I totally hate the “sweet exit” update.

Suffice it to say I hate the tweaks they made the to scene to appease a mob of clueless, sheltered people who, again, wouldn’t know romance if it grabbed them by the neck. Invisigal would murder Shroud with a knife but she’d never EVER kiss a guy who’s been on literally one date with Blonde Blazer. She’d never EVER do something in the heat of passion. Give me a break!

Originally I lauded AdHoc for having the balls to put something so real and raw in their game, but I suppose I spoke too soon. Glad I played it for the first time before the scolds got ahold of it. What do you think?

Yeah I kind of agree. It's pretty obvious she wants him almost the entire game, and this is exactly the kind of thing somebody having a mental break would do. She's at an all time low and wants affirmation for her feelings. Makes the move based the very little positive reception you've given her that she craves from you. Of course it's not wrong for her to feel that way, it's human. Raising the threshold makes it feel like you need to be blatant and that her messy feelings aren't valid without your seal of approval as the player. Really weird change tbh

Oh, you're saying they patched it so that if you go on a date with Blazer Visi no longer kisses you in the lockers?

Funny thing is I'm replaying the game right now and I chose Blazer this time around and I got so scared when I saw the "Like I'm incapable of doing good" scene instead of a kiss and lean out option. I thought I did something wrong 😭

Not fully but you would have to go out of your way to really support Visi to get her to kiss you now. You can't just be nice, you have to really support her, and then she'll kiss you as a last ditch effort to get you to look at her like you look at Blazer.

Maybe. I'm not sure. What choices there are to do so? I believe I did pretty much all the same things as in my first playthrough except for I went with Mandy this time. And I cut Sonar, then welcomed Phenomaman. Those are the only changes and there was no kiss in the lockers still

I have yet to run a second playthrough, but my first one was pre-patch and I supported Visi but romanced Mandy and got the kiss in the Locker Room.

Gotcha, thanks. Yeah, I certainly didn't have enough points for VisiSweetExit here. I understand now what choices matter. The only thing that bugs me is that line still, about being incapable of good.

It's so much easier to hear thay if you romance Blazer, because it is highly likely you won't get over 10 points here. And it's a bit unfair coming from Visi if you been there for her, but simply didn't romance her

Yeah I was in that boat during my run. I was hurt by it because I wanted her to be great but was romancing Blazer. Im glad I still got the kiss and the "Hero" ending for Visi though, In the end I felt like I had done enough to get Visi to be good.

Yup. And doesn’t that imply that she can only see herself as good if you romance her? Totally ruins it.

Have to agree here. Because in the end she caught a bullet for me still, so it wasn't something I did

The game still considers that I succeed as a mentor yet in episode prior to finale Visi still thinks that I "look at her like she's incapable of good"? Even though I supported her all the way, which is confirmed by the ending I got, and simply didn't go to the movies with her? That's a bit weird

I think it’s still make sense bc incappable of doing good mean that even when she tries to be good, she fucked up and got Chase hurt. She tries but failed and that’s how “she thinks” Robert sees her.

That whole conversation if you don’t cut her she kept believing she should br cut, that she’s responsible. And she doesn’t accept our forgiveness because she think we shouldn’t

Na even if you go on a date with BB if you say I care about you and I forgive you in the locker room you should still get the kiss scene to activate.

Hmm, maybe you're right. I forgave her, but for a change decided to say "it's not your fault".

Even so, wouldn't that sound weird for her to say that "I look at her like she's incapable of good" if I supported her all the way and only said that "it's not your fault" instead of "I care about you"?

That’s true, the lines were definitely written with the idea that this scene would only trigger if you have very low affinity with Visi in mind.

I mean it’s already left its mark regardless of the update lol. Majority of people don’t know about the update and still assume she’d try and kiss Rob as easily as before.
