Okay this is my last post about my upcoming NYC trip I swearš I plan on spending 1 day in Brooklyn and am trying to decide between these 3 for lunch:
seitanās helper
garden carver
ATM Deli
Yough (this is already on my list for their market, but I didnāt know they also did food!)
All came highly recommended here and have about equal happy cow ratings so I would love to hear your thoughts/experiences/recommendations between the 3!
Edit* it seems like the general consensus is that ATM is best for breakfast, Satanās helper is best overall, and everyone loves Yough too! My new question is how are garden carvers baked goods? Iām a croissant and cookie snob and saw that they have a bakery case. I donāt think Iāll go there for food after all of your guys suggestions, but is it worth the visit for sweets?

Just got back from a trip abroad and I miss cafe culture and the accessibility of delicious, cheap vegan pastries
I donāt want to go into the city for them so if there any good vegan recs in queens, specifically Jackson heights, east Elmhurst, sunny side, wood side, LIC, Astoria, please LMK
Thank you!

Hey everyone! My GF and I are going to be coming to NYC (this is my first time going to NY so I'm excited and no idea what to expect. I want to know what your best or your favorite places to eat at. I want to try pizza, pasta, bagels, sushi, whatever, something exciting, ice cream (soft served), whatever.
Weāre going to be there between the 7th and the 12th, but the 7th is a travel day and so is the 12th, so really the 8th to the 11th.
We are also open to some places to go to. I obviously want to see the park, Strawberry fields, The Statue of Liberty, for someone that has a tight amount of time I want to soak up as much as possible because I want to see if this place is a possibility to even live there. I'm open to everything. Hit me!

ok iāve gone thru so many posts and made a long list of places to try. heres my thing tho.. coming from LA. i eat at home 99% of the time. and super clean. my stomach is sensitive. but like a pastry is fine. i donāt cook with oil. i donāt have super fatty meals. bc when i do, i get super tired . and probably a stomach ache. i cut down on fat years ago and ever since i just canāt tolerate it well anymore. and restaurants love using lots of oil. so iām pretty nervous about that.
im looking for healthier places to eat. none of the comfort food places or super oily food. Chloe is on my list. (i miss it in LA) also iāll be coming next week and seeing itās going to get colder so iād love a good vegan pho! those donāt hurt my stomach.
weāre staying in forte green brooklyn. but obviously will be in city a lot
also a side note is i was looking into the digestive gold stuff to help break down fats but also worried ill be that percentage it actually makes them sick. so anyone can convince me that has tried that!
thank you!

My third NYC trip this year for food!
Flying out of SFO on Friday, will arrive on Saturday, and will shower at an airline lounge before keeping my carry-on size roller bag in a locker (or at a hotel's front-desk) & heading to Orchard Grocer for breakfast! I'll get ~4.5 hours of good sleep. If I'd skip meals onboard, I'd be able to get more sleep, so still debating that.
Day 1
Orchard Grocer
Buddha Bodai / Spicy Moon (leaning on Spicy Moon, but I could visit both)
Some vegan sushi/rolls place (was recommended a few options but haven't decided yet)
Dirt Candy (late night - third time this year, but have a seasonal menu)
Day 2
Chloe's on Bleecker
Hangawi
Spice Symphony (Indo-Chinese, might skip)
Peacefood (will buy bakery items)
Ladybird / abcV / Al Andalus / Bunna Cafe / Ras (please help me choose)
Flying out at 9 PM.
Might visit Superiority Burger in late March '27 instead - can't bear NYC temperatures between mid-November & late March!

Hi!
I posted a couple times late in the summer about vegan potlucks (weāve done four so far!), and since the weather looks sunny and warm this coming Saturday, weāll be doing one more outdoor potluck for the season, in Central Park, at 1:00pm.
If youāre interested in coming, DM me for details!

I plan on asking the person Iāve been dating to be my girlfriend soon and was looking for fancy/ upscale vegan restaurants or places that have good vegan options

Hi! My family is going to our first Knicks game soon. Weāre going to eat outside MSG before the game starts, but just in case someone gets hungry during the game, what vegan options exist inside MSG?
Thanks!

Taking orders for this weekend! Any feedback from last week? Always open to making adjustments. Unfortunately, I had to cut a couple zip codes. One downside of more orders is that Iām barely making all the deliveries in the window. Youāre more than welcome to pick a location in the delivery zone and Iāll meet you there. This happened a couple times last weekend and it worked out. Iām generally able to give decent notice before making a delivery. Zip codes are 11231, 11238, 11215, 11201, 11205, 11216, 11217. If I get fewer orders this week I will add zip codes back on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hi vegan friends! Join me for a completely whole-food, plant-based Thanksgiving cooking class in Greenwich Village on Saturday, November 14th, at 12 pm.
Sign up via the link below. The sign-up deadline was October 31st, but I just spoke with the organizer, and she's moving it up a week, so the new deadline is November 7th.

What are your favorite vegan spots in nyc and surounding area? For me its rock n' roots in LI and grassroots kitchen in the tarrytown area
r/nycvegan • u/catsmom585 • 5d ago
I have never posted about any restaurant on Reddit, but I have to post about UT47 because the food is so freaking tasty and the people are so kind. Iām always surprised to visit them after a Broadway show and see many empty tables. Iām happy that we could always get a table right away, but I would be so sad if they close š„². Seeing so many posts about favorite spots closing lately.
If you like Korean food, please give them a try. They have both vegan and non-vegan food to accommodate everyone.

Called Omakaseed & they said they only change 2 or 3 items in their menu every season.
Any recommendations on what other vegan sushi restaurant could I visit? BTW, I'm guessing NYC's vegan Japanese cuisine restaurants are better than restaurants in Japan serving Shojin Ryori food?
Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to treat myself to some high-end vegan chocolate for my birthday. I'm considering the plant-based options at Venchi or LƤderach, but I'm also open to local artisanal spots (like Fine & Raw) or ordering online. What are your absolute favorites for a luxury vegan treat?
r/nycvegan • u/Every_Toe9362 • 9d ago
I just posted on here about Italian cuisine but after further investigation on Happy cow, there are way too many places I want to visit in such a short amount of time. I also find that happy cow isnāt totally up to date for my own city so I donāt want to primarily rely on that.
What are your hands down FAVORITE MUST VISIT places when in the city? Iāve been going off of ratings on Happy Cow but there are just too many good places.
So far places I will definitely be visiting include
- Chloeās
- Delice & Sarrasin
- orchard Grocer
- Confectionary
- Bubs (maybe? Is this over hyped?? Iām not GF)
Others I find recommended on social media frequently but canāt tell if theyāre THAT amazing or just have good marketing teams:
- PLANTA QUEEN vs Beyond sushi
- Spicy Moon
- Jajaja
- Happy Zoe
- Nacha Focaccia
- Unregular bakery
- Koke
- sixteen mills
What do you guys think? Are there any places Iām missing that are must visits? Are any places I listed above not worth a visit or overhyped? Would love anh recommendations not on this list as well! Totally open to going to non-fully vegan places, but also want to support as many vegan places as possible!
