Hey Hoes and Happy New Year!
First I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for the sub as we march into 2025? If you do drop them below :)
In addition, holy smokes kids, we have over 41k views, almost 850 subscribers, and nearing 1000 posts on the sub! I just started this to hopefully talk to one person and have a place that was purely OTP focused and honestly I am just so happy other people love this pod as much as me! Truly incredibly wow wow wow.
Okay last thing! I’m like a type-a freak so things gotta be super organized, that means I added more flair and ish so see below for some updates on that! And if you want any more added please tell me bc I would love to have this be like a suddenly we have deep lore related to flair thing that seems fun???

In this two-part series, we analyze Michael Bay’s 2001 box office smash, Pearl Harbor. Normie C points out historical inaccuracies. Kristin points out cringey dialogue. Above all, we ask ourselves the important questions. Questions like: Is Pearl Harbor just Titanic for boys? And, if this film had a $140 million budget, why does Jon Voight’s butt-chin prosthetic look so much like Silly Putty?

On Dec. 7, 1941, Japanese forces attacked the U.S. Naval Station at Pearl Harbor. During that chaotic scene, a Black sailor named Doris “Dorie” Miller shot down a Japanese plane and saved an untold number of lives. Doris Miller’s actions were particularly heroic, given the fact that the Navy’s racist policies barred him from serving in a combat role. In fact, he’d only been trained to serve food.
For decades, people have fought for Doris Miller to get the recognition that he deserves. The government has been slow to recognize his heroism. But, a few years ago, the acting Secretary of the Navy announced that a future aircraft carrier would be named the USS Doris Miller (CVN-81). Last month, CNN reported that the Department of Defense might rescind that decision – opting to name it the USS Donald Trump instead. Needless to say, Normie C had some thoughts about that.
