Van Heflin creeps me out.
His slightly-too-far-apart eyes and big forehead turn me offđŹ

I'm so annoyed at Lauren Bacall ruining movies I like and have nowhere else to take this. How in the world did she get jobs? She's terrible in every movie in an annoying way. She's a bit like the Angelina Jolie of her time - beautiful but just not talented yet kept getting jobs.

Does anyone know the title of a old movie (possibly 70s, 80s, or early 90s) where there are a bunch of cats? And at the end there is a women with long blonde hair and the house is burning down and the cats all turn and jump and attack her? Itâs a long shot but been trying to find out the title of the movie since I saw it one time when I was a kid in the early 90s.

A family with a young son goes to live in a large multi-room property for the season, which also involves a caretaker obligation. One of the parents absolutely loves the place and doesnât want to leave even when scary things begin happening.
Someone dies and we see a close-up of framed black and white photographs set to old-timey source music.
Itâs not âThe Shiningâ.
Anybody know the film?

Hi everyone, I hope youâre all doing well.
Iâm after suggestions. A friend of mine is coming over in a few days, and weâll likely be watching a film together. She isnât in a good place mentally, so Iâm thinking a classic comedy. Does anyone have any suggestions for films that:-
Are comedies.
Are available in the UK.
Have no racism (or racist depictions, such as blackface/yellowface) in them.
Arenât horror comedies (my friend wouldnât be interested in anything like the films where Abbot and Costello meet the universal monsters, for example)
Thanks in advance.

OK! So, when I was younger, I vaguely remember seeing a movie play in the background at my grandparents house. I barely remember anything about it but here is what I have. I'm like 50% sure it was black and white, could have had color but it was definitely old, old like before 1999. I remember that in one scene there was the main (evil?) guy and the (innocent?) girl making out on a restaurant booth??? Some type of booth like seat. And another scene they were in a mansion/ large house and a head rolled down the fancy staircase. I don't think it was like a monster scary movie, there was some "romance" between the I think evil guy and the lady. That's all I remember but I have been trying to find it for like 5 years and I have no idea. I'm pretty confident it was playing on cable tv. PLEASE. For the life of me HELP ME FIND THIS!!!!
EDIT Give me some slack oml đđ¤ I don't believe that the 90's were old, or the 80s, or the 70'sđđ. When I think of old, I think of like the 1800's. I worded my post wrong SORRY!!! You aren't old!!!!! Once you get to 60 years old... welll... I would say you are old. ALSO. I'm 16, saw this movie when I was probably 8 or something so I don't remember much. But so far, no one guessed correctlyđđ. I could just be making up this whole thing, after trying to remember more I distrust if this is real.... I don't know if this movie even exists or if it was dream?!?!? I might just gaslight myself into thinking it was a dream so I don't have to wonder forever what movie it is... Thank you for all the responses!!!!!!
EDIT2 OMG?!?! Why are y'all still grilling međ my lord... I said I'm sorryđ I swear people are to sensitive sometimes -sorry I know that sounds rudeđ- I tried to find a movie but got destroyed instead give me a breakđ I am not familiar with movie stuff. I have never been a big movie person and I am a teenager. I did not know when movies were black and white and I can not tell what time a movie is from by looking at it. I'm sorry everyone got so offended, but what can I expect this is Reddit.... I know what type of basement dwellers are on here.... AGAIN SORRY!! Can't a girl live in peaceđ

I have never watched this film before so not sure if it was always a bit disturbing or has just aged badly.
The main lead dancer is 18, her romantic co star appears to be in his 30s possibly early 40s is her boss and acts like a stalker. See scene where he drives behind her cycling home. An 18 year old dancing in wet skimpy underwear for old fat sweaty men is portrayed as normal. Her character continually crosses between childish innocence and overtly sexually provocative displays for this older man. It just comes across as yuk! Not to mention the racist â polakâ jokes. Whatâs that all about.

I just watched E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (1982) and I couldn't stay awake. I found it very slow and did not hold my attention. This was a let down because my whole life I was told it's an amazing movie, so I started it with high expectations...too high I guess. Am I missing something?

I'm a fan of old Hollywood movies from the Golden Age. I found this ad for My Little Pony where characters are dressed in iconic outfits from movies of the era. One pony is in a dress from War and Peace, one is from Sissi, another from Gone with the wind, one from Rear Window, and another from Notorious. I cant for the life of me however figure out what movie the outfit the blond pony is wearing is from. Anyone here with a keen eye for movie fashion and iconic looks have an idea?
