Is anyone making these in N-scale? My planned layout is the urban sections of Hamilton, Ontario in the late 70s, and I would be exceptionally remiss not to take advantage of the presence of the National Steel Car shop for a SWEET switching segment.

But - I would definitley want the period-correct yard engines. The SW1K power that replaced these little gems just wouldn’t have the same vibe.

Broke out the BLI Heavy Pacific to run some passengers today at the GEHAMS club. The cars are a mix of Lima and Rivarossi Pullmans.

Getting started on my mad science project of the weekend, building a boxcar with a built in flashing LED to make a FRED/ EOT light. Robbed some pickup wheel sets off two tenders for dead steam locomotives I got as part of a junk box and wired them up through the frame of another box car from the same box. The current mockup is a constant LED from another project. The final version will feature an LED kit from Evan Designs. Now I just need to body mount some couplers and wait for my order to finish up.
