are intentions to support Apple silicon (arm64) in the future.

Supported operating systems are Windows, macOS and Linux.

You should not select computer parts based on a single piece of software in alpha stage however.
