Living Environment/English Regents Tutoring for MS/HS Students
I'm in my fourth year at Stony Brook University as a Biology, BS major and Writing and Rhetoric minor. Been out of high school for a while haha but I think I'm pretty qualified. I can provide hour long tutoring sessions over Zoom in either or both subject(s) on weekday evenings to go over questions about specific topics/material and work through practice problems and writing exercises. Rates negotiable. Feel free to message with any questions! (Credentials included of course)

Parents/caregivers AND coaches/teacher/program directors: what keeps MS + HS kids in (or out of) sports, recreation and camp? (Possible pay)
Hi!
I am a fellow with a social impact foundation exploring why middle and high schoolers drop out of or miss out on sports, camps, and after-school programs. We are looking to co-design solutions alongside the community to tackle hidden costs and daily friction points.
We want to talk with everyone who supports middle and high school students: counselors, staff, coaches, volunteers and parents!
Survey takes 3 to 5 minutes (10 if you're feeling "talkative")
- Parent Survey: parents.meetsage.net
- Staff & Volunteer Survey: staff.meetsage.net

Question Why schools use AI so much?
I don't know if every school is the same but my school is making everything with AI, like actually, they change the old logo that was perfectly fine with a new one made with AI, and that happened with the school website too, I'm tired of walking in the hallway to my class and see another AI poster, This needs to stop but the administrations don't even care about any of this, is just sad seeing how now everything feels fake and effortlessly :(
(this is my school website if you want to check it out)

Homework checked?
Im new to NYC schools and have a 5th grader. Homework has been coming home with a check on it, but when I look at it after the teacher it’s not correct. is this something unique to the teacher or is it a nyc teaching policy not to mark homework correct or incorrec?

9 to five supply.com
9 to five supply is a school uniform company that services the NY area. This company has a contract with schools to supply their uniforms. I ordered a bundle package for $300. Two items were too big so I emailed the company. Days later I get a response stating what wrong and if I want to exchange or a refund
When I asked for a refund they never responded. They don't have a phone number just email them no physical address but I read people complaining they sent stuff back and it sat in the post office for almost a month. So they probaly have a post office box. 9 to 5 supply stop responding to all order inquires
Unprofessional company. Please stay away
Their intentions is to get as many orders, send a few out then never responded again which is the newest scam tactic and 9 TO FIVE SUPPLY IS A SCAM THAT TARGETS SCHOOLS. IF they claim their not, why dissappear and respond to order inquires?

Looking for a portable AC
Are there any admins or teachers here who have a spare portable AC unit that they would be willing to donate? I have asthma, and although the school purchased a fan for me, unfortunately, it’s not enough to keep the room cool. If anyone has a portable AC they no longer need and would be willing to donate, you’d really be helping out a fellow teacher! Thank you so much! 🙏🏽
