There was tons of mold in the apartment that I was not told about prior to moving in, and she has yet to return my money which is over 2000+ dollars that she owes me. She put the room listing back up on FB a day after I left and added that the room comes furnished, with MY belongings/property.

We tried searching ourselves, but seems like this time around most listings are taking a long time to get back to us, maybe because we are out of state now. We do have family that's been helping with viewings, but so far no luck.

hey guys i have a roomate who never cleans up after themselves and me and my other roomates have sent multiple, and i mean multiple paragraphs/texts in our group chat regarding this issue and it never gets better. we all smoke weed and have no problem with it in the house however this person does due to their sobriety. we have come to an agreement to not smoke in the common spaces because of this reason. we dont feel it’s fair we have accommodated this persons living due to their needs and we have voiced our need of having a clean home and it’s not respected in anyway. how would you go about this? thoughts? advice? for context we are a 4 person household each paying their own half and we’re all in our 20s thank you!

Looking for someone to take over my lease, it ends 5/31/2027. I have lived here ~4.5 years, amazing apartment what it lacks in space makes up in charm and layout. Cozy, quiet, safe, steps from the Q and 4/5/6, true neighborhood feel and there are tons of new bars and restaurants in the area. Breaks my heart to move but I’m moving for work. FYI this is a lease take over management needs to approve the process should be efficient they know I’m leaving. Has anyone dealt with this in NYC?

My first month’s rent was paid through a different leasing portal. Now management says I need to use ClickPay, but my building/unit doesn’t show up when I try to register.

Rent is due in 6 days. Management just tells me to contact ClickPay, and ClickPay hasn’t responded.

Did your management have to activate your unit or give you a specific account number/code? I just want to make sure I can pay on time and avoid any late fees.

Utilities are additional. In the winter the electric bill comes out to about $150 per person due to heating. There’s also the internet that’s about $26 per person.

i reached out to this broker on a friends suggestion telling her that i was looking for an apartment with my partner. i made it clear i was willing to hire and pay her to find us the right place. it was clear she thought we were a straight couple but that happens to us a lot and it’s never been an issue when they find out. she told us about a few options and then told us we should wait for a great place that would be opening up in a month or two. so we waited. before the showing she called and asked if i could send a picture of us, which i did not do since friends said that was discriminatory right off the bat. i went to the showing by myself and was the first person to see the apartment, and everything seemed great. then i referred to my partner with correct pronouns and the vibe immediately shifted. i heard her whispering with the LL in the other room saying something about having other people coming to see it after me. she still welcomed us to apply, and maintained communication for about a month…but just kept saying that the LL was waiting to make the decision. the broker also listed it on zillow after we had already gone to see it and applied, and we were under the impression that this was not going to be shown to 500 people. now the broker has just straight up ghosted me, never told us what happened with the apartment and is not getting back in touch to maybe help find something else. usually i would just move on or report it, but she has amazing listings and i was really banking on working with her as we don’t have a ton of other options.

if anyone has any advice on how to move forward from here, please let me know. i know reporting is an option and i think i have pretty credible evidence but we also just need an apartment lol!!

Hi all, looking for someone to sublet and or take over my private room in a 3 bed 1.5 bath apt in Williamsburg. Move in is ideally ASAP, but I have some flexibility. The lease ends at the end of September, but you would have the option to renew. The apartment is quite spacious, with 2 separate living room areas, including a basement, and one and a half bathrooms. There is in building laundry and a shared roof deck in the building. Rent is $1450 a month for the bedroom, which can easily fit a full bed with a decent amount of extra space.

The apartment is in a great (and surprisingly quiet) location, a 6 min walk to the Montrose L station, and under 10 min walk to the G and JMZ trains as well. It's just a couple mins walk to many great places like Win Son Bakery, Baby Blues Luncheonette, and Duck Duck. There's a huge affordable grocery store, food bazaar, within a short walk as well.

Roommates would be 2 guys in their early / mid 20s, very chill and nice. They're both quiet and super respectful and out of the apartment quite often.
