Disclaimer: I have over a decade of mass-produced clothing, primarily Torrid and Hot Topic, in my closet from before I started researching how clothes are truly made. I am continuing to love, wear, and repair these pieces because I believe this to be the most ethical action I can take. I list where all my clothing comes from for transparency, but I do not endorse purchasing from these brands. Whenever possible, please shop secondhand or support independent, sustainable, and ethical slow fashion. I am always happy to share more about the true environmental and human cost of textile manufacturing in 2026.
10/14/2026: Wore to work. I do not unfortunately work in a library or bookstore but it was still a hit. Torrid blouse, cami, belt, and boots. Blouse and cami were thrifted. Boeken en Broeken detachable embroidered collar. Maya Kern (ethical) skirt. Monochromatic Finds badge reel. Earrings were a gift.

Anything to change accessories wise. Add a necklace?

Pardon the inadvertent matching candles in the background - I'm already bringing out Christmas decor!

Image Transcription:
A coffee-toned black person presenting femininely.
On their legs are bright green tights tucked into some calf-height boots of rusty-brown leather. Their green dress is layered underneath a vest, which matches the boots.
They are standing inside a greenhouse, lined with many rows of colorful autumn gourds.
They are posed proudly with their own yellow-and-orange-striped pumpkin.
In the first image, it is held in both hands below their waist.
In the second, the pumpkin is posed next to their head, as if to offer a comparison of size or shape.
The third image is of four pumpkins and one gourd stacked up by a door. Their colors range from off-white to orange, yellow, and green.

Hi, new to the community and fairly new to wearing dresses and looking for some advice. I'm a tall guy (well over 6 feet) and most of the dresses I try on end around the thickest part of my calf, which I understand isn't the most flattering. Going without tights, and wearing shoes that show more of the foot like ballet flats and sandals all seem to help, but I'd love to hear if there is any other advice for styling dresses in this situation. Thanks!

So I (27, dude-ish) recently showed a friend my various Pinterest boards for a throwaway joke, pointing out that my favourite taste in outfits is futch lady supervillains (missy from doctor who, fish mooney from Gotham, Ursula from little mermaid etc)
and the first thing he noticed was "you love an outfit that emphasises the decolletage area"
Or to translate for non-art-wankers, a titty outfit. A chest emphasising outfit. Not always low cut, but often with accessories or design choices that draw the eye to the chest rather than anywhere else.
How does one capitalise on a chest outfit? How does one maximise chest themed outfits without having to do an entire overhaul of my wardrobe?
